A2DP and audible player on tornado - HTC Tornado

I have an imate sp5m and I installed the A2DP fix and now windows media player works perfectly well with my spider bluetooth headphones.
But I tried audible player (audible.com, awesome service to listen to audiobooks on your cellphone) with A2DP and I can only hear sound in the left ear. Nothing in the right ear. Disappointing. Also, I was able to control windows media player from the bluetooth headphone controls, but that doesn't work at all with audible player (the software is now called audibleAir).
Any ideas on how I could fix this? Anyone got it to work?

Audible player on WM 5
HI, what ROM are you running?
I have an orange SPV C600 and installed AUdible player. It keeps giving me an authotication error when I try to run it as it cannot locate my "Hardware/Device ID". Did you ever come across any problems like this?
Thanks
Rob

no id/hardware issue for me
My ROM is the latest one:
ROM version: 2.0.8.0
Operator version: 2.6.331.2
I did not experience any problem with authentication for audible player. However, I did have to authorize my phone using the audible air software on the phone itself because it wouldn't work when I tried to authorize it from Audible manager on my PC.
I was able to hear the audio is stereo using bluecast but the quality is not great and I can't control the playback from the bluetooth headset. Still looking for a better solution.

Hi shaialud, is your ROM the Orange version? from the UK web site?
thanx

why it does not work
A2DP only supports mp3,wma, and maybe a couple of other formats. it is not an audible problem but a a2dp problem. Same issue on any a2dp device out htere.

A2DP Volume Control

I have an i-mate Jasjar and recently purchased the GlobalSat entertainment bundle (receiver and BT transmitter) to listen to music wirelessly. I like the way it works, but of course now want to see about upgrading to one of the A2DP roms.
My question is regarding volume:
On PPC devices I have owned, unlike Palm, the overall sound volume determines what goes to your headphones. So you cannot mute your device and have the sound come out of the headphones. My concern is that I now have to keep the volume on my device turned up high to be able to listen to music via bluetooth with A2DP. Is that correct? I'm concerned that if there is a glitch with transferring the music via Bluetooh I'll end up having music blaring out of my JasJar (which has unfortunately happened to me already when my headphone jack has become unplugged!)
Can anyone confirm/try this? Thanks!
When my universal is on vibrate the sound via A2DP is still fine, and is controlled via the software volume control, ie WMP. This has fooled me on occasion, when i disconnected my A2DP headphones, expecting the sound to transfer to the speakers, and then not heard anything. I would then find I had placed my universal on vibrate much earlier in the day.

Just curious, which a2dp rom did you use?
The Qtek AKU2 one.

I can hear A2DP mp3 music by bluetooth headset.

I have try many ways to use my Himalaya to play the A2DP music by bluetooth.
Finally I found that the i-tech R35 bt headset can do so. The sound is great.
I use the MSI-player to play the MP3 file and use the remote control to select the song.
I really love it. However, the only problem is that the R35 will not connect the phone while I dial out the no. without running the MSI-player in background. If someone can slove this problem. I think the i-tech R35 + Himalaya is a perfect match.

Pls Advice. Bluetooth Stereo Headphone Works On Wm6.1

hi, guys.
I've got a ppc model no. toshiba G810, it is a very good phone, but I met a problem when I using stereo bt headphone, model no. dell bh200.
I can pair bh200 to g810 very well, and all procedures are automaticly, even you don't need to input the pair code.
And I can hear av music, even 3gp, mp4 with bh200, the show is awesome, never have a problem with a2dp and avrcp profiles.
But when call is coming, or call somebody, the music will cut as it should be, but I can't hear phonecall with the headphone, if I talk, caller can't hear me either. A feel seconds later, my bh200 will power off automaticly, and bt connection is cut. (If I want to listen music again, I need to reconnect it)
Everytime, when av profile shift to handsfree profile, the problem is happen, seems phone and headphone are both muted. I can't answer the call with headphone and my ppc. Headphone will shut off too. Sometimes, my G810 will dead, you need to reboot it.
Dame! how wonderful bh200 is. If you listen the music with it, you will know, but handsfree profile has a big problem.
Why is it happening, can someone has clue to fix it? or it is the comparable problem with wm6.1?
If I need to take another bt headphone, which one should I use?
ps: some info about the platform:
toshiba G810 with wm6.1 pro, ce os 5.2.19581(build 19581.1.1.1)
bluetooth device driver: 8.1.22.1/soft ver3/hard ver3164/ manufacturer id: 10
thx for your attention, your suggestion will be appreciated.

No Sound in WMP or Audio Manager?

Hi All,
My Vox does not appear to output sound when playing in WMP (Windows Media Player) or HTC Audio Manager!?!?! The programs work and 'play' the songs, but not sound comes out!!
The speaker works, as the phone rings when a call is received. But I have noticed also that I cannot play ringtones in the profile menu also.
Plugging in headphone or Bluetooth headset makes no difference.
Anyone got any ideas????
Currently running Dr Gonzo Rom 6.1, radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90

Click to collapse
check the sound settings! check the system volume(by buttons on right side)
ve had this too^^ got rid off it dunno how
Ok... did what I didn't want to do and did a hard reset which has fixed the problem.
My best guess is that it was the Kinoma Media player that I installed - but required registration and doesn't work in landscape...
It must be the third party media player
Yup,
I had the same problem when I installed GS Player and associated all audio files with GS Player. Even the Ringer was silent . But after hard resetting, everything was fine, then I reinstalled GS Player and made sure that I was not associating MP3,WMA with GS Player. BTW have you tried GS Player? Its free and pretty good too.

[Q] Listen to music and podcasts on Mono BT headset

Hi friends,
I own a HD2 running Android and the only thing that I couldn´t find a solution was to listen to my music and podcasts though my Nokia BH-104 mono bluetooth headset.
On WinMo I used a very simple program which gives me the option to stream the audio to the BT earpiece or not. But I haven´t find anything like this to Android.
Am I missing something or it´s not possible to do this?
Thank you!
Nobody else has this problem?
I had the same problem, I use to use a regular bt earpiece through my winmo phone but on my Hero I had to get the new moto h17 earpiece to listen to music or in my case Howard Stern through the earpiece, On an android phone the earpiece needs to be A2dp.
Oh, what a shame! =/
My friends, I opened this thread, however nobody was able to help me. Although I have performed a deep search on google and I was able to find a program that just does what I ever wanted!!!
It´s called Super BT Mono Froyo Pro and can be found on the Android Market. It costs only $2.99 and it´s worth each cent.
The only advice I can give is: before disconecting the Mono BT earpice/headset, open Taskiller and shut down the program. Otherwise, Android will crash and reboot.
Anyway, now I can listen to my podcasts!!! Yahoooooo
