yes XDA orbit 2 is same HTC polaris
it will be released at around the end of January (2008) in the UK, so that's an english version. Don't know if/when WWE or english ROMs etc. will be released, its still very young. Price wise buying from germany/europe will be slightly cheaper than uk (currency)
i have the xda orbit 2 on wm 6 with a lot of programs .ie,,copilot 7 ,spb .photos ,,will i lose these all ..i realey dont know what to do for the beast shall i go for the 6.1 upgrade [from the o2 site] or what please advise

taking in consideration that iam looking for a business use mobile.

Well... I would go for TP2 definetly! if you are going for a buissness device.
It´s just a few weeks of launching.
Have in mind that if you select omnia you will not have the great support of this site...as we focus on HTC devices

Agree with orb, that the TP2 could be your best device now.
Have no idea when available in the Middleeast...maybe your carrier knows.
Or you can get it unlocked on Ebay in June...

As galxys states, perhaps the best way would be to buy an unlocked one on ebay, expansys or any other store.
I´m doing that because in my country it would be later and more expensive

I tried searching the forum and couldn't see any other threads, but does anyone know anything about the release date in the UK for the desire HD2? It wasn't officially announced at the Feb mobile congress.

Expansys UK has it unlocked, or free with a Vodaphone contract.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't pick up on the HD " 2 " part right away. All anyone says is soon. No one is even taking any pre-orders yet.
