Hi guys,
What do you think the best option for me is for upgrading my phone? I currently have a Samsung Wave and the most important things for me are multimedia, the quality of audio playback and video playback (ideally without conversion but not a necessity).
Also, I do like a tinker! Would the HD2 be a good option due to it running WM, and Android ports, and potentially Windows Phone 7 eventually?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

with galaxy S in the mix, it wins , but between x10 and HD2, the HD2 wins for Modability.
Any opinions on multimedia and audio quality?
I assume the HD2 comes last here, with the Galaxy S and X10 doing best?
Anyone have any opinions on the HD2 Android ports and how quick and stable they now are?
Hi Guys.
I recently bought a HTC Desire S, and is pretty thrilled about it, meaning both the android OS, and the HTC Sense UI.
But - HTC Sense doesn't support ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec), which sucks for me bigtime, as I think the Sense-music player is as good as it gets, pretty much. And, since much of my music is in that format.
I also use HTC Sync to put music on my device, which is pretty smooth because of the iTunes-playlist support.
I know there is a bunch of other players on the market (currently using poweramp), that could solve my problem, but I would prefer using the Sense-musicplayer, because of it's simplicity and smooth UI.
In other words, please don't just advise me to use another app, since I'm already aware they're available
My question is then;
Is there a way to get HTC Sense to support ALAC-playback??

If you don't want stupid comments, then don't make stupid posts.
If you don't want your posts called stupid, don't call others' comments stupid.
Your request frankly doesn't make any sense. iOS and Android are completely different platforms. It would be like driving a Ford and saying you would like the dashboard from a Toyota. If you want a Toyota Dashboard, you're going to need to buy a Toyota. You could ask if anyone knows of an Android music player that has specific attributes of the iOS music player, but you cannot ask for the iOS music player for your Galaxy Tab. It just doesn't make any sense.
This sounds like one of the many ignorant question my dad asks me sometimes...
"Hey how about installing Microsoft office 2011 on your tab, that would rock"
Yeah ... it would... but dad the tab has another kind of file system... not to mention operating system...

Ok, buy an iPod Touch!
And it isn't a stupid comment either - if you want the iOS Music Player, you need a device that runs iOS. Simples!

UPDATE: Only because I felt i was being a little mean to Mino1999.
we are all here to help each other.
I think mino1999 thinks because there are apps that run cross platform for the iPhone and Android it may be an app that mino1999 thinks the iphone is running the music player app so therefore there may be the possibility that it can run both on Android and iOS.

If you want something like iOs player get the TTPod apk somewhere and you will have something similar of what you searching.

Try btunes from the its kindda like iphone player but not exactly.(i do not know if its compatible with galaxy tab cuz im a p500 user) A ditto copy of iphone music is availble on ihero rom but unfortunately that rom is for lg p500 and is not stable enough to use.
P.s relax guys of course an app from iphone wont work on android and considering the laws of common sense he definately wanted a "COPY" of music player on ios.
I use winamp( free) and itunes sync to sync my itunes playlists to my galaxy tab.

I guys I'm planning to buy this device. I want to get this phone for the audio. Has any one listened to 320kbps mp3 vs flacc other lossless compression audio? Do they sound different on this device? Most of the smartphones play flac like regular mp3. Please help me here thank you. Also since the source codes are out I will try my best to build an AOSP Rom(if I get this device in the near future).
Htc has one of the best dac in the market. Better audio quality than almost all smartphones. Don't worry about it.
