Hi,
i've been upgraded my Magician Firmware first with this ROM:
JAM_WWE_11200_128_11210_ship.exe
and in second time with this:
JAM_ITA_11204_154_11210_ship.exe
In both cases i've the following problem:
Seems that device is always in charge mode (with cardle detached also). The Front LED is always powered on (orange or green depend on battery status) and it shutdown LCD after the time specified in Backlight Settings/External Power.
I'm very confused, i've been crawled very hard on google but i haven't found a solution about this.
Please Help.
p.s.: sorry for my bad english!!!
Parantido
Has this been happening before the ROM update? Because it smells like a hardware issue, though it could be trouble with the registry settings in those ROMs (though I never heard of any reports of those ROMs doing anything weird).
Same problem when I dropped my o2 mini (with tmobile rom) , earphone of device became on /off since then and initially front led was always on . whenever earphone gets no sound again I just press a little not too hard (with the toothprick or similiar thin thing or very thing screw driver ) the SD card socket from inside towards outside (where we hear the calls from ) and while doing that I see the changing colours of front led like red , orange blue green . earphone sound gets back for 2-3 days and sometime light stays at green( if I don't check ) while charging . so I have to tab it again from inside to get it right again .Light contacts are near sd card socket as call speaker contacts .it gets mixed up after some drops or shocks . I'm no expert but that's what I'm experiencing and getting along these days .

You might have bent the contacts of the earpiece when you dropped the phone, hence the intermittent problems with the earpiece AND the LED (the LED is contained within the speaker module). Having opened my Magician before, I can tell you that this is more than possible, as the contacts that link the earpiece to the main board in the Magician are VERY thin and fragile, hence any bad shocks to the case may bend, or even snap the contacts.
In this case you will probably have to open the Magician to bend these contacts back into place - this will probably fix both your earpiece problems and your LED problems. Look here for more information, and a VERY good and detailed guide on doing this procedure:

problem solved with a piece of card
hi all,
my problem was:
led not worknig at all and no speaker working even changing it.
cause:
daugther board (that is on card reader) was a bit desoldered from mother board, look at the black connector on left (looking from the back). daughter board is glued on card reader.no human solder possible.
solution:
disassemble magician and put a piece of card (less than 1/2 mm) on the plastic cover, near the left of the speacker corresponding to the black daugther board connector.
it works great!
regards.

Hallo,
I upgraded my MDA to version 1.12 from Qtek, all works well, but I don't hear the person I call or answer. If I hold the phone (green) button for 2 seconds it switches to the backspeaker and than I can hear the person talk.
Does anybody know how to fix this !!! Help
Try inserting a headphone plug and remove it, this will prolly fix your issue.
can you tell me how to upgrade ?
I already download the mkBigStorage112.nb1 file

