just bought metal case for 2020 and discovered that the hole where probably i should read the number of the caller is on the wrong place - 2020 show number a lot lower... should i install some phone theme or something to move it a bit up ?
try S2U software ..
you will find it in the software forum
S2u software works fine, you should try that... send me a pm if you get stuck

HI,
The otherday i was cleaning and changing the case of my Magician.
I made a wrong move and pulled out the camera, lucky the camera was connected by what it looks like a socket.
So yea, im just wondering, would it be possible to buy another camera module, coz the camera is just plain crap.
im just looking at ways of improving my magician lol.
whitemoo.
if its a standard conection id say yes i did a cam change on an old nec e808y it worked so i cant see why not id head off to maplin and pick up a cam let me know how you get on or if you get stuck
Actually the Magician's camera is a bit... weird. It hangs off by a thin parallel connection instead of being soldered to the board, which I don't think many other cameras do. I dunno, I've given up all hope on that terrible camera
ive just about given up hope to, im only wondering cause my real digicamera is in repair, and im itching to take photo's.
I was looking at aftermarket parts for camera phones, and saw camera modules which looked like they had similar connections, so there might be hope.
When i do get my real digicamera back from repair ill take some high res shots of the connector, and aftermarket case's for reference on this forum.
Whitemoo.
yer get some shots of where it connects to the phone as well
Can anyone give me a detailed description of how to change the case of O2 mini. I have tried to open the case many times but failed. iam afraid i might void the warranty.
Hi maharishi_b,
ill be giving my detailed photo's of the inside of the xda mini soon, and photo's of aftermarket cases i bought off ebay, compared to the original. This will all come soon.
you will need a plastic case opener similar to what they use to open the ipod's, and a torx screwdriver.
Theres a post with pictures on how to open it, but i cant seem to find it.
Whitemoo.
Torx size 6 to be precise. Stupid seller who sold me my casing shipped me a size 5, and I almost made the bottom two screws round before I realised.
Also I dont use the plastic case opener - I find a thin metal thing to be more effective, though I dont know what its called - it holds the binding thing... nevermind.
hi!
This is my first post here. I have the following problem: yesterday my phone was fine...today not. Yesterday I was using the touch screen as usual with no problem, today the battery was to low and I turned off the phone. When I get back home, I connected the phone to charge it, and PUF!! the touch screen was not working at all...sometimes I can tap some menu, sometimes not, but in general terms, I can only use my phone with the keyboard. I did a soft and hard reset and nothing happened, I don´t know what else to do. I see this is kind of common problem, but no one has a common solution. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
My phone has windows mobile 6.1 Professional. CE OS 5.2.19971 (Build 19971.1.2.6)
ROM version 1.95.502.5 WWE
Radio version 1.02.25.32
Protocol version 52.39c.25.22H
u were able to use the windows 6.1 explorer? like looking for files under files explorer with no problem?
my phone is just as new as yours, i feel so frustrated! I was able just to use the keyboard, no touch screen commands were functioning. As i said, I have seen too many people complaining about this (if I would have known that, I would´nt buy this piece of crap)

At any time did you apply too much pressure on the screen?
Is your d-pad still working?
What about other hardware buttons besides the keyboard?
As I said, one day was working perfectly, and next day a kept it turned off since the battery was gone, and I was not at home to recharge it. So basically one day was fine and 12 hours later was not. The rest of the buttons are fine.
I did a hard reset, and at some point of the process the device indicates that I need to align screen, so a small cross show up in the middle of the screen (yo oughta know how is this...) well: I tap the cross and nothing happens....I tapped again...and nothing happens...3 tries later, finally the cross moves and the process goes on, To complete the process it takes me about 15 minutes!!!!!! but still nothing works out, the align screen process starts over again, and thats it!
At least, before the hard reset I was able to start my phone....now is impossible
Dont know what to do...

well then you have several options:
1) bring phone back to the entity you purchased it from considering you stated it was new it should be covered under warranty unless you purchased it from eBay w/o warranty
2) If you know it is the Touch Screen then I suggest using xda search function and searching "Think your digitizer is broken" and apply it the Fuze rather than the Tilt
3) attempt to replace the screen
4) sell it "as-is" for a loss
Problem solved!!!
Thanks guys for the suggestions. This seems to be a very common problem. But in my case the solution was simpler than I would ever though!! I read in other posts that this unresponsive touch screen problem is usually created by particles of dust, (sand! in my case), stuck in that tiny gap between the screen cover and the phone body, and the solution was to gently pass a piece of paper thin enough, (flexible plastic CD cover, in my case) well....Having tested all kinds of software """solutions""", and been prepared to pay for an expensive fix (I live in Costa Rica, this kind of phones are not common use, so fixes are expensive)...so I gave I try to this solution...and surprisingly IT WORKED...there were lots of dust, and even sand grains stuck in that gap, and like the phoenix...my phone got back to life!
Its amazing how delicate are these devices!! I think they are intended for enclosed-temp-controlled-ultraclean places only.
I hope this helps a lot of people having the same problem.
Thanks!

More info needed on "HTC fuze touch screen not working"
Hey, Ive tried following the thread about the htc fuze touch screen not working... up until the part about sand in 'some space between something...'
can someone provde more context/ pics? of where the sand might be.. because it sucks trying to use the fuze without a touch screen.
thanks for the help.
and the HTC customer support immediate went to the "well just hard reset the phone"... how quickly they are willing to erase all that data and hours of work to reconfig the phone..
any help is appreciated...
They were talking about the tiny gap between there the top layer of the screen (the material you touch) comes into contact with the body I believe. What you can try doing is running a piece of paper or something thing enough to wedge out the dirt in that area.
another somewhat common problem is the newton ring. You'll see an oily residue in the center area of your screen (it looks like rainbows). What I believe happens with this is your screen gets stuck to the actually LCD display underneath and doesn't bounce back to go back to it's resting state. What some people have said is to get some sort of adhesive material and use that to pull the screen up gently, so it goes back to resting. People have used tape and the such. Just be careful you don't pull the screen off your device.

