Hi,
This maybe should be in the development hacking channel, But im not sure it's 'hard core' enough...
What im looking for is someway to trigger a mort script when my phone makes the connection to my laptop via bluetooth.
I'm looking for any kinda of change that i can detect in the phone somehow, in order to trigger a mort script to set the WM06 Internet sharing to BT and connectable, so that i can get internet access on my laptop through my phone without having to touch my pocketPC....
I'm sure there are more people that would like this feature to make it as usable as DUN was...
any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Got it! (Kinda)
If i iniciate a object push to the phone, and have a mort script waiting for the windows title Recieving data... this can be my trigger.
Its easy to start an object push to the phone from the PC so the rest can be automated from here
will post back if i get a working script

Hi all,
I have searched and searched the forum and the internet but can find no answer to this issue.
I'm using an HTC Touch Dual (Neon 200) that I had set up to connect to my PC via bluetooth for Activesync.
No problems there, it all worked fine. The issue comes with my attempts to automate the synchronization. I had found and successfully used a program called CT Scheduler to start the bluetooth radio and then instigate the "Windows/repllog.exe" file to start a bluetooth activesync.
In Activesync, on the Touch, I go to "Menu-->Connections--->when cradled, synchronize all pc's using.........."
I had the option to select "`USB" or "`DIRECTORSOFFICE" (the name of my PC).
Now, I have no idea how the "`DIRECTORSOFFICE" option got there but I selected it and it all worked fine. I could connect via USB or Bluetooth and the auto-sync worked fine.
BUT, Here's the kicker, after a hard reset, I've restablished all my connections via bluetooth etc. and can manually initiate a sync via bluetooth. HOWEVER in the Activesync connections I can no longer select aything other than "`USB". For the life of me I cannot remember how I got the Touch to give me that other option and it is the ONLY thing preventing the auto bluetooth sync from working.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Hi and welcome to XDA,
did you do a H-Reset or a new rom flash? the new rom may not support BT Activesync, you should also pair your phone to your PC, that may enable the option
Eh - my bad...should have specified in my OP. This is running stock WinMo 6.1 Professional.
Did you pair to your PC?
Not this time around.....dammit you know that sounds like it might be it! I'll have to a backup, hard reset and try it out.
If that's truly the case and I can get that option available again then I have a really tidy solution for people wanting to Autosync via Bluetooth.
(Although this is probably not an issue nowadays as most phones are coming with WiFi, so I guess people are syncing that way)

OK, got too excited there. Of course I must have paired it with the PC or I wouldn't have been able to Activesync via BT manually right?

Depends what stack you have
Sorry, i don't think i can help
If i find anything, i'll let you know
Default MS BT stack for WinMo Pro 6.1. I haven't changed anything on this ROM at all.
I must have done something during BT setup that allowed that option to appear but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was!
It's not a huge deal as I luckily had a backup with that configuration working, I was just being a bit anal about doing a complete clean install, there were a few programs I wanted to get rid of and felt my phone had slowed up a bit.
Cheers.

Will this allow the HD2 to make wi-fi n phone calls? To some this may be a goofy question but if this item is windows as the HD2 is & I connected them both with an adapter would this allow the HD2 to make wireless wi-fi n phone calls? It seems a simple idea but my knowledge is short at my age.
If it doesn't why not? I haven't left windows yet & I'm so close to getting another phone & I just want to make sure what TMO phone to get. TIA.
No, the adapter is for windows operating system not windows mobile.
Thanks but if I did connect the two what would happen? Nothing?
Just trying to find a way to make the Leo wi-fi call. Thx.

This item is just to connect a laptop or PC to an existing wifi network. The only way it could be used in a connection between an HD2 and a computer is if you have the HD2 setup as a wifi router and you connected the pc to that....which is pretty much the exact opposite of how you would need the connectivity setup. But, it's still all kind of moot...that adapter won't do anything to enable voip calling on the HD2
Thank you sirphunkee, to do a proper reserch I just ordered an HD2 for .01 at Amazon a few minutes ago. I figure if I have the phone it would be much easier to find a way to solve this problem. Besides for .01 what am I going to lose.
Agreed your answer being moot is correct I do agree. Thanks.
Hope this is the right place for this.
I know there are tons of apps out there that does this but here is my situation.
I am in a public speaking class and it would be really nice and easy for me and other students if we could control our slides from our phones or tablets.
My question is what would be the best way to do this on a school computer. I can install apps no problem, but they get erased after the computer gets restarted due to a deep freeze program of some sort. So simply installing the server application before hand won't do.
Is there some sort of solution that has maybe a portable executable that one can run on their flash drive just for the time that they need to connect their device to the computer?
Both of the devices will be on the same network (one wired and one wireless).
hi everyone, so i'm wondering if there is any way to install the motorola drivers to a flash drive... basically i want to connect my phone to my work computer but i do not have admin rights. the reason i want to do this is because our internet connection is extremely slow and unreliable, so i would like to use my unlimited data plan from my phone tethered to the computer. Ive done quite a bit of searching online, and short of cracking the admin password (which i dont want to do) i havent found anything that could help. If anyone has any ideas i would be very appreciative...
the IT guys are offsite, so asking them is not really an option... altho if i do see one here ever i plan on bugging him to install the drivers for me.
if i understand correctly, i think you would need the drivers installed on the computer to do usb tethering. the only thing i can think of is to have a whole bootable OS on the thumb drive, and boot that up and tether inside there. or maybe someone else knows something more..
i don't tether much, so i also don't know if there are any good wireless tethering options on thins device.. had you thought of that at all?
Without admin rights, having the stuff on a USB key is kinda useless - as you'd need admin rights to run the software on the USB key.
If you don't have the proper rights on the machine, you won't be able to install the appropriate software.
You could wifi tether, but if it's a workstation there's probably no wifi chip - and if you had a USB one you wouldn't be able to install the drivers for it...
If you're at work, unfortunately you're just going to have to work mate
yeah thats what i was afraid of unfortunately. thanks for the ideas though... guess i will just have keep streaming music through the phone...
im confused as to what this is, reading up on it (im not THAT lazy) it seems like a vnc solution to allow people to remote to your phone. My queries come from people using it to fix bricked devices, surely the phone has to be functional for it to be seen? or have i got the wrong end of the stick?

yeah thats it basically its a p-2-p vnc which doenst need configuring firelwalls proxys etc...
Also yes to fix someones phone they would have to do the manual step of plugging the phone in when omap4boot asks for it and unplugging it but there are voice chat functions even video and ftp all built into this app
to clarify what's been said: TeamViewer allows you to remote control PC or Mac, not your phone. You can of course use that computer as if you were there, only someone has to plug the phone in/out for you. Then you can control it via adb and root/flash/recover it with usual tools.
