problem with identify incoming call

hi dudez,
Sometimes when i got call i dont see name of call just show me number, There is a fix for this problem?
Thanx anyway,
ZPDY
that means the person calling you is not in your address book
I don't think zdpy means a person not in his address book!
I have noticed the same thing - intermittently.
The individual ringtones of CallerID aren't working at all on my Magician (I ALWAYS get the default ringtone), and sometimes even the name is not displayed.
I suspect this happens because I seem to have too many contacts (>600, overall >1500 phone numbers)...
I have been removed CallerID and still sometime show me only number with no name even the number store in my addressbook.

Can not set incoming phone call ring tone

Hi,
I have Vodaphone Treo 750 and I can not set incoming phone call ring tone to anything. I mean I change it in settings but incoming calls still ring default ring tone.
What could be the reason.
Greg
Go to setting/sounds and notifications/notifications and in the event box slide down to phone: and there are 4 different places to set it; known caller, unknown caller, missed and roaming. That will do it.
Thanks,
That's actually fixed it (sort of). I was unaware of "roaming call" sound and that's what was happening, since my wife roaming for some reason all calls were marked so.
Now the question is why phone shows as roaming when wife has Cingular (former ATT) card and on Cingular network.
Got the same problem but worse... I change ringtone in the settings tabs (known/unknown...) but treo keeps always the same ringtone. What's strange is that it worked fine till 2 days. Maybe a programm messed up something but i can't remember what i've installed.

Any software to make sending DTMF touchtones possible??

Hey guys,
I just started using Treo 750. I love it so far except few things I miss about my old Nokia. Earlier I used to dial a calling card number and then just choose the contact's destination number by selecting "Touch Tone" option from the menu while in call, and it would touch tone that number for me and I was connected. Now, WM5 phone app doesnt seem to be able to do it, and I have to write down the contact's number on a paper first before dialing calling card access number.
Also, I know a comma can be used a 1-second soft pause, but any possible way to add hard pauses in the phone number like traditional cell phones can do... Its cumbersome carrying calling card's PIN code in pocket, and then entering it after dialing calling card number and then punching in destination number from a paper again... its frustrating...
I tried to look up a lot of dialers and apps, but none was a helpful find. Could someone suggest any way out.
anybody???

I am using a product called MagiCall which has the calling card feature as well as calls filtering and SMS filtering.
I think it can help you.

[Request] Block Call application

Hi !
I am looking for an application wich can block call instantly, without one ore two rings before droping call or redirecting to voice mail. I tried a few applications from market like SPC, aFirewall etc. and i am very disappointed. Every one of them droping call after one or two rings, so caller will realize that i have an firewall installed.
Thank you !
In order for your phone to block a call, it must know there is a call to block... It has to ring on the other end, or there would be nothing to block.
Gblocker is as good as it gets
I had iBlacklist on iPhone, call filter on nokia and those apps dropped the call instantly. The phones did not ring at all.
So, there must be another explanation...

If the call if rejected by your phone the caller can always know this is happening... however your carrier should be able to blacklist numbers for you in the event of mischief and in this case the caller will actually hear a "no such number" tone and the call will never be handed to your phone to deal with.
I'm not sure if your Nokia or iPhone solution actually managed a local or a network blacklist. If it was a local blacklist then for sure the caller knows they've been hung up on (even if it doesn't ring at your end)!
aFirewall the best for me

If you go to a contact, and then to go options, there is an option to send that call directly to voicemail. Phone doesn't even ring.
aFirewall is eating my batery very fast. And it does ring one or two times before droping the call (even more when it came back from sleep/stand by).
Refer to iBlacklist, i can tell you that it is blocking the call somehow before ringing - i tried to call from another phone and it divert the call to voice mail instantly, with no ring - sounds like network busy tone.
The same for Nokia.
Anway, thanks for your suggestions !
The best solution is the modified Phone.apk from Cytown. You can block the call
in the same way carrier does. Your phone never make any sound, or turn on the screen...
Nothing happens, like the call never exist.

Yes this works. it is already built into the phone. I have a few numbers set up this way already. Why are you guys using apps for this?
Because i don't want to add to contacts every not wanted numbers. And i need that application to manage scheduled profiles (again, like iblacklist - no, i don't want an iphone just for this app), so i can manage when and for whom i am availlable.

HTC u12+ Random friends can't call my phone ;S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the most wired problem i never seen before....I living i Denmark and since i was in Niederlands at Qlimax 23 Novemeber i got a problem with incomming calls...
Since i got Home i experienced that i can Make calls to friends and write SMS/MMS but i can only receive SMS/MMS or FB chat etc but when my friend told me that my phone does give him a alert that "the phone he want to contact does not exist" ...Wired is that i my most used numbers like my mother and friends can call me but not all the time....I have checked all settings in my phone and there is no Blocked numbers and i use HTC default call app and i did not change any settings when i was or went home from Niederlands.....
I also called my provider and there is all as it must with my sucribtions .....
Only thing i know that is wired is under "call" settings like Sim 1 Call settings....All settings like forwarding are deactivated and i dont know what is default...cant find reset button on it.....
I could ofc just make backup and safe phone numbers then i have a new Sim card i can activate to replace my current ....and i could go into safe mode etc and reset settings but i am sure that this is only some or only 1 settings wrong ....
I could use ALL EVEN STUPID IDEA's to help here...
