Flash ROM for Prophet

Hello people.
Yesterday i tried to upgrade my i-mate JAMin to WM6 but i couldn't do it.
anyway, because i couldn't upgrade it to WM6, after i upgrade to 2.40 WWE when i arrived at home i've tryed to upgrade to 2.13_Portuguese_ROM...
Here was when the problem started.
When updrade started, at 1% the problem ocurred... message ERROR.
From what i've read I need a flash ROM, I'm desperate...
Can any one help to find the flash ROM and how to recover my PPC?

you need No Vindor ID to install the ROM
please give your IPL SPL (G3 or G4), what error message?

Again, would people please read through the forum carefully before starting a new thread and ask the same questions over and over again. It is not that I am mean (just getting old), because any new thread will take time to read. Why not the person who need answer to read first and save other people's time. I found this forum contains so much information that most problems people generally ask are well covered one way or the other.

Thank you for you quick reply and support.
Starting to answering your questions:
- My i-mate is G3
-  ERROR [320~328] : INVALID COMMAND
These errors seldom occur. However, if one of these errors occur, it could not be recovered and the device had to be sent back to the customer service center. In this case, you have to flash a new ROM code.
About the ROM 2.40..., i'm confused and since i can't read my i-mate i don't know the correct version but it was downloaded here in this forum.

reinstall the 2.20.7.37 wwe using the NO VINDOR ID NVID
look for RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe you can find it here
then unlock CID see the WIKI how to
and then install any ROM you want

this not SPL problem

If he have SPL 3.08 -> CID Unlock doesnt work -> Device report wrong DeviceID and CID ^_^

As i said, my i-mate is biack to life.
I try to unlock CID, but the link ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Prophet/pdamobiz.com_downgrade_and_unlockcid.rar is not working.
Can any one put it on working?

Sorry for responding so late.
Right now my i-mate is Cid Unlocked and working with WM6 Prophet_4.0.0.0.3_PV just fine.
I´m Going to try and explore this (Beautifull) Rom and post my feedback.

As I said before, the feedback for this rom is just... GREAT.
Better than this only if it was in Portuguese (for me, off Corse), because in these rom theres no Portuguese GPRS configurations.

Latest rom for SDA?

what is the latest rom for teh sda/tornado/etc... my wm6 does not work too well and would want wm5 that is stable fast and can do anything... no need for mods to make it work right...

I disagree -- WM6 does work well on the SDA. Using "Karhoe's Step-by-step pictorial guide to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6" referenced in this thread, I was very successful upgrading my SDA from WM5 to WM6. I've got everything I've tried so far working so I'm a happy camper!!!

I agree, I also have an SDA, and while I've had to play around with a few things to get it just right, I'm in a nice happy place. If you want a rom that's got most of the knicks worked out, try the Perfect English Edition Rom here.

don't ever bother to upgrade because your device is a typhoon/feeler/amadeus variant which is running wm2003se. this ROM is for tornado variants only which is running wm5. however you can still upgrade it to wm5 or wm6. read here.

Perhaps most things work well, but there is a post by Karhoe about WiFi not working. I use WiFi more than anything else. I can tolerate some bugs, but any that causes problems with WiFi will probably cause me a lot of grief.
I will probably try WM6 soon anyway. Grief or not, I can't help but upgrade to the newest version of everything even if it causes more problems than it solves.

I have a locked tmobile mda... I forget what I need to do b4 I can flash a new rom... I think all I have to do is CID unlock it right? But I forget how. Any help would be great

Yes the fastest one way to figure this out again is to read the stickies labeled unlocking and UPGRADING. That is usually pretty helpful.

hi ive tryd to up to wm6 but no luck ive read all the info on how to doit downloaded loads of software still no good ive managed to put wizard love rom on it for now but cant get round the cid unlocking then how to up aput wm6 on
ive tryd it but dont want to kill the phone could some one make an ruu of wm6 then upload it or dont it work that way

Which is your device, a G3 or G4,how come we can tell,untill and unless you do not post the vital data of your phone,no one can suggest you any help without knowing the version of your phone.always post the data.

which DOC chip version you got,a G3 or G4 ? to verify post your IPL/SPL...? or download the WST Tool,install and run it and post the report to determine if it's a G3 or G4 device.You can download the WST tool here :-

If it's a G3,it's required to first CID unlock the device and than upgrade to wm6.

