Hi!
First of all, sorry for my english, as I'm french!
And sorry, but I didn't find my problem elsewhere in the forum (and away too!)
So, here we are:
O2 XDA II
ROM 2.01a.32WWE
Radio 1.19
After upgrading from WM2003, I paired my bluetooth devices (Jabra JX10 and GPS). Everything is OK.
Shut down, restart. Everything is still OK  ...
But :
Soft Reset, restart... My GPS is still in my bluetooth devices list, but unusable (impossible to use it in TomTom: No GPS... And I did the correct things first... Once again, everything worked well BEFORE soft reset) .
I tried to pair it again but... Just after pressing "New Partnership...", it says "No Devices Found", less than a second after.
If I suppress it, no way to see it back...
I tried reinstalling WM5, tried 2.01a.64 ou .00, same thing: everything is ok till softreset...
I tried cold boot (Power+reset), didn't correct my pb at all: no bluetooth.
I tried hard boot (Record+Camera+reset)... Worked fine til... soft reset!!!
Does someone has a clue? I'm turning totally nuts!!!
Note that my Jabra is working in all these conditions!!! :?:
Then I tried something new... after a soft reset, no GPS working, I tried to suppress all my bluetooth devices and it works!!! I can now find my two devices... But, once again, after a soft reset, no GPS working!!! Still in the list but...
PLEASE, HELP A GUY NOT BECOMING TOTALLY INSANE ;o)~
Best regards
Benjamin

Re!
I have something to add... 'cause I'm still trying to solve my probleme...
I noticed that:
- If Bluetooth is "ON" when soft reset, GPS doesn't work and no more bluetooth devices can be found...
- If Bluetooth is "OFF" when soft reset, GPS DOES work and bluetooth detection is fully functionnable...
And the last who spoke is right... Soft reset with bluetooth "off" repairs everything!
Any idea???
Best regards.
Benjamin
Hi once again...
No answer, I'm really
OK, so I add some problems to my existing one!
I restart as new, after soft reset... OK...
Then connect bluetooth devices (BT GPS and Jabra JX10)... OK...
Launch TomTom 5.21... OK... GPS found and everything is working fine...
Exit TomTom...
Re-Launch TomTom... No GPS available !!!!!!!     I'm furious.
I tried to delete BT GPS and reconnect it... No way to enter password, everytime refused... So, back to the start: suppress both devices and connect them again...
I'm really turning mad!
Does anyone have a clue????? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
Thanks...
Benjamin
XDA and WM5 depressed...

Hi,
does anybody know, if the TomTom Navigator work on an MDA2. I've got my MDA2 since monday and i am not able to get TomTom Navigator (Version2 incl. the newest Updates) running. The installation-process works fine, but if I start the installed software, I get the lovely circling wheel in the middle of the screen...and that's all...hmmm...so, does anybody got a working installation of tomtom2 on an MDA2 or an XDA2 ???
Next question:
Does anybody have experiences with a Bluetooth-GPS-Mouse on a MDA2 (maybe this question is not very important, if the answer of the question above will be nefative ;-)
greets from frankfurt / germany
roberto
There's a thread on Bluetooth GPS and the XDA II/MDA II (http://xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3341)
in which there is an answer to both your questions.
Haven't seen anything new lately on either topic:
- Tom Tom with any kind of GPS
- Bluetooth GPS
I had the same problem, then I tried a different SD (128 instead of 256) card for map storage and it works. I remember TomTom having the same problems with Ipaq 5450’s until HP issued a fix.
I’ve just ordered a Bluetooth GPS.. Looks like I’ve got more problems ahead.

Please keep us informed, regardless if the Bluetooth GPS fails or not..
By the way: I read a review of the new Toshiba E800 PDA (which has a 480x640 screen  and beautiful indigo color (finally something else)) and the author mentioned testing the PDA with a Rikaline Bluetooth GPS receiver.
At first, he had difficulties connecting the Toshiba and the Rikaline, but managed to solve it by setting TomTom to 'Bluetooth Card' instead of 'COM6'.....
Might be worth a try :?:
Take care :!:
There is no 'Bluetooth Card' setting on Navigator 2.
I still can't get it to work.
Help!

