i'm searching for the jtag test points of the prophet in order to repair a friend's prophet.
There is a row with 8 square test points on the one side of the pcb and 16 additional on the other side.
Any ideas what to search for?
If someone wishes, I can upload high res images of the main board.
Thanks
i think if you uploaded pictures of the board, both sides, it would help a lot of people to help you!
whats wrong with his prophet?

you are right, i'm going to attach some pictures.
the prophet has a damaged/erased bootloader. No sign of life.
Hi guys.
Well, i break my n1 while trying to clean the display, following a unmount video found on youtube.
Well, it's not totally break, but i cut a little the flat cable that let work the touchscreen and i break the flat cable that connect the volume regulation button.
So...i have original spare parts to give, if someone need, like display, chassis, battery...and other things.
Display and phone glass is in perfect condition.
No scratch, no dead pixel ( is it correct for amoled display? ) and even zagg shield on the phone is still there ( not on screen, just on the body of the phone ).
I can send high quality pics, if somone of you need particular view of it.

Hi.
Well if you can send me an 'how to' for disassembly that part i'll do.
I'm not familiar with internal component of this phone.
Anyway, i'd like to send the entire phone first at all, so the final user will unmount the part that need.
It will be more easy for me.
Or else, just wait that i'll give other 'simple' part of the phone ( display, battery, chassis ) to people that need and after i'll can send easily the remaining part to you.
i can build a queue of the people here that need parts with priority to who will take all the phone.
This is the actual queue:
1- teihoata: display
2- bingoz : power button circuit
How much for the whole set? Does it still have the accessories from the box?
100 Euro?
Im from the Philippines
send me a PM with your price along with shipping
for me it's ok.
i have the full box with everything.
shipping cost amount at 63 euro.ì, with assurance option included ( 5,68 euro ).
you can check also by yourself at this website ( postal service ):
http://www.poste.it/online/paccocelerein/application/privati/index.html
so the total it's 163 euro.
i think it's the cheapest way.
regards
How about the battery cover? My lens on the back battery cover is cracked and I need to get it replaced.

well, i dunno. anyway tomorrow a guy here will bring the entire phone.
i prefer to sell everything if it's possible.
if tomorrow i will not complete the transaction, i will start to give the spare parts to you all asked already, and we will set a price toghether.
ok?
thanks to everyone.
I'm interested in the battery/chassis if you end up parting out.
I want the aluminum frame ((the lighter gray portion)) if you part it out.
my apologize, but as i wrote before, i prefer to sell it all, i mean entire phone not some parts at time.
i sell it already some days ago.
thanks to everyone anyway.
Hi my name is Stefano and I have a Galaxy S I9001. I know our smartphone is a little obsolete, but with the new jellybean-based ROM for me is still a great device. so I've build a cover with a built-in LED Flash for it, and I'm trying to reach the goal to give interested people the possibility to take pictures in low light conditions...
here is the link for Indiegogo's Campaign with all the details: http://igg.me/p/278277/x/1711899
I can produce it only if i reach 1000 items...

Okay this is just heart breaking. If only you have come up with this'd product sooner. I an planning to replace my phone with a nexus 4 whenever it becomes available in Hong Kong. So by the time your cover arrived I would probably have a new phone already. But good luck with your project.

How does it work?
See the campaign page for more details... COVERLIGHT is a galaxy S back cover with a built-in LED Flash. Just replace the original back cover with coverlight and you can use your new LED flash to take pictures and videos even in low-light condition

Really nice accessory, but not available in my country :/
Those are some cool-looking covers right there, great concept.
I'm curious though, why didn't you place the LED next to the power-button? The SD-card inserton slot is almost 1mm deep and would make the LED lamp significantly less protruding from the cover.

Hi, what does it means "not available in your country"? Are you talking about COVERLIGHT or the Smartphone Model?

Hi, the 1mm deep is used for 2 resistors and 1 transistor (it's not just a LED connected with 2 wires )... no more space there
Ah, I didn't notice how the space was already used up c:
Looks very promising!
I hope i can buy one in holland or order one somewhere..
Good luck mate!
Thanks! You can pre-order it on the campaign page http://igg.me/p/278277/x/1711899...and share this link with all your friends and family

Very nice concept.
Just one question though
Do I have to press the button above the speaker each time I take a picture or video?
or is it taken care of from the camera itself (auto flash)?

Yes, when you are taking a picture just press the button and the LED will light up. we can't control it by the phone
Why don't you connect to it by bluetooth, so it can flash just when you take a picture? Bluetooth chip is real small and it doesn't need that much wiring... just an idea

Uhm... sounds interesting... I don't know how small is it. I'll check (but I don't think we have enough space for it).
But...Is it a feature that COVERLIGHT need to have? I designed it like a "simple" project... Let's talk about it
Just curious if anyone knows about a battery interchange guide. Something I could enter dimensions and contact positions and then get a list of batteries that might fit in that space.
Specifically, I have a Chinese KIngSing S2, and, why yes, the battery is dead. The company appears to be as well, or at least they are no longer making replacement batteries for said. Not a big deal, it was a cheap phone, nothing to scream about, and I've already moved on. But, it's still pretty decent and I could give it to my kid... if I could get a battery for it that works.
So... before I break out the soldering iron, I thought I'd ask.
Any suggestions?

Hi does anyone know a good car stand for this kind of a big device?
Was thinking about this magnetic thing, I wonder if it will hold the massive load of this heavy phone. and I wonder if any bump on the road will cause the device to move on this magnet stand.
what are your thoughts, and what do you guys use?
Thank you in advance.

Yes I already saw this mount, but I cant use it in my car. it has no cd/dvd slot.
Thank you anyway
I have one that sticks to my dash. It works very well. It was only $5 at the local Five Below store.
