I found a good deal on XDA 2 batteries at www.pdamods.com
Dead link here.
Changed it, sorry I think I had a full stop in there !!
Good find! £10 cheaper than expansys.com, both seem to be 1200mAh
1400 mAh battery for Xda 2 at low price
hi ,i have found this battery that seems to be proposed around 42€
http://www.bluetrade.fr/achat/produit_details.php?id=75540
make sure they are original batts with all those people with cellphone explosions these last years
It seems fine, have been using it for 3-4 weeks now and I must admit it does last longer than my run down battery !!
Does anyone know if this will fit in teh XDA 3 ?
I picked up one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15034&item=5718353066
I'm very pleased. Life seems the same as the original battery.
Hi,
1) I'm in the UK
2) I am never sure about ebay, once purchased a PDA from there and that was my last time I used it !!
is the battery any good?
hi,
i visited this link and saw the 1400mAh battery or the qtek 2020, wanted to know, if anyone has used this, and if so, how reliable is it, and how much is the increase in battery power ?

Thanks

Hello everyone,
I have currently problems with 3 original PH17B Batteries for my MDA II and XDA II: the devices shut down mostly at over 20% without any warning - so I decide to buy a new accu with more Power. Is there anyone having this problem too and tried this? I´ve seen 1,2 Ah original batteries and not original ones with 1,5 - 1,7 - 2,4 and 3,6 Ah for the Himalaya and other (2,4 and 3,6 are sold with new backcover).
Is there anyone who tried this other accus and had no more problems?
Would a 2,4 Ah accu nearly double the time I can use this devices?
Would it be certainly that this problem won´t come back with 2,4 or even 3,6 Ah accus?
Thanks very much!
(sorry for my maybe bad english but I´m german - I hope it´s possible to understand everything ;-) )
I have been using a 2500mAh extended replacement battery which comes with its own back cover. The original one that came with the Hima was giving at best 1 1/2 days of use. It had to be charged every night so it won't run out the next day. I've bought 2 replacement 1200mAh since but they had the same battery life as the original. The 2500mAh is giving me a whopping 3 - 4 days of average/heavy use and a more than a week of stand-by time. If you don't mind the bump in the back (which by the way has made my leather/silicon cases unusable) then i would highly recommend it.
P.S. regarding the battery shutting down at 20%, it was an issue on some of the ROMS here but the later ones seem to have fixed that. If you have this problem then try installing Batti app. It was suggested by some previously and I have found it to work when I had that problem.
How strange!
I had bought a 3600mAh extended replacement battery. It have to be charged every day.
The new battery is giving me of stand-by time.
Is it normally?
When I bought it, I expected more.
The pocket pc have a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM.
I used a 3,6 Ah battery for more than a year, and one out of sudden it died.
I figuered out that the connections of the akku packs broke because of the huge dimensions. There are big mechanic forces working on the back of the device while using such an akku. It lasted nearly one week to recharge it, that was fine.
My HD2 went suddenly dead (no recognizing SIM card, no bootloader mode, etc). What should I do? Buy a new HD2 or are there any good replacements for the HD2. Advice much appreciated!!

Miraculous Revival
After several hard resets, several flashes of stock ROM and reformatting the SD card, the HD2 suddenly came back to live again and even recognized my SIM card again. Don't know what happened, only thing a know is that the battery was becoming very hot and was draining like hell. So, in order to try to avoid another event of a dead HD2 I ordered a new battery.
Thanks for time and reading.

Thanks for the tip, but as I wrote earlier I already ordered a new standard HTC battery. BTW, I do not like the looks of the HD2 with the extended battery, it looks awful, at least that is my opinion.

hey guys,
just wanted to let you know that i've found this website where you can buy this item for only $8.49 - bargain!
i have used andida batteries in the past for 2 other phones and they've not only increased battery life but they are also quite reliable. (eg. My x10 mini pro used to heat up when charging but with the andida it didn't)
so here is the website . check it out:
search in google - obostore 1600mAh andida bp6x
(dunno why server wont let me put a website here)
hope you all find it useful!
i need to wait for mine to get here which will take 2 weeks.
i'll update everyone on its performance when i can
Will i need new Back Case?
Sent from my T-Mobile G1 using Tapatalk
the website saids it fits original device.
so no back cover needed apparently!
Personally, I'd be wary about these knock-off batteries (especially being so cheap as well!).
me too! but i've used andida batteries for the last 2 phones i've had
and they not only worked better but lasted longer!
obviously i will check the labels and make sure its a legit battery.
still waiting for it to arrive!
stock batt is 1400mAh, so what's the profit from 200mAh more?

