Sorry for lame quesrtions! I was wondering is it possible just to upgrade device for german language to english and automatically unlock the device? Is the unlocking easy and 100%? I don't wish to buy something that i won't be able to unlock.
have you ever heard of a forum search?
It may be a not-so kind rply, but i am afraid that it is true. There is an all in one unlocker detailed in the wiki/posted sticky in the upgrading, modifying,unlocking forum, and the changing of language has been mentioned many a time aswell.

I want to upgrade the operating system from 5 to 6, but all o2 shops don't wanna know.
14 months old so out of warranty.

Basically you need to read the topics on this forum and fully understand them before you even think of doing something to your xda..
First you need to figure out whether you have a G3 or G4 model, you can find out here
If you have a G4 then you're not in deep ****, but it might be a little difficult..
After that, here's a good tutorial on flashing: clickie
If you don't have a clue about anything in these topics, it'd be best to find someone who can, otherwise you'll probably end up with a bricked phone.

Read, read, read. You should know what you do before doing anything (or you may change your Wizard into an expensive paperweight).
Though when you learn it, it is quite easy. I have CID locked G4 and I changed ROM many times using shelltools (less elegant than SoftSPL/HardSPL solutions, but more safer).

Hey ! It's not a big deal,if 100/1000 have done it,so can you,just read all the stickies on unlocking and upgrading carefully a couple of times,let it all sink in and when comfortable ,GO for it.

The best unlocker I have found is: Olipro.
You will also need a modern Hard SPL: jockyw2001
If your future ROM does not include a radio: AllTheWay
As an alternative, you can find it yourself.

Hi guys I'm new here, sorry if i may have posted in the wrong section but i do feel it's the most appropriate. And i did read the rules about making a new topic as well.
Anyway I just got my Touch Pro today and having problem with changing the language. My dad bought it for me from Taiwan and I can read mandarin/chinese fine but i prefer to be in english.
I did some Google search and apparently you can't change the language of the phone due to the rom or something?? I think it's stupid coz every fone i owned be4 can change languages. In fact, this is the first time i've seen and used a fone that doesn't let u change the language and it's quite disappointing.
Anyway, I still wanna use chinese when i type, but i mainly want english overall. Is there a way to keep both??
If it's not possible, can someone please show me how to change it to full english then?

you will need to flash your pro with an english Rom.
before you do i suggest you search the forums more
to start goto:

then select any rom according to your phone (GSM or CDMA) so do lots of search and reading first that is my advise to you and good luck.

Ok it seems that if your phone doesn't have a sim card slot, it's CDMA, but some other guy told me that his phone is CDMA but has a sim card slot, so what's going on??

Chevron can only be used on Windows Phone 7 versions before NoDo. Chevron does not work from Nodo and beyond (including Mango). There are ways around this though.
A quick search would have provided you with this answer, and will also provide you with ways around not being able to use Chevron post-NoDo.

There are guides available, and they can be found in the stickied threads throughout the Windows Phone 7 forums.
You always look at the stickied posts for the most important information first, and if its not there, do a search, then look through the past couple pages of threads because typically, your question has probably been asked another 3 times before because other people don't read, and if all else fails, then post a new thread.
yeah its what i been doing, tbh its a lack of knowledge and understanding on my part ive come from droid and now i got mango, nodo, chevrons, sherberts and things thrown at me and im a bit erm ok erm where do i start - i posted a question on it think im more lost on android forums feel very central on here - pick your model thats your new home. wp7 feels very split up - thats my opinion anyway lol
I have some phones i am looking to unlock and i haven't seen any posts about unlock websites. My question to all of you XDA members is: Whats the best paid (or free! lol) phone unlocking website? i know this is a matter of opinion really, but i would just like some input i'm new to this. So any information about this would be appreciated, from what I've read it seems fairly easy.
