I've experienced it but no solution unfortunately...
There should be no problem, just make sure you update to a 2.20 ROM first before you start upgrading to an AKU3.x or WM6 ROM
My IPL after unlocking and upgrading to WM6 remains 1 but SPL is 2..how to make both of them 2?

exe read what do IPL and SPL mean in the WIKI, it is like the BIOS of the mainboard in PC, basic inpot output system

Im now currently running Smart1-NEW-V2 on my QtekS200.
In the installation description, i first had to install the following rom:
RUU-Prophet-220734-2207114-024721-NVID-exe
As far as i understand, this one has: IPL: 2.20 and SPL: 2.20 (and radio 2.47.21)
The installation went well, but when i now restart, my unit shows;
IPL 2.10 (!!!!)
SPL 2.20
My question is; shouldnt the NVID-exe have upgraded my IPL to 2.2?
Is something wrong?
(tried searching and reading about this on the forum, but didnt become any wiser. Will be grateful for an explanation)
most roms do not include update for ipl... there is no need to upgrade ipl
I have the latest 2.20 qtek rom and a still have IPL 2.09 on my device... no problem!

I have this iMate Kjam (Not mine). It was with a T Mobile Official ROM and has IPL/SPL at v2.26. I checked and there was no G4 sign anywhere. Someone had to remove the CID thing to this. I downloaded several WM6 ROMs but once the complete flashing and the device reboots, I'm still in the T-Mobile ROM. I down-flashed to the age-old Button Love WM5 base ROM and here is the ROM status:
IPL: 1.01
SPL: 2.26
GSM: 1.12.10
OS: 1.5.4.2
If I upgrade from this point with, let's say, TNT5.0, here is what happens:
IPL: 1.01
SPL: 2.26
GSM: 1.12.10
OS: 1.5.4.2
Same right? but all the graphics change when booting. There is the HTC logo when device is turned on and there is the TNT 5.0 "BOOM" title when OS is loading (with the IPL/SPL/GSM/Radio)
Can someone tell me what is going on? HardSPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332320) clearly tells me that device is NOT G4

Update:
I was able to install the official T-Mobile ROM onto Button Love ROM. Here is the screen statistics:
IPL: 2.26
SPL: 2.26
GSM: 02.25.11
OS: 2.26.10.2
If I try to upgrade to WM6 now, nothing will happen as I've already tried. After the flash process, it will still be official TMobile...
What should I do now? If I compare the properties of this Wizard with my own, I'm pretty sure this should be a G4 device.
Flash Buttons ROM again and do a CID unlock. That's it! Have fun!
I have a G3, but I had to flash Button twice so that the IPL/SPL matched, then I unlocked and reflashed 2.26 stock (again be sure that IPL/SPL match numbers), then from there I joined rom flashers anonymous!

Trying the Button Love ROM the third time... the SPL just won't drop... whats going on?

The only avaliable HardSPL tool doesn't recognize the device as G4... so how do I forced CID unlock? I tried SoftSPL... but at that time, my IPL and SPL were different...

IF you have
IPL 2.26 or 1.xx
SPL 2.26 or 2.XX
You have a G3 device - forget do not use Hard SPL or Soft SPL, these are ONLY FOR G4 DEVICES
Since you have a G3 Device you have 2 options
If you have IPL 1.xx and SPL 2.xx . use WST (Wizard Service Tools) to unlock your CID device

Note that only with IPL 1.xx you are hable to unlock your CID with WST

Actually, I followed what Pisca said about using WT and it worked... in Button Love, I finally CID unlocked and upgraded to Official TMobile. Then TNT5.0. All Well

Ok, if you are on IPL 1.xx and SPL 2.xx, you can use WST-Wizard Service Tool 4.2.2 to CID unlock
Then you should load a carrier ROm T-Mobile to get IPL/SPL 2.xx
But allways read as mentioned in the previous post

Hello, My English is not please not bad so well thus its. I am quite again and have several questions. Which is IPL and SPL on the boat screen on my MDA Vario? I wanted it gladly bottles however it went not as I wanted. My Bootscreem data is:
IPL 1.01
SPL 3.08
GSM 02.25.11
OS 2.26.10.2
If you have downgraded by flashing Button's Rom 1.05 for CID unlocking,then reflash the button's rom once more to get SPL 1.xx also and use lokiwiz02 tool to CID unlock,otherwise download WST_4.2.2 from the below link and run it to CID unlock the phone,after that upgrade to IPL/SPL 2.xx by flashing T-Mobile 2.26 or any AKU 2 official rom and than you can upgrade to any wm6.1 latest roms.
