hey folks,
when my mdac was off, it needs some time until you can activate bluetooth after switching it on. if you dont wait long enough, you only get "no bluetooth hardware installed" message. only switching off/on again brings back the bt functionality.
is this only happening with my device? if i recall right, it didnt happen with rom 1.03...

but I found it, it is because I have installed calendar ++ today plug in...
you try to remove this field from today.., it will back to normal...
a software problem was also my first thought but even after a hard reset i can reproduce the bt issue?
Had the same problem.
Did a Hard reset on PDA.
And removed all bluetooth devices from dektop-pc
Let windows search for new devices and everything should be ok.
Did a hardreset half an hour ago and got the same message.
Theres no bluetooth software installed
Did a reset and stil the message.
Did another reset and damn.....stil no luck only that stupid message.
And than i did a soft reset while the mda was on the usb sync cable to pc.
MDA recognized computer and everything worked fine.
So if you got this problem, just connect PDA to pc and reset.

This has happened to me ranomly one time. I also have Calendar + today plug in as well. But I have not done any update of ROM to 1.06 at all...
I think its just a buggy OS - not surprising from Microsoft.....
I also confirmed that I experienced the same thing before the ROM 1.06 upgrade.
At most, we can only conclude that the upgrade does not fix this bug, rather than claiming that the upgrade causes this bug.
try using pocket bluetooth tools v.1.0.1.2, works wel for mini with rom106.

I got fed up with the bluetooth and GPRS hassle of 1.06. Instead, I have now mixed and matched, and am quite happy with the combination in my signature.

MDA Compact -> KSE Truefax

i-Mate Jam -> ROM 1.03
Qtek s100 -> Radio 1.05
T-Mobile MDA to your rom, how to?
Starting with a T-Mobile MDA, how difficult would it be to get to your phone? Can you give any broad steps or links to follow? Appreciate the help. This rom is kind if slow?
Same error for me, with the original french rom.
What work for me : remove the sdcard, do a soft reset, and reinsert the sdcard after the boot process.
Has anybody tried some different stack for the Magician...as for the Qtek 9090 there are some widcome stack or others...don`t know exactly...that made some emprovements on the Magician BT? I would like to use it in car with some good BT headset...

Hmm BT sux because of the BT stack...in ROM 1.03 I have no such problems (as described above)...I`m gonna wait for a few days and if the problems will be still there...will put back the 1.03 ROM.

I've just done a soft reset without calendar+ checked and without the SD and I don't have the BT stack message anymore...

Funny...so if we want the BT to work we have to use the magician without the SD card...oh my god that is simply impossible!

don't be that sarcastic : the only thing you have to do is do your soft reset without the SD card sloted in. But after the boot is completed you can of course re insert it !

OK...but if I have some appz installed on the SD card? Then I have to soft reset again with the SD card in...and the problem is there again...?!

I have been flashed many devices with modifed qtek rom.
And I did not see any of these errors.

Pc78, I don't think you will need any software installed on your SD card while rebooting your JAM...
Just (1) take your SD card out, (2) soft-reset your device, (3) re-insert your card, and (4) use your JAM normally.

I own an MDA compact on t-mobile uk,
whilst on there homepage i saw a "update your MDA software"alert,
i downloaded the software and ran it.
the MDA then went off and when turned back ran a hard reset.
the MDA then runs thru the set up,when thats complete is shows a grey type screen with serail v1.02
its frozen on this screen and unuseable any effort to do anything makes a repeat cycle of the above
please help me turn my paperweight back into a pda

the power & camera & soft-reset button will bring you in bootloader, just where you're now.
You'd better connect USB & run the update again. Something got broke the previous time, that's why you're in bootloader now.

only problem(sorry guys still learning)from the bootload screen the pc wont see the device is connected and if i try to run the device to get to a standard screen to sync it just reboots?

ive manged to get the pc to see the pda and ran it under a guest partnership,
once it had seent he pda, i re-ran the update,but each time it goes thru the motions then gives and error msg.
man im goin back to a normal handset next time

Ok that's the 1.13WWE rom, which is available sine october last year. Should be a normal rom without problems. If you never updated before & still in your warranty period, return your device.
BTW have you rebooted your PC during your sequence off tries?
Guess your no pain, but you got bad luck in upgrading this time. You did the right steps to cure everything.

Did you ever make a rom-dump of your working device? Otherwise you can try to make one now & do a SD-update.

