testing
I tried in my Elf for around 10 hours, it works fine as usual so far.
Thanks for sharing this.
The thing with radio is, usually if it's working fine for you then you're hesitant to upgrade it, especially if you're not 100% sure if the new radio version is stable ...
Can more ppl chime in if the new radio version is working fine?
The one thing I care more about is actually BT reception ... I have 3.07.90 and while the phone reception is pretty good, BT reception is terrible ...
Image file corrupted ... anyone has another source?
its not corrupted..probably u have to unlock the CID of ur phone...i am using it successfully on my phone for last 12-15 hours
How risky is it to update the Radio? If it goes wrong, can I update it again, or does it have the potential to brick my device like a ROM update?

hey keep us in the loop on how things go over the next few days buddy .... if all is well after another 3-4 days I'll upgrade to this ROM too!
BTW, have you noticed any difference in battery drain?

Sure thing ... thanks a lot!
And how do you update? Just use RUU and put the radio ROM in the same folder? And I guess you have to rename the .nbh file "ROM_signed.nbh"?
(Edit ... silly me... it's already named ROM_signed.nbh ... so I guess put it in the same folder as RUU and just run the Rom Update utility and it'll update itself?)
For those with Rogers Elfins, we have 03.07.90 for our current Radio version.
There is a thread that has this 03.07.90 version of the radio to download:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=342265
Would this work if we tried to do a restore of 03.07.90 on an Elfin?
dsixda, until someone's actually tried to downgrade back to 3.07.90 I guess we just won't know ... but good thing you have found the thread with the current radio ROM, so worse comes to worst you can always try.
I just know last time 3.12.90 was available, people upgraded to it, and had all sorts of problems with it (phone dropping connection for no reason), they were able to go back to 3.07.90 without any problem.
Which does not 100% guarantee you can go back from 3.18.90 to 3.07.90, but it's a good start. And really, here we hope the new radio is stable enough we won't have to go back anyways.

Does anyone know how to shrink the extended ROM for the Wing/herald? I put a 2MB extended rom into my image and when I go to flash I get an invalid file size error.

It's impossible. Unfortunately, our SPL's flash drive's driver only supports a 10MB one. Believe me, I've tried... and I got comfirmation from cmonex, a SPL expert. Unfortunately, there is nothing to be done, as the drivers are device specific. (Unless someone was somehow good enough to code a whole new driver for the Herald.)

It's ok. I went through the same headache about 2 years ago. I just don't think I ever actually told anyone about it.
Here is the latest,
It contains a new boot.img and recovery.img
http://www.unlocksolutions.us/XDA/OTA_Supersonic_3.30.651.3-3.30.651.2.zip
Anyone have any information on it ?
well thats intresting?
bad block fix maybe?
Who knows, i'm s-off for now
Updating
ill take a shot.
Ok people,
Updated the phone. Looks like root and nand unlock still possible.
tried to update but i got an error message!
What error ?
3.30.651.3 will address issues where users are experiencing power cycling when accessing the camera through some applications.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Hmm it updates a lot of crap just for a fix for camera... Anything else ? It updates the whole framework folder, fotaboot etc.
Mine threw me an error. I did a Nandroid, then downloaded and installed the new OTA.
It says,
E:Error in /cache/Supersonic_3.30.651.3-3.30.651.2_releaseziblddc3oqo05zyk.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Weird, so far I am thinking maybe this is only for newer Evos that came with 3.30.651.2 as the default ROM (the new hardware 0004 with the new camera chip).
Mine is a Evo version 0003 with the Epson panel. Bought in July of this year of course.
Think Sprint is trying to throw us some curveballs or put a bandaid on their newest.
Doesnt make sense,
My girlfriends evo is HW V3. I updated it.
Mine is HW V2-3 and its updated now.
ok i guess this is the .30 you were talking about..how do i apply this ...as an update.zip or PC36IMG.zip thru HBOOT?... like i said on my previous post on the other thread of HBOOT 2.02 off i dont have root anymore... please let me know so i do the right thing...thanks

You cannot just "install" the file posted. Well, at least I cannot!
Here is what happens when I try and install it (both from OTA and flashed.)
Same results, see picture.
This is not the update i was talking about. read my thread i have pointed to it so many times already.

interesting.
definitely has a kernel (boot.img) and recovery.img
majority of patches are done to /system/framework - 44 files
including - com.sprint.hardware.twinCamDevice.jar.p
system/lib/modules are also included to go along with the kernel (boot.img)
system/etc/otacerts.zip is also present
everything else is standard for an OTA, it seems.
doesn't appear to be significantly changes...also, the OTA server isn't offering this to EVOs on 3.29...

Right - and this won't be - Sprint reps are being told to verify the HW version and Build version before doing any camera hardware swaps, etc. as putting a 3.29 build camera in a device with 3.30 build will cause nuclear meltdown
I see this causing a lot of problems in the future for Sprint (and HTC) as new updates come out - and for ROM devs as well - we now have two different frameworks and two different Evo types.... the potential for a lot of noob issues is there....

yep...i was just thinking the same issue.
The question is all evos should be able to get this due to the fact it should be backwards compatible.

Yeah - should be. I have noticed some issues with Myn's ROM on the 3.30 build that I am not sure if they're related to 3.30 or for some reason my hw v002 phone.... (pissed that I got a v002 when I got it replaced for a 4G issue - had v003 and could OC to 1.226 but now with v002 can't get above 1.15)
3.30 isn't supposed to work on hardware 0002? Works on my phone...
Hey,
I want to reset my One S to the standard HTC-ROM, but I did not found an working one. Most of the links are dead and the ones that are working, cannot be flashed... The ROM that I tried to flash was one from the official OTA servers from HTC, but it showed up an error message while flashing. Does anyone have the HTC-ROM for the villec1 europe edition?
ATM I don't have the One S here, but I will pick it up later (it was in repair), if you would need more infos like the radio-version or things like that I could add it later.
Thanks!

Thank you very much! This was exactly what I searched for. Installed it with THIS tutorial, really helpful. Now I finally managed it to go back to stock.
so about a month ago i had my iconia rooted and somehow it got soft bricked (i cant remember how) and ive been trying to reflash to fix it. after a couple weeks i was finally able to make some progress and get it to boot up all the way to the language select BUT the touch screen doesnt work anymore so im stuck again. i know its a software issue because the thing is practically new. doesnt even have a scratch on it and ive been storing it in the original box when i didnt have time to work on it.
Rom i flashed is : Acer_AV052_A1-830_1.014.00_WW_GEN1_FLASHPKG.7z
if more information is needed i can see if i can access it somehow. If anyone knows about something i can try to fix it using fastboot or adb it would be much appreciated. ive tried all the post about soft bricks and the screen not working for this device but unfortunately it isnt that popular so there arent many threads on it.
thanks

i got it to flash but the touch screen still isnt responding. i know its not a hardware problem since the thing is brand new still and it was working fine before.