Here down my problem was...
Hi, friends. I have got dust in front camera of my phone. It had happened three three months before also, but at that time had got it done as only two day of warranty were there. But now it has happened again. So I thought to try to open my phone. I opened seven screws from back side. But i can not open inner back cover as volume button and lock button are attached with it through holes. So need help if anyone have tried before and have opened the phone before. I searched on google also to find proper answer but i didn't get. I found manual of our phone but there was nothing about hardware. If i can open inner back cover and can remove dust by my self. I think if i can solve it by my self and don't have to pay money to sammy as i find that they some times take much money. So if anyone can help here before I need to go to sammy.
Search google disassembly of galaxy S GT 9000

Theres dust in your front cam glass means your touch screen glass has slightly come off near the front cam. Try to just pull out a little bit.. N insert a ear bud... Yess a ear bud to wipe the dust off. And then a couple of adhesive drops will stick the screen back.
It had happened to me.. N this is what i did.

@nitinvaid:- Thanx, typing "disassembling galaxy sl i9003" helped me a lot. Even i got all types of maual for hard-ware and soft ware base. Almost every stuff related with our phone both hardware and software....
@chinmay_7d:- I didn't get this "your touch screen glass has slightly come off near the front cam"... I cleared the dust with ear buds..
After all I did it my self. However it is quiet risky and one needs to be very care-full. One can brick his\her phone and divide it into little stone. I got one little crack on inner back cover but i will solve it and i got an ic loose which i had to attach with tap and cotton. However i got to know very much about the spar-parts. I am think of making this thread base on hardware help with all manuals available.....What do u say guys??? Should I or not.

Ya buddy...go ahead. It will help people
I have a T-Mobile US Note 4 phone. I wanted to start over nice & clean so I did an advanced wipe & wound up with 'No OS'. Should have wiped the internal only I guess. I seriously screwed up. I have tried reinstalling the OEM firmware using Odin with downloads posted on this site. https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...mware-firmware-kernel-modem-recovery-t2902574 There are four versions. I downloaded them all & I unzipped them all. I tried each one & they each have the same error shortly after running FAIL! (Auth). I don't even know which model I specifically have, because I wiped every trace of it away! But if it can only be one of these four.... IDK I'm not script literate. I love my phone. I have no cash flow. PLEEEASE help me. It's 4:11 AM. I have stuff to do tomorrow. I want my phone back. Life is hard. I know it was stupid. Bleh (also hungry, must sleep, god speed Ironman)
Hi
It's very important to find out exactly the model number you have, blindly flashing may cause total damage so, either check on its box or inside of the phone, somewhere on the charging port the model number should be written
A small hint of fixing it here

I'm having a hard time finding the model number. I bought it used so there's no box. Behind the battery there's supposed to be a label. It's been removed. I can still see the adhesive residue where it once was. This is all that's left & when I search for it I come up with nothing. Where the label was ripped of there's a 10 digit number to the right of a copper circle: N4B07KHa1A
Underneath where the battery fits, the last bit of the phone between the corner where the stylus goes & the right bottom corner, there's a small number pressed into the plastic TR - N4 #7-1, except N4 is printed on top while the other's are molded in. The inside of the case has a QR code & printed above it it reads: N910T with a (W) underneath it. The QR code brings up: GH98-35102A. The bottom of the case there's a stamp: S4B20V59H1. OMG There's more of those little molded no.'s. They are innocuous. They mean nothing. I don't know what to do. You're saying downloading & flashing these will destroy my phone?

There are so many to pick from!
What about restoring from SD? Can that harm my phone? Is there by chance data encoded into pics, or anything that are on my SD card that reveal the model number of the phone they are taken with?

If you put your phone in download mode and use kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery it will return your phone to factory stock and it will also tell you your exact model number
Okay! That is gold. So let me get your opinion on this... Dude I bought it from fixed it, said I owe him, & that he won't do it again, but check this out. He also informed me this phone is especially touchy, because it was blacklisted & he had to forge the IMEI & make a custom binary for it. It was indeed the original SM-N910T. Now for whatever reason it won't boot into recovery & when I try, rather as is, or installing root, it just get's stuck in 'booting in recovery' /Android logo. To make it worse when l remove the battery & reboot my touch screen calibration is off by a lot. I have to update the firmware with *#2663#. Given all this, do you concur it would be unwise to try your program? Or are you of the mind it's more fail proof?
Hi, I'm a new member to this forum! I've been looking for OPO's styleswap cover forever but it's near impossible to find it now in 2020. So, I looked around oneplus's forums and found the .stl file for the phone with the correct dimension. Maybe I can 3D print it?
I've never learn how to edit a mesh, or anything related to 3D modeling and was playing around with Fusion 360 (Apparently Undergrads can get a educational version so I used that) to edit the mesh so that only the back cover and the important hinges are intact. I've done the editing last year and posted onto the OnePlus subreddit, but the post was buried...
Attached is my Google Drive folder to the original .stl file that was used for some peripheral contest for the OPO (https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-x-ultimaker-creative-contest.270990/) and the one that I've edited. I can't seem to fix the bottom left hand corner hinge as it was model in a way that Fusion will delete that face too...
I hope someone can help me check if this cover is acceptable, give me some advice on how to fix it and maybe help me improve on a bit?