 I guess it has to do with the Bluetooth Manager of the Toshiba then...
Nothing left but wait for Tom Tom updates and more MDA2 Bluetooth profiles
Somebody101, will you try something, install maps to main memory and see if that works, I know you can only install a portion but I would be interested to hear the results.
Help!
I have had my M3000 for about 8 months now and until recently it has worked fine.
Last week when I answered a call with it, the headset turned itself off after about 2 mins of talk time. The phone thought the headset was still connected and I had to transfer the call back to the phone, and end the call before I could do anything else. It is now doing this regularly.
I have re-bonded and the headset is fully charged (even tried it while connected to charger!)
I have also tried to run the headset against my pc (audio output) and this works fine.
The only thing I can think of is the battery in the 3000 losing its charge when connected to a phone, but when I charge it, it is ready in a matter of mins.
Anyone any other suggestions as to why the Headset powers itself off ?? Has anyone seen this behaviour before ??
Thanks in advance.
mine does the same mate its the platronics m3000 its crap and doesnt work well with the XDA2 use the bluetrek G2 they work great
Mine did the same, but I just noticed that the XDA2 was on Bluetooth Discoverable mode, when I switched to Bluetooth Connectable (On) it works fine
Thanks to all who have replied....
I have tried a few more things out
1) Logged an issue with Plantronics
2) Tried my BT Carkit which works no problem
3) Tried a Hard Reset - Works great afterwards  until I install my apps
It has therefore got to be a problem with apps and rom version clash??
Those who have had similar issues with the Plantronics turning itself off after using it for more than about 1.5 Mins.... Do you have any of the following apps ???
Belkin IR Keyboard Drivers (Belkin WPDAK)
Fonix Voice Dial/ UK Roger
Microsoft Money
MTUX Ringtone X
Pocket Bluetooth Tools (1012)
RegKing
Sandisk WiFi
SBSH.NET Birth2Day/ Calendat Plus/ iLauncher
Scary Bears Check Notifi
Yishin Power Check
CDL - O2 Customisiation
Thanks,
Ian
Plantronics Bluetooth Headset
I also have the same problem. I also have a SanDisk wifi card (which on occasion also stops working causing me to hard reset) and Microsoft Voice Dialler and Pocket Breeze and a number of other plugins. The whole point of plug-ins is to use them! Any suggestions???
David
It gets worse!!
I have just tried the Widcomm stack on the XDAII.
Its probably me, but I just cant get the thing to pick up the headset when I make or recieve a call, so that was no use.
To uninstall Widcomm I had to do a hrad reset (Widcomm disables the sound after uninstallation for some reason - grrrr), and now the damm thing shows the same symptoms - even on a virgin hard reset device.
My only conclusion is that something changed in the last ROM to kill it. I'll wait for another ROM upgrade and see what happens then, but will now probably end up buying another headset.
Is anyone on 1.72 with a Plantronics that works??? :?:
Ian - Rom 1.72
Do you have the 1.72 Rom on the XDAII from the UK? I thought it wasn't out yet. Is it better than 1.60?

Yep 1.72 UK.
Its better than 1.6x but has still got issues with it - like needing to be hard reset every now and again (grrr). But BT is more stable and power drain is better.
Hey everyone
I wonder if someone can help.
Having recently got my XDA11i and managed to pair my Sony Ericcson Bluetooth headset sucessfully. I thought i would go the whole nice yards and get myself sat navigation for the car.
Having now got the tom tom reciever and again sucessfully pairing it to my XDA11i using the tom tom set up wizard, my sony ericcson headset now refuses to connect to my xda.
can anybody help as I am really at a loss as to what I can try to solve this problem.
upgrade BT
Hi, you need to upgrade your BT version to build 3900.
It worked on my M2000