No, I plugged in a headphone and pulled out, but still no sound from the front speaker. Rearspeaker and BT headphone works well.
Anybody?
I noticed that the front speaker works when I have no sd card inserted, when I insert the memorycard again I have no sound from the front speaker.
Well by testing if its a software problem or mechanical it looks like it is mechanical, but is it?
Strange ??? Anybody
You would need to do a hard reset and see if the problem persists with no additional programs installed. Backup first though.
Yes, I did all I can do, but the problem is still there. I guess that the SD slot makes conntection with the microfoon or the front unit.
Oke, I screwd my MDA open and I looked how I had to put it back to gether again. When I opend it, I swa that this was not a brtand new MDA but I guess it has been repaired a few times, because I found pices of the seal every where. When I opend the back unit from the front unit my frontspeaker just fell out. So I guess that they forgett to screw this tinny PCB on. After I put it all together again, he works fine. The sound is now comming from the front speaker with or without the SD card inside.
Oke, for all of you don't do this at home unless you are prepared to buy a new one.
colderon,
I also am having the same problem and think it could be a "loose wire" or cruddy slip in the manufacturing. I will attempt the same. Was it just the two screws on the back at the bottom to start, then as it comes apart more of them. Thanks for your help!
Todd
Yes, their are two screws on the back pcb. Then their is a small sqaure connector at one site this one can be taken off, no the large connector with their cellotape. Oke now comes the tricky part, their is an other mall pcb, about 2 cm by 1/2 cm. This one has also an connector, but the small pcb/unit is glued to the SD card holder with dubble sided tape. You have to be very carefull an try first getting something between this small pcb and the sd card holder. If you pull the back pcb from the front pcb the connector will brake off and you have to buy an new small pcb. This small pcb is the unit that connects the front speaker and contains the signal leds (poweled, Bluetooth).
If have no clue what this small unit will cost me, but my is also broken. Somehow it works, but the signal leds don't lite.
Ik hope this will help you
I'm in the states and had the same problem, I ended up taking it apart myself and finding 2 things, 1 the speaker was bad, this is the same speaker as the n-gage or nokia 6610 either is available on e-bay. the other was the actual board that carries the audio has a plug on one end and the plug had a lousy solder job, for this you will have to find a local electronics repair shop, and hope they can solder as well as the guy here, since it all is surface mount technology. over all the soldering cost me $20 and the speaker cost me $10
Same problem, no sound this morning.
I remove the SD card, sound came back.
I put the Sd, sound still there.
But when I change the volume, no more sound...
What a #~{#[# bug
I tried to open my Jam 2 times and I quit... I'm afreaid to broke something... Where are the old times that everything had a screw and was so easy to unassemble???
Hi all,
As i started servicing all pdas for a couple of monthes (only as a hobby, i fix them for friends and relatives), i came across one BA that gave me some trouble.
i got it to replace its LCD that was broken as it was dropped and thats very simple to replace it, so far so good. now it has two main problems :
1. no sound from speaker (even when in speakerphone mode), but there is sound in the stereo earphones (i plugged to the connector by the sd card slot). - i can only assume that a bluetooth handsfree device it will also work.
2. although the backup battery is fully charged, if i remove the main battery even for a brief second, when turned on, the BA acts as if i made a hard reset.
as for solving the problems :
1. using a digital multimeter, i managed to track the conductivity from the internal speaker through its connector, flat ribbon to the connector which connects to the main pcb - so there is no contact problem from the speaker to the main pcb.
using the help from WIKI, i went to site that has the list of all components and their description - the IC that is responsible for audio amp is a MAXIM's MAX4410 which is a stereo headphone driver. a quick look at its charasteristics and typical configuration and i understood that (assuming this is the IC that drives the internal speaker) the speaker should have one pin which is ground and the other goes to the amplified signal from the IC. neither one of the pins showed it has GND to it. so maybe there is a bad GND line to the connector.
2. regarding the backup battery issue i do not know what makes this problem.
I am sharing this info with you all with two ideas in mind :
1. to resolve my problem and know those devices hardware better.
2. because i am quite a while watching xda-developers and WIKI and i got the feeling that a lot of eforth is given to the software side of all those pdas (which is greate!!! keep going, this work helps lots of people and it shows al thos mega corps they are not the only ones), but the hardware is a bit forgotten and left behind. let me tell you this, there are many VERY simple mini projects i made useing electronics (i am an electronics engineer in my profession) that made my life easy . i am now investigating those instruments hardware as i have several ideas to develope useful accessories to my pda (like an external IR transciver to control IR devices like TV,DVD and to communicate with my laptop, and some other ideas) and i believe we can do the same info sharing as done on software side but on the hardware side.
I will thank any ideas, thoghts or commentsabout this matter. Yol.
Great job Yol!
I once read somewhere here that the problem with the speaker had something to do with the headset jack. Since you mentioned that the BA was dropped and that it still is experiencing battery and other problems, then most probably the motherboard is damaged.
In any case, keep up the good work!
hints....
Thanks zerimar, i also had this cross my mind i will check this speaker issue.
it is right that usualy, headphones jacks have a switch in them which connect/disconnect a main speaker from the system.
regarding the backup battery, i noticed an interesting thing - if i leave the main battery connected untill it is fully discharged, the backup battery stays fully charged and does not discharg !! it leads me to think that the backup battery is connected with two sets of transistors - one charges it and the other is responsible of supplying it power to the system - may be the second set is damaged and thus do not back up the instrument.
That's the same thing with the Magicians (at least with mine). As soon as the main battery is taken out, the backup battery discharges very fast.
There was a thread about this long time ago. I'll try to search when I have the time, coz if I remember there was some workaround.
I dont know what happend suddenly the speaker phone stopped working when I Was on speaker phone mode. I restarted the phone and tried all different kinds of ****. Finally I popped open the back camera cover and I could see the speaker. I was playing something on my Windows media and I could not hear anything. The moment I touuched the speaker with the stylus it started playing loudly but the moment I pull the stylus back it stops working. Can some one please explain me what is the problem with my speakers. Do I need to replace them ? if yes then where can I get them replaced in United states.
Yes mate, I had the same problem. I have a HTC Charmer and my speaker died while using tomtom. I openned and discovered the same thing, that touching the speaker causes it to respond again and dies again. Its basically the speaker "moved" too much for its own good and the wire carrying signal to its coil got damaged/broken.
While you could temporarily fix it by trying to glue the broken wire, it may not do any good. And can't solder it as the wire is stuck on the speaker cone surface which is plastic. For a few days mine worked by placing a flexible peice of plastic in such a way that it constantly applied very light pressure on the place where the wire was broken, and the contact was maintained, but obviously such a solution is short lived.
At present I am also looking for where to buy a spare speaker from, but can't help you in this regard as am in UK.
Hope this helps in some way.
Happened to my Prophet. It's currently away for a warranty repair.
Seems like a very common problem.
Ok.. i see many people on this forum asking questions about this device.. the truth is this device is designed very poorly and it even may arive at your hands defective / with some or with a lots of problems.. you can proceed by your very own responsibility. Take a look in the picture for pcb details
- to Fix about every problem you need to findout how to unscrew the back plastic case and be able to see its PCB (Printent circuit Board) - Its pretty easy, just remove the little screws and give a presure at the clips of the cover to be removed, don't use metal objects because you will scratch the plastic.
* WIFI / GPS very low signal
Let me begin with one problem that you have FOR SURE.. is the low wifi signal and gps.. this is due to a horible design of the antenna.. the antenna is not just horrible, but it is also causing a short circuit it self! which is the main reason why the signal is low. First you have to stop the short circuit from happning
How to fix it? Unscrew the back cover, at the top of the back cover under the flash you will see a white sticker, this is the antenna, you have to remove completely this white sticker because it can't be useful by any way. Remove every piece of it including the copper-yellow color from the inside (the place that makes the connection.
Now find a UTP cable and take a piece of a hard copper of it, remove the plastic and keep the copper wire clear, cut it and place it in the whole were previewsly was the white sticker.. you have to place it in this way so it can connect with the inside conntact with the back plastic is placed and screwed again on the phone.. there are 2 pins in that place.. the old antenna used both of this pins (that was causing short circuit) you have to use the left pin and leave the right pin completely empty.. so the right pin doesn't connect anywere, and the left pin is connected to your piece of copper wire.
Cut the copper at the same size of the top of your phone.. so you can place it horizontal ... but you can also try vertical, (use wifi analyze app from play store to see what fits better for you)
Now.. this is the same antenna for gps.. you have nothing else to do.. just install GPS Test app and go outside and test your gps..
This is what i did and im pretty happy with it, instead i used 2 pices of copper and i covered the whole top place of my phone under the camera.. but that doesn't mean is the most right way because when we dealing with antennas there are a lot of math / and calculations that have to be done to design a perfect antenna.
the wire gives really a great signal.. just in case you want to reach the extreme.. Instead of copper wire you can use thin-Copper paper. (don't use foil of aluminium is not good) and design a better antenna copying the design of an antenna from another phone (that you know it works)
* Camera autofocus doesn't work - Or camera doesn't work at all
[Don't unscrew] Frist thing you should try is remove the back cover and give a presure in the right side of your camera with your finger.. this is the place the connector is located.. and it may gets unclipped and loose the connection after a small drop or something. After that Reboot the phone.
[unscrew back] If this presure on the right doesn't fix it, then you have to unscrew the phone.. take off the camera and give it some small hits and punches.. place back the camera and see if it works.. this is due the autofocus motor got stuck.
* Mic, Speaker, USB doesn't work
[Don't unscrew] This is due the connector of the bottom part got lost its connection. remove the back cover and give presure under the place of the SIM cards, were it writes 'WCDM' and 'GSP'. press a bit those spots. reboot, if not fixed:
[unscrew back] The two bottom connectors is 1. for the touchscreen and 2 for the bottom parts.. you need to check both of those because i am not sure which is which.
* SIM1, SIM2, Microsd not working
[Don't unscrew] Try to give some press next to vol+ / vol- buttons
[unscrew back] On the top left of the PCB there are located 2 connectors, 1 is for the front camera, and 2 is for the SIM/SD parts.. the last connector to the side of vol buttons is the connector you have to check and press to make sure is connected ok.
* Touchscreen doesn't work
[Don't unscrew] Give presure right under the headphones jack
[unscrew back] This is were it is located.
Charging Problem
I would like to add the problem with charging the batteries.
I got a new H9500, with two batteries. When i try to charge it with the adapter that came with it, the phone shows the charging animation, but it never actually charges the phone.
I have the same behaviour on both batteries.
After searching for a solution i found these:
-The charger supplied is 5V, 0.5A. Some people used a 1A charger and got to the point that it actually started to charge
-ROM problem, by changing the ROM some people were able to fix the problem, since the software was not getting correct info out of the battery's third pin.
Well none of the above worked for me. I hope someone comes up with an altarnate solution.
I need a new usb pcb for my feiteng H9500 (the usb port is broken on it)

