xda3nbftool -x NK.nbf NK.nba 0x20040521
xda3nbftool -x ms_.nbf ms_.nba 0x20040522
xda3nbftool -x Radio_.nbf Radio_.nba 0x20040522
and u will encrypt those files the u may do the second steps (convert to other provider)......
its worked for me, after i encrypt the rom files to nba i opend it with WinHex and the header apper with Magician info like rom version and the provider
laters 8)
So can we make our extended ROM with the latest files by selecting the newest of all available extended ROM's and also add the CAB files of our desire and make the ultimate extended ROM for our Magicians????
Ok! I tried it with Rom editor? With xda3nbf tool it gives ..this is not normal header password not accepted contact your vendor… strange? After that I tried to change devicedata.txt to imate proprieties, make it red only and put in windows directory of my Compact. It starts working. Himaupdate says that my device will be updated, after compact goes to USB serial screen, and finally Himaupdate says that I have different device model and all stops! I write this just as my experience only. If passwords given in this site are correct, why I can not open Rom with editor to modify extended rom?
Hi,
I think the password is incorrect, because when I try to decrypt the roms (O2Asia) with the nbf tool, it has a warning message "WARNING: this does not look like a nbf header, possible you provided the wrong password".
Any one can give me the password? Thanks
Any guys here in Pinas know where to buy the crystal case or clear case here in metro manila? Not the hard case wich is the metal like but i need the crystal/clear case. Thanks!

Hi! If you can spare the time try visiting Digital Walker (or something like that) in Park Square I, Makati. The store would be along one of hallways leading to/ from Hotel Nikko/ Dusit Hotel. I'm not aware of their store hours, but given that they operate in the mall, they might be following mall operating hours. If I understand what you are looking for correctly, this would be one of your best bets (place to visit that stocks this item).
You could also try visiting Xsite Mobile in Megamall (Pasig). This would be in the basement level of SM Mega Mall Bldg. A (I think), I could be wrong. Might be in Bldg. B, either way you could try checking the store directory/ lay-out plan or asking a security guard.
Good luck!
Any chance you know of any store selling the O2 original folding keyboard for the Xda II?
Cheers!
building B megamall
I saw one yesterday in SM Megamall Building B, im quite not sure if it is 3rd or 4th floor....basta dun sa computer center ng SM.
yeah, same here, saw one at cyberzone megamall b.. it's at the fourth floor.. let's say you came from mega a, then entered cyberzone thru the place where they're selling cute kiddie interior design thingies.. basta it's the shop nearest to the edsa side..
Xda II Keyboard & Inquiry
Thanks for the information! By the way, this is something I posted recently but I've received no responses yet. Maybe you folks can point a way through.
"Please help! Being an avid user (I really enjoy the old system environment I was using), but not that much of a "techie". I've managed to create for myself an interesting problem/ concern. I followed a link here in xda-developers and I foolishly tried upgrading my system through the following: Himalaya_WM2003SE_Upgrade and HIMA_WM_2K3_EXTROM. I need to and want to restore back to my old system. Please help me!!!
Note: Not being a consumate techie, but a user, I may have overlooked a something below... But I desperately need to restore.
"I obtained (with many thanks to fychan) a memory image of an English version of WM2003 SE which is an earlier version than the recent Chinese release, but it is genuine English. I managed to create an installable NK.nbf file from this. Also, mamaich has provided the version 1.18 Radio upgrade included here. Many thanks to mamaich for that and also for some advice when I was building the OS nbf file. Also, mamaich has provided some CAB files for Extended ROM which I have also attached here separately.
Attached is an upgrade for Himalaya devices to WM2003 SE WWE, Radio 1.18. Unzip the attachment into a folder of your choice. The nbf files are configured for operator ID O2 and language ID WWE. If you need to change these, carry out all the steps below. If they are OK for you, go straight to step 5.
1. Extract the decrypted versions of the nbf files by entering the following commands at the command prompt:
Code:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf NK.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nbf Radio_.nba 0x20040306
2.
3. Modify the operator ID in the nbfs to the value you require by entering the following commands at the command prompt substituting <operator> with the required value:
Code:
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so <operator> -sl WWE NK.nba
xda2nbftool -sd PH10 -so <operator> -sl WWE Radio_.nba
4.
5. Update the crc values for each of the decrypted files by entering the following commands at the command prompt:
Code:
xda2nbftool -c -u NK.nba
xda2nbftool -c -u Radio_.nba
6.
7. Encrypt the files back into the nbf files by entering the following commands at the command prompt:
Code:
xda2nbftool -x NK.nba NK.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nba Radio_.nbf 0x20040306
8.
9. Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub and that the power supply is connected to the cradle. It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers.
10. Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe
11. Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading radio stack, please wait', but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.
Notes:
a. I have installed this upgrade on my XDA II without any problems, and have also been able to revert back to the 1.72 ROM I had installed previously. I have bootloader v1.01, and I don't know whether it would be any different for later versions of bootloader.
b. After upgrading, a hard reset takes places and the Extended ROM is installed. I found that several applications caused a 'Application may not display properly.....' message box to appear which required tapping to dismiss. Therefore, you will need to make sure that TPDisable.exe is not run in the Config.txt script in the Extended ROM, otherwise you will not be able to respond to the messages.
Edit: I've created a .BAT file which can be run from a DOS prompt to replace steps 1-4...
Usage: OperatorUpdate operatorID
where operatorID is O2 or CDL or TMOBILE, etc.
Just unzip the attached zip file.

