no the answer is yes there are more then one db program for pocket pc which works with the format that mdb's turn into when synced with pocket pcs

I have a carputer in my car with a 10 inch touchscreen and a lot of other stuff. Amongst that stuff is a USB Bluetooth dongle. I would like to be able to dial numbers, browse my contacts and answer calls with the PC instead of the much smaller Atom phone screen. Does anybody know about software that does this?

Hi Mastif,
You may find that Soti Pocket Controller Professional works over BT
for you. It throws up the screen of your pda onto your PC screen (so OI don't see why you couldn't try it on ur carputer). the image can be zoomed and all feature of your pda accessed via the PC screen (or in ur case carputer touch screen). Let me know if it works/ helps.

Hi, Any one know how to sync CECT T689 with a PC? I got a software called PC Sync Manager, but when i connect, the phone says connected and the pc software says not connected! Any clue? Thanks in advance.

CECT T689 run a chip set call M6218 by MediaTek Inc (http://www.mtk.com.tw/) for this you need 2 things, one is the 6218 Modem Driver (COM Port) then the PC synchronization software.
you can only add one number to a name with this system, do not take full details off your PC address book. and there are many more... but this is better then nothing right ?
FYI both softwares are from MediaTek, i have uploaded them both here.

Guys. As far as I can tell this thing isn't even a Windows Mobile device and if I'm not mistaken this forum is for Smartphone platform device discussion. Does this thing even run a Windows CE OS? Is it even very much of a "smart phone"? I'm not sure this topic is appropriate in this section of the forum. Try the general discussion board next time, maybe... Not sure, though. If this forum is also for "smart phones" as a generic term for PDA phones and feature phones with some PDA features, its a bit misleading to for a capital 'S' to be in the word Smartphone when that is how MS also spells the name of their Windows CE platform release, Smartphone... I doubt that is the case, though. ;-)

hi there i have a gaoxinqi CECT T689 Dual SIM Phone and i i have a problem with it , when i turn off my phone then it wont turn on..... i press and hold the on/off button but it wont turn on i have to leave it for several days without trying to turn it on (sometimes more than a week) then it turns on i wanted to restore it to factory settings but it asks for a password.
anyone has an idea how to fix this problem or at least the password (of course if all these phones have the same password for factory settings reset

A big problem

I have a cect 689 and i`ve got a big problem with him.
I have enter the password for restore the factory settings(1122)then the phone was restarted and a white screen with tranditional chinese language appears . After that i can`t do anything else to the phone...
What i can do ?

I have bought a new Imate Ultimate 6150, upgraded ROM to WM 6.1 pro.
Wants to put HTC Style TouchFlo Today screen, Where can I download this for free.
Someone pls help me, I saw lot of threads here saying Manilla, TouchFlo 2D, 3D, but are these only for HTC brand of Devices only?
I downloaded a ROM in a file called TF3d_wwe_ByUtopykzebulon.rar which contained an EXE when running it tries to update the ROM, the device which is active sync connected, gets disconnected, lights off, PC says USB device not recognised, then update fails saying connection lost.
Pls Plssssssssssss someone put some light and answer me

don't try and flash those roms to your device, you'll brick it as they're not designed for your hardware.
I don't know if touchflo has been ported to your device but there are a couple of alternatives out there that will work that are finger friendly.
Upon searching on this forum have found people using TouchFlo in Ultimate 9150 or so, is this possible?
Can someone explain, is this touchflo a special hardware based functionality only put in HTC pdas but not in others. I am using Pocket CM contacts prog which gives the touchflo features. So then even ultimate also can support the flo features.

So i found my old T-mobile SDA today and I am trying to use it with my pc I currently have the prog MyMobiler, its nice but kind of limited. I want to be able to use all my phones functions straight from my desktop. I want to use it as a sort of bluetooth/Wi-Fi adapter and extra screen maybe. Any input wil be appreciated.
I have a touchscreen w. querty phone (iPAQ hw6515) that I have been hoping to use as a touchpad & keyboard for my media center via bluetooth.
Found no software to date to do that on WM2003SE.
Sad to throw away a perfectly good phone.