Hello guys...
My story. Bought this phone for my son for 160 €. We found out that camera focus didn't work, so I took it apart.
The easiest way to take down plastic cover, after it was unscrewed, is to put something plastic under it in the place between both SIM cards places, and work around inner battery square.
When cover was off, I found out that camera plug (right of camera) wasn't even plugged in. It only laid on connector. Plugged it in, and shake camera a little and auto focus came alive.
After that I noticed that black cable between gsm antenna and PCB was very loose, so I had to sort this out
At the end I found out that speaker connections are very delicate and had to take plastic down again to properly connect speaker.
Now it is obvious to me, why these Chinese phones are so cheap. We have saying in our country: pay little, get little
But now everything is cool and my son is happy.... And I am happy
Hi.
I just got a Feiteng H9500. The problem is that the camera is not working and the camera application hangs then stop responding then quit. When I start the camera nothing apears on display. I've put some pressure then some hits and it started to work a while. The focus worked as well but It seems to me not to work excellent so I gave it more hits, then the camera stopped working again. I have disassembly it, i moved a bit the camera and removed and put back the connector and it came alive again for a while, but just the front camera. Then stopped again. I have noticed that the camera doesn't move up and down when I press on it, it is stopped down, if I lift it with a needle it goes up, so it's not stucked.I can't even comute between cameras because the aplication hangs then quit. ( Everything else works.
any help? Thanks.
Hi Guys,
Just ordered the HTM H9500, is it exactly the same Phone as the Feiteng H9500?
I mean can I use ROMs for the Feiteng H9500 to flash them on the HTM H9500?
Big Thanx

