My operator send after every call an SMS (or network message) with cost of call and actual money on my account (it's prepaid). It works ok on my old phone SE. It worked on my Himalaya at first, but now it doesn't (after ROM upgrade). If I change my SIM card back to old phon - it works ok.
So it seems sth with my Himalaya need to be set.
Anybody knows what should I change?
I have a problem after upgrading to wm5 3.00. When I receive a call my phone always picks the address from the sim card instead of the address book on my qtek. I ave tried with another radio rom, but with no result. If a phone number is on the SIM card, it will first go to the sim card. Anyone with a solution?
Ok, so I flashed the Unofficial CyanogenMod to my Galaxy Ace, and it runs great, and I found out how to import my contacts from the SIM Card. Everything like Texts, Calls, Voicemail, and Caller ID work, but for some reason in the Notification drop down bar, the service carrier which should show "Koodo" shows "302220" instead, which I assume is their carrier ID number.
Is there a way to fix that, because this happened before I knew how to import contacts on another ROM, which I think is another issue, because shouldn't it automatically load them off my SIM card because they are stored there? When I flash back to the stock Koodo firmware they show up automatically...
Bump... I really need an answer, would a screenshot help?
UPDATED
I´ve just been using the HTC ONE X for about 4 days and I´ve been receiving hundreds of repeated msgs from my carrier. They say "Vivo RJ 21" (Vivo is the carrier, RJ stands for Rio de Janeiro...the city, and 21 is the area code for Rio de Janeiro). I´ve already tried several factory resets with no luck. I´ve also tried a micro sim card from a different carrier and I kept receiving the same msg (except for the carrier name). I´ve received other regular msgs from my carrier and from other people that were not repeated. It´s just this one.
What are my options here????
Do you still have the same number ported over? If so then maybe it might be a glitch in there system. If not then it might be spam from the poor person before you. Either way either get a block on that or call carrier to stop it.
The worst part is that I cannot even block this number because whenever I try to add the number to the Mr.Number app it tells me to add a valid number. The number is only 2 digits...it´s 50
Looks like it would be best to either call them or go in store and ask them to test the phone. Sounds more like a software hiccup, but who know? Hope you don't have to receive that many texts tomorrow
But do you guys think there is a chance this could be phone related?
I might just try to get a micro-sim to sim card adapter and test it another phone to see if it still happens.
Its a broadcast message
U can stop it in message setting
It will not harm u
Press thanks
Or u can give me ur one x as a gift
How do I stop that in settings? I´ve tried everything and I don´t think it´s that simple.
It must be getting close to 200 messages.
Just go to your carrier already! Or if nothing works, then do a barrel roll~
Don´t you think I would have gone to the carrier if it wasn´t closed during the weekends! I´ve already called them 3 times and they did different things. The last thing they did I was supposed to wait 24h.
What is a barrel roll?
Can you remove the SIM and use the phone without it? If not then try finding some other app that blocks numbers... maybe one that supports blocking operator numbers?
as said before carrier messages can be blocked...I'm assuming a battery pull did nothing?

Ok, just let me know how. So far I´ve tried about 7 differente text/spam blockers apps and none has worked.
The HTC One X´s batt cannot be removed.
Do you have message settings
Just check there might be option of broadcast message
Keep our forum clean
I do have message settings but there are no options there that would help me with this (only stuff like notification types, signature, forward to email, etc).
Today I´m going to the store where I got the micro sim card to have it changed. I REALLY hope it works because it would be a real shame if this was the HTC One X and not the micro sim card.
When I go to "about the phone", then "network" it shows:
operator name - unkown
signal strenght - 0
mobile network type - unkown
service state - radio off
roaming - not roaming
Nonetheless I can make and receive calls, send and receive text msgs, navigate, etc. The only issue is really the operator msgs informing my city area code over and over again.
I went to the carrier and got a new micro sim and did a factory reset WITH the micro sim card inside the phone. The date above got populated. I will wait to see if I will get anymore msgs but I think this might be it.
I´ve tried with a micro sim card from a different carrier and the problem persists. This is phone related for sure. I really don´t know what else to do...maybe try a different rom other then the stock?
I´ve called HTC again and they instructed me to do the following:
-> "settings", "call" and then disable the option "cell broadcast".
So far no msgs. Lets wait and see.
Hi,
I have a Xiaocai X9 dual sim phone. I have two sim cards with complementary contracts. The first sim comes with free texts and internet, while the second sim card comes with free calls. However, if I accidentally use the first sim card for calls or the second for texts and internet, it can get pretty expensive.
I use MIUI and often it automatically selects sim card 1 instead of 2 for calls. Therefore, I need a way to disable or block all outgoing calls on sim card 1 and ideally all outgoing texts and internet connections for sim card 2.
Please post here if you know a solution. Thanks!
Does anyone know a handset or app which allows you to restrict calls to small set of numbers, while allowing SMS to any number?
I've been playing around with my HTC Desire S, and you can use Fixed Dialing Numbers (FDN) to restrict calls to a small set of numbers, but that also restricts SMS to that same set of numbers.
I'm using miui v5. While making call it asks from which
Sim you want to place call. Also for sms while sending sms you get 2 options sim1 sim2 select appropriate option to send sms. I have not seen any song to set default option for sms/call

I also use MIUI v5. There are certain scenarios when MIUI automatically starts a call with sim1 without the prompt. Furthermore, there is also the risk to accidentally select the wrong sim card for a call or a text message - as it happened to my once. I therefore still try to find a fool-proof solution - either an app or an OS.
Hi guys
I have the same problem and seriously want to solve this problem with miui v5 on TCL s950
when I'm trying to make a call from contacts list it use sim1 automatically!
If it haave any solution please help....