Attached is a GUID generator you can use to generate the GUID numbers to build your OEM packages.
It also generates the contents of option.xml for the Faria-kitchen users (and other kitchens that uses this file)
Generate, select output, copy to desired file.
Thank you very much!
Thanks to POF and all his good men we have now finally got hardspl and super cid available for our kaisers now.
The next step is to start building cooked roms which will be available soon as soon as we find a way around the some tools which aren't compatable with the kaiser.
I have managed to dump and start re-building the rom but stuck at second process of the ImgFS Tools Version
This is what I have encountered so far.
1. Dump rom is ok
2. ImgfsFromDump imgfs.bin imgfs-new.bin ok
3. ImgfsToNb imgfs-new.bin os.nb.payload os-new.nb.payload came with error msflsh50 headernot found. exiting. If i can bypass this then the next step will be merging the os.nb which i think possibility it might work and might not work.
Hope all the senior pros out there could give us a hand in this
@POF dONATIONS WILL BE SENT TO YOU TODAY
I'm not sure what that error is but even when you try to dump the xip from the os.nb process went ok but actually no files are dumped.
If anyone has dumped the rom and xip using pofs recommendation here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334680 can you please upload, as I am getting errors on my vista machine

I can upload the dumped mine, but is spanish one....
Do you want it?
One question, what imgfs tools are you using? (give me a link, please, i'm trying to dump part03 dumped, but gives me a " Unable to load compression dll" error, and i have all files from mamaich's ZIP in the same folder...)
EDIT: The Imgfs partition is Part02, not Part03 (i don't know what is), so you must use ImgfsToDump with Part02.raw to get dumped the Imgfs.
same tools

hi mate can you be more specific, killing myself here to find a way to re-compile the rom
Its my birthday today and the wife has the whole day planned out for me! Figures the day after HardSPL comes out so I am not going to be much help to you guys today sorry to say. I'll be back in about 3 hours and then have about 2 to spend helping out with the dumping and cooking methods. Also Dutty you should have your computer dual boot with XP and Vista i have found its the only way really to cook fast and right. I have a Vista Key that works on any vista be it basic, prem... or ultimate. Just make sure you install XP first on a seperate partition since XP always loads on the first partition then load Vista.
Here this will help you a bunch!!!

AND THIS
3) Download rdmsflsh.pl script
4) Extract the contents of imgfs by running these commands making sure that the raw file and script are in the same directory:
(Windows users should run the commands from Windows Command Prompt)
c:\dump> mkdir files
c:\dump> perl rdmsflsh.pl -d files Part02.raw

thats was the easiest way to dump the rom but when I try to compile it keep getting the same error i mentioned in my first post
As I had to do this today, maybe someone will find it usefull.
Instructions are for Linux.
Download http://code.google.com/p/htc-flasher/
to unpack nbh.
Install (with dpkg for debian based systems, or just build from source).
Than run
1. yang -X rom.nbh
Than, download this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298327
You will need wine, or windows machine (wine works perfectly with this program).
2. wine NBSplit.exe -kaiser 05_LinuxSystem_0xb02.nb
3. wine ImgfsFromNb.exe 05_LinuxSystem_0xb02.nb.payload 05_LinuxSystem_0xb02.nb
Of course, you can follow steps 2 and 3 for other partitions than system.
And than unyaffs .bin file.
Voila!
1. yang -X rom.nbh
This tells me that my nbh is not valid, I have tried with several, any ideas or alternatives?