My phone is Feiteng H9500 (HTM).
Appearance is similar FEITENG h9500, but not identical.
I'm not sure that have the same Rom, so I did not dare to flash a custom ROM.
View here:
http://www.movilesdualsim.com/forums/feiteng-h9500.166/
I cannot read Spanish or whatever it may be
There is a ROM at needrom called something like this "feiteng / htm h9500".
That sounds like the device is the same...

Thanks to your photo guide, I found courage and disassembled my HTM H9500 and DG300 phones and fixed them easily (nothing to fix really, just blow off some dusts between camera connectors and in front speaker)

You should order it by the store you got the picture of it. actually there are many stores selling parts for this phone.. almost like its branded.. unlike with other chinese phones you get a struggle to find parts, so you shouldn't face any problem to order a part.
Sound when touch on Lock Screen
hi, guys
I have FEITENG (HTM) H9500 almost a year and I am very pleased with it.
I want to change the sound of the screen when touch lockscreen, but I do not know how.
It did not sound when unlock the screen, it is the sound when you put your finger on the screen while the screen is locked.
In The system/media/ui is not, and I do not know where I'd be looking elsewhere.
Please help
No Data connection
I have had a Feiteng H9500+ for a while but recently rooted it and tried some different ROMs as well as applying a GPS fix. Somehow now my AT&T data connection is not working. The SIM settings have the data on and set to AT&T and I turned roaming on just to be sure but nothing I do can get the AT&T data to work. When I am connected to Wi-Fi it works fine. This is the only way I can get Internet.
Can anyone help me get my mobile data working again?
So this may be kind of a weird question, or could be kind of an advanced question.
Lets start with the backstory first,
I got a vernee thor (the first model) 2 years ago,
a month or so ago I started having some serious battery leaking problems (very powerful smell of acetone and ether) after I changed the battery of the phone everything was working ok except the back speaker which doesn't want to work (i tried to reopen the phone and see if by removing the speaker and re apply it to its position will solve the problem but no luck) and i was thinking that the problem could be in 3 parts, the flat flexible cable tape that connects the two main boards of the phone, the charging board or the speaker itself.
now my question is what is the easiest way to test if my phone speaker is working, i know i can remove it from the phone and it was two poles that connect to two pins with just some force power (charging board --> speaker it self).
any idea on how to test something like that without just using another identical phone board ?
tldr: phone speaker doesn't work where is a good place to connect it to see if it is broken or not.