"Undo" HardSPL - Want to sell my Herald on ebay

Hello,
i plan to sell my German Herald on ebay and i´m not sure if i am allowed to do so because it is unlocked via HardSPL. I Want to sell it with HTC´s warranty if possible...
Is there a way to get this undone ?
....want to get a newer HTC device

I´ve found something for Kaiser and Wizard - But no original SPL for my Herald....
Did anybody even try to revert the Herald ?

from what i understand to undo hard spl you must uspl the original ruu...(nbh) with the original spl on it.

So i just need to flash the HTC Rom and thats it ?
I didn´t understand that in the Tutorial - Maybe i should just try that !

yes. use USPl- with official ruu_signed.nbh AND spl.nbh
that should do it

Flashing an AT&T tilt with an Official HTC Rom

Hello,
I have recently bought a AT&T Tilt, and would like to flash to the current Offcial HTC WM 6.1 ROM.
I have done alot of reading in the wiki here and various FAQ threads and what not. But i am still a bit confused with a few things.
I have read the ROM Flashing faq and Intro here:

But thats not hard.

I checked my device and the rom currently on it is the AT&T WM6.0 1.57.502.2 Original Shiped Rom.
I figured, being in Australia, i would need rom that had WWE as the country? So i downloaded the "RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_3.28.405.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship" rom. Is this an appropriete ROM for what i want?
BUT Its all this stuff about SPL's and what not that is confusing me.
My Tilt is SIM unlocked because i am using it on the Telstra network here in Australia. But im not sure if i have to change SPL's or not and if so, which spl i need and how to change it?
It would be greatly appreciated if someone was able to help me understand this SPL bussiness, because i really dont want to dive straight in a risk my device. I have done a fair bit of reading and i'm a fairly competent computer user so it won't take me long to learn.

you have to CID unlock it. this involves flashing the device with HardSPL then running a unlocker program. (this is what i know from Hermes, so i don't know if it is exactly the same on Tilt). It breaks the warranty though, so think first, then jump
by the way, you should try a cooked rom. in my experience, HTC roms are not that good, except for getting a stable radio. get the radio, then get a new OS rom, like hang.tuah or something.

Look for the Zip file at the very bottom of the screen this hard spl will let you flash any rom (follow the instructions the spl gives you exactly and dont get nervous if it appears stiuck for a bit), just make sure you know which ROM you really want to flash at the end

@eMiller12 (fellow noob): I don't know if I would bother with the HTC ROM, I just flashed it and I am finding a few really annoying bugs... Read Jocky's STICKY post about the HardSPLs to learn how to flash one. It really is quite simple--and it's unlikely that you're going to brick your device, so no worries.

I have read through the Wiki a fair bit, i was just unsure which versions of hardSPL etc where best for the [email protected] Tilt inparicular. But i will just use this one that vorostatz recomended if that is the best one for the tilt.

yeah, exactly... I was pretty scared to hardspl when I first started.
Hardspl 3.29 seems to be the best one, check my signature after you've read the hardspl sticky.
From what I understand, a rom flash might try to write a different spl which is obviously bad. hardspl prevents this.
If you ever need to, you can undo it. Kyphur explains in the hardspl sticky how to change them, by running a program named jumpspl 1.56 (on your device) with your sim and sd cards out and then flashing the spl normally.
Just make sure you follow directions for your device and try different roms.
Good luck and feel free to ask questions, even if some of the people here have heard them way too often.

Actually the WWE (World Wide English) one seems to be used more in Europe and this side of the world. For down-under, they use SEA South East Asia versions. There are issues with ROM compatibility in Australia specifically (at least in the WM 6.0 days) so if you want to know the best official WM 6.0 and 6.1 ROMs, short of searching for what setups Australian xda-dev forum members are using, you could look at the devices on sale in the shops. If you're wanting WM 6.1 just to have the latest and greatest, think again and have a look at the Windows Mobile 6 vs. Windows Mobile 6.1 thread.
***Edit*** Also note that there are two Australian specific ROMs in the WM 6.0 section of the Kaiser HTC ROM wiki
