Hi,
I have just purchased an O2 XDA IIs PDA / Mobile Phone. It works fine (after removing the O2 Active thingy). The only problem is that when I try to switch on BlueTooth (or try accessing BlueTooth Manager) i get the following message:
Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio

I did a normal reset a couple of time but no success. Any help? and any idea what the driver memory is??

I'm having one major problem that I've been unable to solve. Every so often the bluetooth stops working and the sound locks giving error=2. Bluetooth reports "failed to turn on due to insufficient memory". If I try to increase the volume it goes back to 0. The only solution is a full hardware reset. It's happens so often I've transferred all the cab's onto a separate sd card so I can reinstall the lot without a PC.
I have a feeling it is USB related as it seems when it's stuck into a port it can on occasion initiate the problem.
The only way I've managed to sort the issue was by upgrading the bluetooth to a newer version (broadcomm_bt_stack.CAB 1.7.6) via a hack found on one of this forum, however while the sound then works the bluetooth is off completely probably because registry settings are using the wrong port etc.
Here's a list of the PDA spec:
OS: 5.01, 20061016
ROM: 1.10.15
Firm: 3.0
Bootloader: v2.17
Bluetooth: Broadcom 1.7.1 Build 8700
I have attached the bluetooth registry values (before I try to update the stack).
Any ideas???
Hi All,
This is my first post. I purchased the HTC pro yesterday and all seems to be working well apart from the annoying vodafone crap thats covering the htc pro software. I am looking to flash the phone and get the vodafone s/w off. However, the phone does not stay connected to windows mobile 6.1 very long, maybe 1 min max. It keeps disconnecting. Any idea's? Is there a work around for this?
The phone is connected to my laptop using the data cable provided, I'm using vista 32 bit o/s.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
Excuse me?
Hi Dave,
sorry, but what exactly do you mean with "Windows Mobile"? Did you mean Windows Mobile Device Centre on your Vista machine?
Scott
Could be one of many things. Firewall problem, dodgy cable - do you have another you can try? Could be a hardware problem with the phones usb socket or the laptops usb socket... But the best advice I can offer is to use Windows XP when flashing roms - it is possible with Vista, but it's generally a simpler process with XP.
Hi,
Its Windows Mobile Device Centre, and I have downloaded the latest version. I will try this on my xp laptop. Ideally I want to get rid of all the vodafone crap Its annoying how it keeps on cutting out. I thought it might be some setup setting I would need to change?
Cheers,
I had the same problem with my HTC Touch Pro disconnecting from Device Centre, and fixed it by setting the 'Shut Down Device when not used for' on external power for more then 1 minute (I selected 30 minutes).
Hey,
I had done that via going to Power - Advanced - Unticked all of them.
Is that bit somewhere else on the phone?
Sorry I am new to HTC phones (
Cheers,
Touch Pro disconnecting from Computer
Hi,
I have similiar problem. I am using Windows XP Pro in my computer. The phone is disconnected if I pick up an incoming call. Once I hang up, it will automatically reconnect.
Any idea how to solve this?? Thanks
Managed to fix my issue, was a change in settings - usb to pc - and untick the enable advanced network functionality.
Cheers for your help, managed to flash the rom too!
Dave
Hi,
Go to setting, connection, USB to PC, untick Enable Advanced Network Functionality. Then my problem is fixed
Hi, I also have the problem, TP connects fine but after 1 minute it disconnects?
I have unticked the "Enable Advanced Network Functionality" and I have the:
'Shut Down Device when not used for' on external power
set to 30 minutes
Please does anybody have other possible solutions?

hi; can somene tell me how to solve my problrm, my spv c600 always on bootloader after bad unlock, i try to reflash by upgrade rom , but connection is not etablished by active syncro !!
how to forced my phone for connection with soft upgrade!!
same here, no matter what it stays in bootloader
active sync will not connect in bootloading mode. if you still hear the connection sound (the sound you hear plugging in any usb device)on your pc then it is connected to the pc and can flash a new rom
follow this guide exactly (proabbaly were doing this now just finish from where you left off)

I hear the USB connecting sound, but tera Term says canot open
Before you try tera term, go to connection setting of Activesync and uncheck 'Allow USB Connection', otherwise teraterm cannot connect your phone.

Still no go
did u ever find a solution?
In bootloader mode activesync cannot connect. But you can flash rom directly using ROMUpdateUtility in this mode. Best thing is try with original factory rom.
Another possibility of going to bootloader screen on every startup could be of hardware problem. I also faced similar problem frequently.. but I resolved the problem. My case was because of my camera button.. it actually is not working properly and sometimes remain stuck in, then my handset goes to bootloader on every startup..In that case i just pull it up using some sharp edge.
So, check for any hardware problem to, sometimes cleaning could also help.
hi
my phone was weeks ago in service. after new motherboard they install fresh software on it. but now i cant turn bluetooth anymore on. it gives me error:

Hello,
WiFi doesn't work with my HTC HD2 under SD AmericanAndroid Version 2.3.5.
It takes a long time until the wireless switcher is turned on and after a few seconds the switcher goes automatically to "off". Bluetooth works normal.
In Windows Mobile there's no problem - both Bluetooth and WiFi are fine.
I've tested severall versions of Android (SD and NAND), tried SD card reformatting- always the same effect, no WiFi under Android.
I've already tried hardware and software reset - also without problem solution.
Any ideas?
Hi,
no idea, but I tried out this (AmericanAndroid) during last weeks on a HD2 and everything was working fine, even WiFi (SD Build):
