After upgrading to Core 2.0n i've lost my sms-folders.
It only shows IPM-root when i click on sms.
MMS and email is fine, just a problem with the sms-folders.
I've searched the forum, but can't find the problem or a solution....

if you restore your sms's, so this error done by your sms restoring.
which app did you use for restoring??
I always use SPB Backup. Never had this problem before.....
I use Jeyo SMS Backup works great

I have received the MDA Vario III this week and started to backup all SMS, etc from my old Vario I.
Before that, I have simunlocked my Vario III and put on the official WM6.1 ROM (ROM 3.03.405.0.WWE, Radio 1.64.06.04),
I have backupped my old SMS, etc on the Vario I with PIM Backup (but also used HTC Data Backup) and trasfered the backup-file to my Vario III.
There I did a restore.
Contacts, call history, etc was restored fine.
Only problem is that not all my SMS was restored.
PIM Backup said to have restored 25 SMS (which is correct), but on the Vario III is shows only like 10 SMS in my inbox.
Does the Vario III automatically hide some SMS or something ?
Someone had the same problem ?

I had to restore twice. Once missed half of the messages I received. The second time they all appeared. I think I used the SMS/MMS software to clear all messages before the second restore.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction....I guess I completely overlooked it
I have tried several restores already, even only messages restore (or even only inbox restore), but I keep having only 10 messages where the database clearly says that 25 messages are in it.....
Strange....but I will discuss this further in the right thread.

this is only my personal opinion, for me the performance of WM6.1 is superb however the only thing i feel disadvantange/a little disappointed about WM6.1 is the way of sms program showing the message. i still like the old one style. really appreciated if you have the software to change it to the old one.

a little help here...once i change the key, its working fine and i like it. but the only thing problem now is there is now ringtone for new incoming message.i've tried to change other ringtone but it wont work too but it will work if i change back to original key by WM6.1..will ya help me out..
I was using spbbackup I also have sms backup and pim backup and none of them seem to beable to import the sms/mms that I had on my 6.0 rom to 6.1, I don't know if this has to do because 6.1 uses a threaded style sms...any advice?

The latest version of PimBackup works fine.
Once backed up, "Threaded SMS" will convert the conversations properly.
I used PPCPimBackup and it restored my SMS to the 'official' .02 HTC 6.1 rom no problems whatsoever
this did not however restore my SMS to the "Alex 6.1" builds...it restored select messages totally out of order and only about 1/10th of the messages

why do people keep their sms and mms messages? Do you not use email? I am not judging, just curious why one would want to keep their sms messages? Do you also move them to different folder like email users?

I am very new in this forum and i would like you guys give some ideas on how to resolve this problem.
I've been using WM6 and all the of the model are is the same, like sending contacts via SMS is easy, but treo 750 it seems very different, its send by MMS.
whenever i try to send contacts via SMS its show up MMS, i am surprise!..i dont want MMS send my contacts, i only want contacts send by SMS..can anyone help?
My another question is treo 750's home screen taskbar on the left "Email" and right is "menus" can it be change to normal default WM6? like "Contacts" & "SMS"?
Please guys i am searching everywhere on the internet and found no answ

reinstall the rom if the problem continues then its a hardware issue
Hi... I have a problem... I have about 34000 sms on my tytn II and, because it's starting to have some problem (I think the problem is caused for the large number of sms), I want to save all them on pc...
I have tried a large number of programs like Jevo Mobile Companion, spb Backup, Windows mobile SMS sync, ecc...
and I have tried, without solution of my problem, also some web solution like MyPhone or Dashwire...
but I don't find the solution of my problem with nothing of them....
That I'm searching is a program like SMS Diary...
I want to have all the sms in a simply file like a .html (so i don't have to use only one program, that in the future we cannot know if the program works again, to read my sms), and i want read the sms in chat style...

Hello, I recently upgraded my X10 to 2.3 and then used the GO SMS app
which i think is a faster sms app.
But now when I restored the phone to 2.1 and installed GO SMS on that
version my friends get double sms from me?
I encountered this problem last year too with this program, but not on 2.3?
I would appreciate a solution to this problem because the GO sms app has
the Emoji plugin which allows me to send and recieve smileys that usually
just Iphone has.

I downloaded the Handcent app instead and it worked better, wierdly..