I wonder if you can help. I have trawled this and many other forums and found many people that are having problems with their HTC Prophet or variations of the same device.
I have the Orange SPV M600, it was in my pocket and when I took it out to turn it on, it was displaying the bootloader screen after seemingly soft resetting itself. It is displaying the tri-colour bootloader with the following IPL/SPL
- IPL 2.10.0001 - SPL 2.10.0001
I have tried the following things that I have found in the forums:
1. Taking the battery out for 10 minutes ~ Still the same.
2. Hard Reset ~ I get the "Press SEND button to factory restore" message
but nothing happens when I push the call button.
3. Reflashing the ROM ~ I am unable to do this. I only have Vista and
WMDC does not see the phone in bootloader mode.
Is the phone dead? If so how could this have happened?
If anyone could help I would be eternally greatful. Oh and to add another complication the phone is still CID Locked

well if you where is south africa i would of helped you im sure if you have it runing on xp it will work my jamin did the same and all i did was push the camera button and reseted it got into tri colour mode and reflashed it

If I was closer you could have sent the phone to me and I would have had a go at reflashing the rom, but I'm at the other end of the country....

guyz i have a jamin.. my cousin was flashin it and flashed the wrong software.. if i reset the phone it shows the boat loader screen!! and i cnat do anythin..caz u tell me which slftware to flash..and how to do it?? My freind told me all solution to my problem's will be solved here

First of all, download the NVID (no vender) AKU2.2 from here. http://rapidshare.com/files/17208693/RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe
Then, open activesync, select connection settings and UNCHECK the connect through USB option.
Then run the NVID file. It will take a while, and may seem to get stuck at 80% or 95%. Just leave it alone.
When that's done, you can either use it as it is, or load anyother ROM you want.

First get a version of ActiveSync, any will do, but more recent is probably better. Then download the ROM (see above). In ActiveSync>Connection Settings uncheck the Connect through USB option. Then connect the Prophet.
Next Unzip the NVID file, and run RUU_PROPHET... This will flash your Prophet with a very basic ROM. If you then want to upgrade to a different ROM follow these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310452
my prophet was working normaly and while i was installing a program it stoped. i formated it and reinstalled the windows but what happened is:
1-it doesnt recognize the memory card anymore
I thought it is rom problem , i tried to install anothere rom but THERE IS NO 3 colour screen but the prophet is working

Listen up
First off all charge the battery for 2 hours before doing this.
After turn on the device and press for 5 seconds the com button on the left side of the device.
You will enter the 3 colours loader.
Connect the device to the PC.
Step 2 Install the original Rom
Step 3 Do a Rom update use step 2 of pdamobiz Rom, select update rom file and wait.
Step 4 Do a hardspl G3 or G4 see your device to see witch one is it.
Step 5 install a new Rom with the RUU update utility G3 or G4.
Then you just have to wait the device to reboot and you can use it.
Note: Use the 2.19 radio Rom its the most stable, you can install it after installing the final Rom ok.

i am sorry but i thought the three colour screen meens bootloader my problem now that i cant change this rom as it dont recognize the memory and also there is prblems with bluetooth.

Listen up that procedure i explained would put the PDA working 100%, if you have the problems you say you do, its because you installed a rom inappropriate for you device. The memory and bluetooth problems come from bad radio rom and from roms that are not suitable for the device, you mad bad installations, that is the real origin for your problems, if you want to stay with your device with problems fine, in my opinion the best is to put the original rom in and after that, do the rest of procedure if you don´t want to this its up to its your device not mine.

If everything goes well the 3 colour screen will appear.

With Active Sync i am still able to connect and see the content on the device, so i tried to remove the install via Active Sync Add/Remove Programs.
After booting still the same.
I had a Dutch ROM on it, and downloaded a copy of it via link from xda-developers because i had no backup. How do i proceed? The device has no SIM Lock.
1. How can i restore these .RAW files ?
2. What utilities do i need to restore ?
Any help is very much appreciated, i am lost and this happened only 2 days after i have the device and the first program i installed

Have you tried just hard resetting the phone ?
I tried this, by using the red button under the stylus in combination with the volume. My alarm is still working and the screen pops up but nothing else then my HTC logo. It looks like something in the loader process is screwed
I have no idea how to get this repaired again ! If you have any suggestions i would be happy to hear, feels misserable that you can screw the OS by installing just one program to it.