Thanks for That
Thanks for the advice Rayman. i have downloaded the patch you suggest however i dont know how to install it on my xda. if you could pleaase help i would be most grateful
Surely it's a case of sticking it on your phone and then, on your phone, tapping on the cab file?
On this topic...
I've historically had problems with Tomtom running and getting a call, both on XDA2 and now XDA2i. Normally what happens is that the call bubble appears but none of the "buttons" on the bubble work, and then TT crashed.
HOWEVER
I was on my way home the other day and for a laugh I turned on TT to tell me the way to go . I got a call from my girlfriend and so I flipped the boom on my Motorola HS810 and waited for it to pair up, then answered the call. It worked, and better yet, when I hung up the call TT hadn't frozen! Made my night, but then I live a sad life
Cheers

I had this very same problem.
Downloading and installing the latest Tom Tom GPS update solved it.
Also, check that you dont have a port conflict (this is what Tom Tom told me to do).
Hello every body
I got my new xdaIIi on O2 , but its locked. i want to unlock it.please anyone has solution for it and very greatful to person.

Hello, My T-Mobile MDA (just reflashed with the Faria Crossbow WM6) is not pairing with any of my bluetooth headsets. When I initiate a pairing, the devices are found and a request for a pass code comes up. I enter the pass code that I know is correct and then I'm thold that the MDA cannot connect to the device or that the passcode is incorrect. Has anybody else seen this?
Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm running Faria Crossbow "Real Thing". I am pairing with my GPS and my wireless microphone, both of which required security codes, and both are working fine.
Try a hard reset and see if it works without any of your own applications loaded. If it does, then see if you can figure out which application is the problem. If it does not, re-flash.
Good luck,
Problem Solved
I tried a reflash and it solved the problem.
Since v1.60c my bluetooth second binding/connection is distorted.
In the car, first my TomTom gps binds and connect perfect and then my carkit Parrot 3100 binds and connect perfect. But when i make a phonecall, the line is very distorted. Some buzz is on the line.
And if i change the sequence, by first binding the carkit, and after that trying to bind the TomTom gps. The gps will not bind at all.
The last version that worked correct was the version 1.60c
Somebody with the same experience?
PS. is it possible to extract the Bluetooth files from the v1.60c version and save on the latest versions?
Gps & Parrot Together With Wm2k5 : Bluetooth Incompatibility ??
Same happens to me.
I'm experiencing this problem since I upgraded from WM2003SE.
Every WM2K5 ROM I've tryied does the same.
If once gps and parrot both are binded, you go to bluetooth settings/devices/and you disable hands free service, wait for few seconds and enable it again, then the parrot should work with no trouble.
It's the only that works to me...I have to do it every time I get in my car.
If somebody has the solution I would apreciate.
FRANCESC
Yes, it works for me too. But it isn't a beautiful way to connect!
Somebody know what this could be?
hi
could the both of you with the parrot 3100 please tell me:
.) does it sync the phonebook with pda's contacts?
.) does it show the name of the incoming call?
.) does it show mobile providers net status (=strenght)
if not: have you tried www.jetwaremobile.com ? does it work with that "enhancement"?
thanks!
regards ize|man
I will try!
Thanks for this information, I'll try.

Not working for me!
I think that I'm suffering with the same problem. I used to use a Nokia CK-1W for hands free and a iBlue BT GPS with Tomtom6 on my Jasjam/Dopod/Hermes and had no problems whatsoever. I've just changed the car and have fitted a Parrot CK3100 (FW 1.6C) and I can no longer connect to hands free and the GPS at the same time.
If I bind to the GPS first everything is fine until I attempt to pair with the Parrot. Upon pairing synchronisation starts and then for some reason the bloody thing starts to make a call!!! The phone doesn't recognise that it's calling, it's just the kit doing it. Once paired and synched the GPS connection is killed.
If I bind to the Parrot first I have no bizarre calling issues but I am unable to locate the GPS device.
What the hell? Have I bought a turkey?
Anyone with a suggestion as to how to fix it?

so. none of these three questions is answered with YES? does it work out-of-the-box?
so if i get you right: there is no way to sync my contacts with the 3100?
thanks ize|man
I mean it's not solving my problem
Didn't solve mine either. In fact, it made it worse! I still have all the connection problems but in addition, the battery meter no longer shows on the Parrot. Uninstalling jetware returned the meter.
