Live contacts tel. numbers

Hi all,
my first post.
When someone calls me, and that phone number belongs to a contact on
my SIM card, I see their name on screen.
I tend to use Windows Live Contacts extensively. (because I can only save
name and number on a SIM card). I don't use Outlook contacts since I had
a computer problem + my phone battery went dead
I can send txt messages, email and instant messages and make calls to my Live contacts just fine.
But if someone from my Live Contacts calls me, I don't see their name on
my screen (only a telephone number).
How can I make the information of my Live Contact appear on screen when
he/she calls me ? (name, picture,...)
Thx

call sms sender

Is there a way to use the unknown sender number or a number inside the sms and to call these numbers without ever adding the sender number to contacts list first, just like in nokia phones
thanks

Android Firewall

aFirewall allows you to configure multi scenes to block different call and SMS at different time. It has following features.
1). You can add black number or white number from call log, SMS log, contacts or add it manually;
2). Multi scenes is supported;
3). You can set Call Block Mode and SMS Block Mode seperately;
4).Support to multi hangup mode. You can forward the blocked calls to voicemail or a non-existing number. And you can set aFirewall to accept and hangup blocked calls to avoid forwarding to voicemail.
5). Prefix wildcard supported;
6). SMS response to blocked call was supported;
7). Password setting is supported;
8). SMS keywords Block is supported;
9). Export and Import of black list, white list, settings and blocking record are supported;
10). Complete log for rejected calls/messages;
11). Support to block unknow and private calls.
You can download it from market by searching "afirewall". Thank you.
Since we are on the Topic of a FireWall, I'm sure people will look up something for Internet.
DroidWall is the app name and its free on the Market.
If you don't have a data plan like me, this is the best thing if you are tired of using APN droid when you want to enable MMS, just go to whitelist and select Messages. Thats it!
I haven't seen any glitches in the app or crashes.
what kind of block modes do you have?
busy, shut down, out of service?

Cannot receive short code SMS

Hi,
I bought a Dazen Coolpad F2 8675-W00 phone with Android 4.4.4 on it and found I'm not able to receive any SMS sent by short code numbers, e.g., my bank sends me OTP codes using short code SMS. I don't have any problem receiving SMS from normal mobile numbers. And when I put the same SIM card in another phone, I don't have this issue.
I installed Google Messenger and set it as the deafult SMS app but still it is the system's SMS app (no longer the deafult SMS app) which gets notified when a new SMS arrives. There's still no chance to receive any short code SMS.
After some debugging, I listed SMS receivers on my phone (Google Messenger uninstalled):
com.android.mms.transaction.PrivilegedSmsReceiver, priority = 2147483647
com.yulong.android.security.blacklist.receiver.InComingSmsReceiver, priority = 2147483647
com.yulong.android.antitheft.deamon.relative.SmsRelativeReceiver, priority = 2147483647
com.yulong.android.security.ui.application.SecurityBootReceiver, priority = 0
com.google.android.gms.icing.proxy.SmsMonitor, priority = 0
My guess is either the 2nd or the 3rd receiver blocks short code SMS and calls abortBroadcast(). Any ides how I can investigate the issue further?
Many thanks,
Tom
