Hi
I don't know if this is going to work, but hey, it is worth a try. Grab the latest Wizard2BA rom from here:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Blueangel/wm5_test/wizard2ba_v2a_test.rar
Now, extract it and go into the EXTROM folder, copy Default_SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed.CAB to your device, and install it. After then, turn off your device for a few secs then do a soft reset. This _might_ work. If, not then do the following. Install "New menu for WM5" (you can get it from this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40088&start=0). You don't even have to use this application if you don't want it, but it installs some files that might be required for smart dial. Good luck, hope it works.
P.S: If it works, donate that $40 to XDA-developers

I was wondering if anyone (especially comming from a K-Jam) noticed this software missing .....Phone Pad T9 Input method was not there... I resolved this by downloading it from another post on the forum and installing it on the handheld (the file is called PhonePad_T9_Atom.CAB)...
However, it's the same version 1.0, but a much older build (18526) than the one present on the K-Jam... and just does not work very well... sometimes after soft resets it just won't funciton anymore and I have to resort to uniitall it, and then reinstall again.... and even then sometimes it won't work....
It also seems to have a real bad drain effect on the storage memory for some reason.....
I really don't understand why HTC did not pre-install it on the Tytn, especially since it's one of their applications!! It's so useful!
Anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know where I can download a more recent build, for example the one that is shipped with the i-Mate K-Jam (Wizard)?
If anyone could help it would REALLY be apprecited... thanks....

PhonePad_WM5_StrongARM.cab
alrighty... registry, then... give it a try...
Code:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Intellipad\Languages = N (DWORD decimal)
Where N =
0 = English
1 = German
2 = French
3 = Italian
4 = Spanish
5 = Portuguese
6 = Czech
8 = Dutch
17 = Turkish
Your device *may* have other languages and/or other codes. It's easy to check what it get set to if you have a util to switch tasks: adjust the registry, go to the SIP settings and click the Options button. If it's not the one you wanted, close the Options dialog. Adjust registry, switch back to SIP settings, click the Options button. If it's not the one you wanted, etc.
On my TyTN .. it's ok with italian language (t9italian) and PhonePad_Atom_WWE.cab!!!
i'm sorry..

Actually the files are different in WM5 PKU2 and above. so the earlier intellipad will not work. Also found out that the new intellipad actually runs as a service in the new WM5.
here's what i have extracted. but still pretty messy. Just copy all the files to your PPC windows directory except the .reg files. then in the explorer, just double-click on all the registry files. the name of the intellipad is called Phone Pad.
hi
sorry can you explain this??
I have to install the cab from dborello?
and than I have to replace all DLL and reg date with the Phone pad Prog from dborello????
questions!
Where have I save the DLL'S?
Can I save the 3 reg data in my SD card?
Than I have to double clic on it?
And this was all?
works the Phone Pad in German?

Indio,
Did you ever get the Phone Pad working on your TyTyn?? If so - would you let me in on the secret....
Anyone find this application yet?
It does exist
http://www.blackberry.com/uk/produc...owsmobile.shtml
Link isn't valid anymore. However I know the Blackberry website has shown connect software for quite some time. I have yet to see it for a Smartphone however I know some people got it up and running on thier Wizards.
I am hoping someone find the bb connect for this device, especially since HTC has a track record for releasing a client for their devices. I have not seen BB connect for any wm5 smartphone device yet. I don't think it exists.
I saw a screen shot on the RIM site...but cannot find the app for WM5 smartphone...have found it for WM5 pocket pc...but that will not install on smartphone.
Here is the original BB Connect cab file for WM 2003 on S. Africa provider, Vodacomm
It would only install on a Moto MPx220 device running WM 2003 and gave a uncertified device error when I tried it on any other device. Any programmers out there want to give it a shot and change the cab file so it does not require a particular device to install on? I never did get it to work on my Cingular provided MPx220, but perhaps there was an app lock issue I wasn't aware of. I've learned a lot in the last few years about WM issues. If anyone would like to take this Cab apart with an app like CabWiz and rebuild it, we could all try this out on a WM 5.0 device, and see if we could get it to work.
OK, I've put in a request to RIM
Let's see what I hear back on this. Anyone else have any update, please post here, or at least link to another forum if there is a client discovered, etc.

Any updates on this? Would love to see this device with blackberry connect...
I was told by RIM that it was coming out this month for the Excaliber
Well, I was holding my breath, but I heard it is now released on the Dopod version, the C720, in Asia. This is huge. It shouldn't be long before we can pull that app off the Dopod ROM and use on any Dash, S620, or other HTC Excaliber model! If anyone has any updates, or gets their hands on this Dopod ROM, please post it here.

