Stupid question number 999.
I have a cingular 8525 and my previous phone was the Siemens SX-66. If I put the card back into the 66 will I then be able to make and receive calls on it?
Will they know I swapped it?
Will they care so long as I don't have the 8525 activated?
Sorry if these questions have already been answered somewhere but this site has a LOT of info on it and I have been reading for several days now.
To add more info on why I ask. I would like to be able to use my SX-66 while I mess with the 8525 so I don't miss calls. If there is a better way then please let me know.
TIA
Just set the phone to factory rest and switch the sims.:good:

Basically the problem is my Vario III doesn't see certain Sim cards but works fine with others. I thought I successfully unlocked my device but this issue really pisses me off!
Anyone any ideas???
PS: sorry if already discussed this, but me couldn't find nothing..
Closing this Redundant Thread...
There is already a thread for the Kaiser SIM Unlocker, go there with this issue (I'm assuming that's what you used as you've given no real info).
Also, you really need to provide more info (as much as possible). I'd start with what Rom your running and maybe think about listing what SIMs worked & what SIMs didn't work. Take notice of things like age of the SIM card.
I'm new here and I'm hoping someone will be able to shed some light to my question. I have sidekick Lx at the moment, and I've been looking for a way to use my sidekick data plan to work on my unlocked Htc P4351? I've searched for a lotta hours and i can't seem to get any answers. If there are anyone here who could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate that. I didn't want to have to change my sidekick data plan because I'm only paying $19.99/mo.
how do you expect to use a phone's dataplan with another phone? you wanna switch the sim cards? if so, and if the P4351 is unlocked, it shouldn't be a problem to just switch sim cards and have it work.
Yes, i want to switch the sim card from the sidekick and put it on the p4351 and be able to go on the net. I have tried to mess around with the settings, i found on the tmobile website but nothing seems to work, unless i'm doing something wrong.
I posted this elsewhere, but I thought I'd come looking for help in a forum where I might have a few friends...

Hey guys. This is a last attempt at fixing this very annoying problem. All the searches I have done don't seem to leave anywhere. So here's the situation:
I bought a Chinese clone phone (Sunno HDi - clone of HTC T8282). The phone comes with WM6.5 [5.2.23037 (build 23037.5.3.0)]. Overall the phone works great, and I have done a couple of YouTube videos on it.
But anyway - the really annoying problem is that from day 1 the phone has always shown that I'm roaming. I always get the little roaming triangle, which in turn makes several applications complain about roaming charges, blah blah blah. From my understanding, roaming is a feature of what's stored on the SIM card, and the info being pulled in from the tower. I have my T-Mobile SIM card in the phone, and I put up all T-Mobile networks I could find on the top of my preferred network list. What am I missing?
*Any* help will be greatly appreciated!
What you have missed?
I dunno, perhaps the common sense not to buy cheap crap?
Sorry, I know my answer doesn't get you anywhere either...
Looking to sell my TP2 on boost currently. What will the person buying the phone have to do to get it working on their account? I know I'd turn my phone off for starters. Do they just give boost the ESN that was programmed to it and edit the MSID and such in the EPST? Or am I missing something?
Nobody have any ideas at all?
I got my answer from the guys over at PPC. Might as well just stay over there! You guys are no help at all.
I would only assume that since the Dec is already entered into the system, even if the phone's service was turned off you wouldn't have much of a problem, but you never know what your going to run into. I've had to switch back and forth between my TP2 and an old moto krzr, but that was from within my already existing account. If you find out the correct answer I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Thanks.
I was a Straight Talk customer for several months until my Nokia E71 was permanently deactivated for "excessive data usage" on their unlimited plan. What I'm left with now is a $200 Blackberry-like PDA with no actual phone capabilities. It amazes me that they can legally cripple my phone this way.
My understanding of it is that the phone now has what basically amounts to the GSM eqivalent of a bad ESN. Anyone happen to know any way to turn this back into a viable phone again? This particular phone uses a SIM card and apparently runs on the AT&T network so I'm hoping there's some way to unlock it to work with AT&T or T-Mo.
Most, if not AT&T phones will use the ST sim without unlocking it...its like using a Simple Mobile sim on a T-Mobile phone. Usually you can just put it in, change your APN's and you're good to go. With ST though, I believe they tie your SIM card with your e71 since they know people just really want the sim card and plans and not their phones. If you're e71 is blocked, I don't think you can unblock it. Or maybe you can call in and say "hey, I bought this phone of craigslist" and if they mention its on a blocked list just play dumb and that you had no idea...mind you you have to pretend like you're a different customer, maybe put the account in someone elses name?

actually see if your SIM card has been deactivated, if not then you can just put it in an AT&T phone and you should be good...if it has then yeah, I would just say I got this phone from someone on craigslist and I want to activate it. They should unblock it if its for a new customer...hopefully.
I've tried putting the ST SIM in an unlocked T-Mo phone to no avail. After ST deactivated me, I did a ****load of Google-ing and I'm pretty sure people have tried your Craigslist method with no luck. I've read hints that it "might" be possible to de-brand it, but that it'd be a pretty advanced operation. I just figured that if anyone could actually pull it off, XDA would be the most likely place to find them.
I'm pretty sure I used the craigslist method and it worked for me, but I can't remember for sure. I bought a broken e71 off of ebay and just registered that IMEI number, mind you I can't remember if the IMEI was blocked or not so maybe thats why I didn't have any problems. And even if other people tried with no avail you should try regardless, who knows, maybe it will work with you.
