HI i bought a mda compact in the uk now i am back in south africa. I would love to use my mda compact here but i am unable to do so.
The reason why is as soon as i switch on my mda compact it loads to windows, as soon as it gets to windows it loads all the drivers then when it is done it should go in to windows so you can use it, but mine does not it goes to a blank screen and says: (on top) Serial (bottom) v1.02
I have tryed to reset it but it just comes to the same screen what can i do to fix it and use in sout africa PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this board and I read nearly all threads about MDA. I bought my T Mobile MDA Compact 2 weeks ago from Germany. Yesterday while I was trying to change its language to English its locked. I installed Windows 2003 SE then device restarted but not open anymore. Now I can not open it. When I try to open it on the top of the screen it writes "Seial" and at tthe bottom it writes "1.00 Version". What should I do? I need immediate assistant; can anybody help me to make my MDA Compact working again?

Hi All, excuse this, I have tried everything else including the i-mate site who leave alot to be desired ( I was goin through the process of upgrading my Jasjar to WM6 & did not follow the instructions asa you do... My Jasjar has now totally reset itself back to the basic screen without windows installed so it seems, all I get is a blank unpowered screen with v1.00 at the bottom, have tried plugging it into my USB port, which just says it does not recognise it. I have also lost my WM5 CD, so can't even restore from there.. can anyone advis me what to do next.... i'm pulling my hair out (what little of it I have )

Just restart the OS load, try in with the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe , and that is it!
Oh happy days!! Logged into the main screen this morning & there it was, reseting your device from bootloader screen.... Now to upgrade to WM6

I have a problem with my MDA Compact Germany from T-Mobile. I don´t know, if I post in the right topic, because I found some with vario and JAM. I realy
read a lot of hours, but I didn´t find any solution. Now my problem:
3 years ago, I bought a orginal MDA Compact from T-Mobile. I didn´t used it a long time, but now I wanna use it again. But now there is a error-code with:
SERIAL/USB
v1.00
I don´t think, that I have the vario version of my MDA. I don´t know.. Because this, I have uploadet some photos. Sometimes, the Cell-Phone shut down after
few time, when I don´t hit the touchscreen or something. Then I can start it and configure it. But when it loads Windows-Files, it shutdown with a high "piep".
Can anybody help me? If you send me a tutorial for this cell-phone, it is enough.. I just need help!

PS: Hard- and SoftReset doesn´t work. If I press "Camera + Off + Reset-Button", the screen just loose the colour and the same comes again(Serial or USB).

Hey.
I've recently found a load of old phones in my loft, one of which is a old T-mobile MDA comapct.
Trying to turn it on, all i get is a screen saying:
Serial
v 1.00
Can anyone tell me, is the phone screwed??
Or could i find a way to get it working again??
It says in the manual that it ran on Windows Mobile 2003 SE, so returning it to that would be good. But if i could get it to a higher version of windows mobile, that would be awsome!

Read the threads on this page relating to Cotulla's windows mobile 6 upgrade....it seems that it is in bootloader mode and you should just be able to upgrade to the new version following the posts instructions.
hi i wanna know is there any way to change the windows or reset mda vario 2 phone but while mobile phone is turned off....im asking this question cause my mda vario 2 freezed when i wanted to turn it on (i downloaded game for windows mobile and then my phone freezed,i reset it and than he was asking me for my password,and when i would tipe the password the phone will reset it self and he would ask me for password again,and then i put the baterry out and put it in and since then he freezes on the HTC logo when i turn it on)
please help me if you know hot to fic this