It is an increase of 14%
its not a bad increase. if you can get 24hrs out of the standard battery then you can get nearly 3 and half hours more with this..
I really don't trust on "higher batteries".
Battery is a thing that, if anything gets wrong, your phone could be damaged.
battery
i bought 1 of the batteries but i have a small problem since as soon as i put on the phone instead of the battery indicator i get a ? and when i charge it it says battery cannot be charged please use original motorola battery.
any help?
any help pls?
Milestone 2 works well only with original battery bp6x and bp7x, probably because of an embedded control chip
You can charge your non-original battery with a external dock, there's nothing else you can do
have you tried contacting the supplier and asking them? that would be the obvious first port of call! maybe its a duff one.
I will try that i am just asking here to see if anyone had the same issue

It is well known (at least in the german speaking board I am mostly active on) that the Milestone 2 only accepts Original BP6X (maybe BP7X? never heard of them) Batterys.
As patton82 wrote, you can charge it externally and use it, thou you won't see how much percent you have left nor charge it inside the MS2, so at best it is a "emergency battery" to carry with you charged.
There are problems even with "original" BP6X due to a lot of illegal copys of them which look legit at first (differences are quite small) and some online-shops sell them even without knowing they are not original ones.

sceada
thanks for your help then
google search
I had da exact same problem with a non-original 2400mAH battery. I Inserted it and it worked fine jus' didn't show da battery percentage, simply not being able to read the battery because it wasn't an original, and jus' showing a "?" icon instead.
It was very annoying, seen as I was excited to have an extended battery to make up for the POOR Milestone 2 battery, but in the end I jus' contact the seller and was issued a refund. Brought it off Amazon frm a third party seller by da way.
Anyway, would flashing a new/specific rom GREATLY improve the battery life of my Milestone 2? Or is there an alternative extended life battery that is compatible. Someone please help, and sorry for da story. Thanks

Does anyone know where it is possible to get original motorola BP6X batteries for sure? Preferably not for a price worth half the price of the phone now
I've few of those ultra-cheap chinese batteries as a backup battery in case my main battery dies. However It looks like my main battery won't hold charge as when new and I would like to have that original battery capacity once again (plus cheapo battery backup ofc)
I bought this battery and it's amazing. It lasts for days using a stock ROM with Juicedefender... I guess custom ROMs won't need JD.
Hi,
I'm just a simple guy using HTC Desire. It's been 1.5 years and it's time to get a new battery. I wanted to get this japanese 2430mah battery but I understand it's a scam.
So instead I wanted to opt for an original battery. However I do not understand why the original battery in the official UK htc store costs 3 times as much than it is on amazon.co.uk. Is this because it is not truely genuine? Why is it so complicated to get a new battery?
All I need is a battery that would last me from morning till I go to sleep at night. I do use bluetooth, wifi and mobile internet quite a lot. That's it.
Thanks for all your help,
Timmy
No one here knows if the batteries sold on Amazon are genuine or not?
Depends on who is selling the batteries. Is it being sold and shipped by Amazon or is it a 3rd party who is selling and shipping through Amazon Marketplace?
This is a third party. It's all very confusing. As I said above the price for what is supposedly the same battery on the HTC shop is 3 times as much.
battery not good
I bought a battery from China through dealextreme, a 1400 mAh 3,7V PISEN battery, because my orginal was getting kind of old...
It was good for 1-2 month's but after that my original 2 year old HTC battery was performing better. I would think twice before buying something else than a original battery again.
i too have fallen foul of the fake batteries, i just want something that gives me better on time without resorting to the hump back batteries
I too think I'm in need of a new battery, I guess I'll sift through ones on eBay for now..
I bought a new original htc batterie. How can I check whether it's original or crap ?
( at now, not in two month)

easy really should look exactly like your old one [ exactly ] maybe the numbers might be different but you can usually tell just read the battery word for word on the back if something's missing or something is added then its usually a fake. Had trouble before with Chinese copies -.- hate them
I'll be testing a 1800Mah battery soon and will post a thread about its performance, my battery is a year old and my phone deserves a new one
don't buy a battery from 3G-Power with 2400mAh..it's total crap. my 2 year old original battery is better..
My point was, my battery was good for approximate 3 months, but after that performance decreased rapidly. Even a good test would most likely say my battery was a good buy, if it was done on a new one.

Genuine HTC battery
I bought a genuine battery off Amazon (UK). Arrived this morning, seems to be identical to my genuine HTC battery. I investigated other options, but few people seemed happy with their higher mA batteries, so went for stock.
As this is my first post and XDA seems rather fascist in its approach to trying to limit noise (which doesn't work, IMHO; look at the number of posts in the Desire ICS threads about non-working cameras...), I can't post urls. I can't even post the url without the url tags. Very frustrating.

For HTC for alternative batteries try to look for Mugen Power.
which model we are talking about? but for instance for Desire Z they have 3600mAh
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...c-desire-z-t-mobile-g2-with-battery-door.html
reviews of Mugen batteries are promising.

you can try to recalibrate your battery, using either a option of your recovery or an app from the market.
My battery is nearly 2 years old, and using latest version of this ICS Rom it's now 22% after... 2 days and 14 hours of medium use !

how good is your 1800 battery ?
what is the make ?
thanks
My advice if you want more days of usage without losing long term usability would be to go with mugen power batteries as mine has lasted 6 months with good consistant usage. This does mean that you will have to put a new battery cover on but hey, 2-3 days of usage isn't bad.
Actually, for $60 you can get a battery worth your time and money with double the power of a stock HTC Desire Battery on Amazon. I am planning to buy this soon because reviews look promising.
