Hi all,
Managed to install WM6 Underground edition last night, but came up with a snag. I want to change the 12-hour clock to 24-hours, but can't find any option to change this.
Thanx,
Nassor.
P.S. Underground edition rules!
I believe you need to go into the regional settings, under the time tab. Change the time style to HH:mm:ss instead of h:mm:ss. The capital H's make it 24 hour time from what I remember.

Thanks. Of coarse it would have been more logical to be able to set the time format where you set time and date. But this works too!
Didn't work for me. All I have listed is HH and H.
yeah it will. In the drop down, there is actually tiny scroll bar arrows. Click the little up arrow a few times and you'll find the lowercase h ones. Thank you Microsoft
Thanks. Don't know why I didn't try scrolling up.
nevermind...
Thanks!

Start/Settings/System tab/Regional settings/Time tab/Time Style
Select h:mm:ss (or hh:mm:ss iff you like the hour to be zero-padded). Mind you that you have to scroll up past the beginning of the selections...
But why? Like inches, psi, gallons and fluid ounces, the 12 hr. clock is just plain immoral and wrong.
Thanks it did change that clock but i also have the updated xda developers rom installed and it has a big 24 hour clock. Any clue on how to change that one.
(It's so hard for me to do the math in my head. 12+3=45 ......Right??)

Ah... No, no clue...
You could turn it off all together in the Today settings if it bugs you, I guess. (Check right there if the thing has any settings to twiddle. It's been a while since I had it on mine...)
Man i hate being this new to something. So how do i get to the today’s settings.
Thanks again for your assistance.
Ron a lost sole....
I'm sure many of you have seen and heard this question before, but I have searched all over and don't seem to be able to find:
1. Where to get the latest version of HTC Home. Evidently there are many versions. Being as I'm running WM6 on my mogul, I guess I'm looking for the latest compatible version. I have found JUVS_HTC_Home_Sprint_Plugin_v1_0_824711-0.cab and HTCHomePlugin.cab. I think the shorter filename is an earlier version, but I can't tell you why I think this. Maybe the context where I found it.
2. Instructions on how to install this stuff I have downloaded. What am I supposed to do with these .cab files?
Please excuse my ignorance and the redundancy of this question. I'm pretty new to all of this stuff.
thank you,
TC Harp
ok heres where i got mine i think http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-htc-home-plugin-v1-0.html
now go to start / my computer / open up your phone (should be at the bottom) and place the cab file in the "my documents" folder..run the cab file and once its finished restart your phone and should be working
Well, it seems to be working. The longer filename was a quick launch only. The other file is working better for me. Now if I can just find how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit on the weather.
Thank you,
TC Harp
after its setup go to the weather tab and click on your city , after that when it displays all the citys go to menu, weather options and switch it to fahrenheit

On the weather tab click on your city name. You will see the "Select City" page. Click "menu" on the bottom right. Click "Weather Options". Click Temperature scale: Fahrenheit. Click done at the bottom of the screen.

Everything is working great. Thanks everyone. Now I'm trying to figure out how to change the quick lunch buttons. This version of HTC Home is suppose to allow for that.
Edit: I have found HHC ver. .08 that performs many functions for me. This one is gonna take a minute to learn.
Thanks,
TC Harp
I'm currently using Brain's TaskBar edition v5a. Is there a way to display the time in the taskbar or do I need a different program?
Thanks.
depending on what version of WinMo you're running, gives you different options. The COM versions that have the start at the bottom let you have both time and battery. The other versions let you have one or the other and you can switch by going to Settings>Clocks and Alarms>More>Display the clock on the title bar in all programs (though there is a cab that will let you display both in the same amount of space, though this makes it very small).

I'm using WM 6.5 because my start button is located on the top left corner.
I got the time to show by following your instruction. But my battery meter was replace by the time display. How do I fix that?

Well that's exactly what I said would happen.
As I said before, I do believe there's a cab out there that will fit both time and battery in the same space, but it will be small. Just do a search.

Thanks for pointing in the right direction. I installed BattClock, it doesn't work perfectly well with the taskbar I'm using. But it gets the job done
Heya!
I've been looking to change my start menu background for a whole evening now, but I can't figure out how I can do it. It has given me a headache already.
Can somebody put me on my way? How can i hardcode the startmenu wallpaper? Or is it just impossible?
Greets.

You can change the start menu wall paper by going to settings...today and at the bottom of the appearance page you will see a box that states "Use this picture as the background" put a check in the box and choose your pic from the list
Setting, Personalize, Lockscreenwallpaper
Yeah, but then it changes my lockscreen wallpaper aswell, no? Figured out a way by editing a .cpr file though.. Thanks for your replies!
Ah ok. Sorry, didnt think about the possibility that you might use the Original WM-Lockscreen. Never mind

well even if you use the sense lockscreen, the start wallpaper is the same as the lock wallpaper.
@OP, can you specify exactly how you did it? I would very much like to know!
HI rather than a single wallpaer scheme look at Antworks auto wall paper changer, allows you to automatically change the wallpaper at defined intervals , 30 min 1 hour etc. Also works with S2u2.

Mine is currently in a row of 3 . . .the right and left one's on the same level and centre just below. .

He's not asking for 4 row hexagon, he wants the icons all aligned in a standard x,y axis grid. Basically, no, this cannot be done. You can alter the size of the icons/text, and the number of columns, but not the 'hexagon' effect, except;
There is one setup that lists all of your start menu icons in a single vertical list, similar to how your contacts are listed. I don't have a link to that .cab, but if you have a quick search on here and/or google I'm sure you'll find it.
That list view is called AwesomeStart. Because it's, y'know, awesome.
Edit: Here, turns out I still had it in the Cabs folder on my SD card.
