Notes Program Suggestions - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

Does anyone know of a program like "Sendtobeta"?
It allow you to select text from a website on your desktop and send it directly to your pocket pc as a note or text file. Sendtobeta is very limited and they stop developing it. Thanks In Advance

Shortcut to Text Messages

Does anybody know a way of creating a shortcut to messages and navigating directly to Text Messages. By default it takes you to the last account you were active in.

Do you want to start a new message, or just open the SMS inbox?
V
Start a new message.
Thanks
I've got an app. will post it later, hopefully tonight. Still at work.

This should work if you put the link in something like Pocket Plus.
Unfortunately as WM2003SE upwards you can't specify whether it is SMS or Inbox or MMS etc, so you will need to make sure the correct account is already selected before using the links.
To edit it, open Notepad and drag the file into the window, then change the name in the To section.

Guys, I've posted programs to quick dial and SMS from shortcuts

Tell me how it goes!

PS Anton.Valleyman - these work on the same idea, but have a nice message box on no command line!
Thanks Vijay, the cab responds with not a valid ce cab file. I am trying to install in on a XDAIIs with the latest Rom.
Thanks

Aye, though if you've got Pocket Plus you can create shortcuts to the .lnk and it does the same thing as your prog, but only with the inbuilt icons.
I've got about 15 of them as a separate tab of P+.

Ahh "-transport"....what a wonderfully logical name for it...
Bloody programmers, some give the rest of us a bad name!

pearler - I'm not sure if anyone else had a problem with the cabs, but I've linked directly the executables as well. You'll need a way to make shortcuts though - gsfinder is my weapon of choice.
Ant: yeah, "transport". Who'd a thunk it? [Programmers' joke ]

sms texting...

Hi all,
let me apologise for asking a simple question, but I cant get the search function to work in here tonight...
Ok to what I want, I've seen a piece of software for a standard mobile phone that allows users to text using the computer screen to type the message and then send using the phone....
Does anyone know if there's anything like that for our devices?
Thanks
PB
Jeyo mobile extender can do this.
A free option & more versatile method is "my mobiler" this will enable you to bring up your PPC screen onto your PC & control your pda with your PC mouse & keyboard.
I use this to send sms & mms while working from my desktop with my PPC connected via Active Sync, plus you can check incoming messages/calls ect without picking up your PDA.
My mobiler can be found here. http://www.pdamagician.com/software.html

Windows Mobile 6 pro SMS templates?

Hi guys,
I've just been given a Windows mobile 6 based PDA for work, which is replacing my old Nokia, but I can't for the life of me find a way to create an SMS template.
On the Nokia, I could create the template, and then call that up each time I needed it (saving me from having to type (sometimes) quite complex commands).
can anybody please tell me how to do this on windows Mobile?

Cheers for that, but I have actually found a way to do it.
Create a new message,
click on the message area,
Menu > My text > Edit my Text Messages
and that allows you to create a template message.
It's not perfect, but it seems to work.

Need SMS Program

Hello.
Can anyone tell me a good SMS manager software?
One that I can select messages from someone and move into a specific folder?
Or one that I can "backup" or save SMS to a single readable file that I can store and read in a computer?
Thanks in advanced!
Take a look at MyPhone. Sounds like just what you need.
I really don't understand the concept behind MyPhone. I'd like a software that I could store (in my computer, not in web) my sms. In order to read them in the computer...
I suggest Jeyo.
Easy and fast, it does everything, you'll love it.

Help with Pocket Outlook

Hy guys! hasty said, I need a way to determine what email message is currently opened in Pocket Outlook.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. Created a Managed Service (there's a library available online for this)
2. The Service is listening for when the user opens Pocket outlook (Messaging).
I can detect that an email message has been opened, no problem. But the thing is that i cannot find out which one
Does anybody know of a way to find out which message was opened in Pocket Outlook?
Any suggestions, or if you have any ideas i would greatly appreciate it!
Regards,
Gabic
Alright, just so you know, I've found a somewhat different approach to my problem.
Instead of listening all the time for a user to open up an email message, I instead place a new item in the context menu that is displayed for an email. I've found one good example for this in the Sample Code provided with the Windows Mobile 6 SDK (right under my nose), so just in case you need it, here's the location (name is self explanatory too)
\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\Samples\Common\CPP\Win32\InboxMenuExtensibility.
It's not managed code, but it will do the trick
Cheers everyone,
Gabic