Super excited now
I recently got a TMobile DASH and waiting for simunlock code from the carrier. I can unlock it now and put BBConnect and use it with Cingular....Super!!
Can't wait, please someone upload it....
Alright everyone, I finally got it. Enjoy!!! Please try and let me know if it works, I hope we don't need a special rom. If this works, I am running out and getting a dash
It works on stock T-Mobile DASH ROM....I didn't even do app unlock...All I did was Sim unlock for Cingular service.

Got BBConnect installed on my imate smartflip successfully, but PIN is stuck at "Pending". Does anyone have any idea what I have to do now?
Please help!!!
Got it installed on my Blackjack with no problems but alas, I have the Pending pin. There is a BB Connect dekstop software out there that will generate a pin for a bis account but I cant seem to find it. I even tried my Treo 750 desktop dsoftware but it wont work. We need a dekstop Software to generate the pin.
The desktop software doesn't generate PIN. It isn't even connecting with my phone....so mad....
I got it working on my palm 750v without the desktop software btw....not sure what I did and loved it.
Uh, Senna 174, I saw you in the Blackberryforums as a new member asking for this Activesync Blackberry configuration tool. So yes it does generate it. Research your infor before posting information grasshoppa.
SP,
Perhaps you can show me how to get it done then.
I installed the software and connect the phone, then I got an unsuccessful connection error. I think the software is running (How do I verify it?) and it is connected to the desktop.
I wouldn't be asking questions if I had all the answers.
Works with Croatian BIS and BES services by both operators!!!
PIN generated, it's enough..
Hi,
I want to do a complete upgrade on my T-Mobile MDA (US) to WM6. I want to be able to keep all of the T-Mobile features (Email, HotSpot, GPRS/EDGE, etc) and have all of the new WM6 features. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
you want to have your cake and eat it too.
Reading is fundamental. But the Search button is your friend. All the info you need is located in this forum. Don't expect handouts if your not willing to work.
I understand what he's getting at so don't flame, as some of these programs are actually built into the ROM, and may not be WM6 compatible. They also have at least one program and several icons placed by the extended ROM, so if you have a G4, you may be SOL if you use the IM program. Heck I'm going to be working on the same thing over the next three weeks, since I am a t-mobile customer back in the states. I've already managed to get two of the t-mob WWE AKU 3.3 OEM working (damn that's a lot of adjectives). I'll try to keep you up on my progress, but this is going to be slow going for the meantime.

Save off your EXT Rom. You can reinstall these apps after your flash (provided all work in WM6)
As for your GPRS/EDGE and MMS you can use the cabs from your EXT Rom or you can enter the settings manually from the T-Mobile website.
Details on how to do these things are all over this forum. You need to read. Most likely you do not NEED WM6 you just WANT it. You need to determine if your want justifies the cost of replacing your device if you don't research properly before jumping in with both feet and mess it up. Do you know if your device is a G3 or G4 yet? If not read, read, read. There is no need for people to give you step by step instructions in your thread as there are already step by step instructions in the STICKY threads (you have read these, right?).
i have a program that allows u to mount the extended rom, then u can access the ext rom from file explorer and copy it to the mini sd. its attached as htweakc. also, i attached the t-mobile ozim instant messaging program. good luck
.:Nstefanelli:.
Thank you!
I appreciate everyone's feedback.
nstefanelli, thank you for attaching those files for me. I'm going to try them out this weekend.
I'll let everyone know how it goes.
T-Mobile Hotspot App
Hi,
On a related matter, does anyone have the T-Mobile Hotspot app handy? Do I need to install it into my non-TMobile Hermes if I want to subscrible to TMobile and use their Hotspots?
Kind regards,

I could'nt get that working either.
The easiest way is to use SjPhone client. The interface is a bit dated but it works. Another option is Sling, but its sound quality is atrocious, although the interface is better.
Not familiar with "sling" could you plz pass me a link? thnxs

No, mine is a Dopod U1000. Voip should be the same on all WM6 devices.
Sorry , it is Fring, not Sling. lol, what was I thinking?

I have also got a Ameo 16G from T-Mobile Germany. You dont want to install an extra program, because WM6 support VOIP according to Microsoft. If you cannot find the function, just because the device producer has bloced it. I have installed a plugin for SIP setting, it was called destr0_VOIP_WM61___SIP_Config.cab, if you cannot find it, pm me your email address, I can send it to you.

I had tried this before but it never worked for me. I think it may work for extremely limited ISP.
Are you able to make call with it and have good voice quality at both ends?
I have tested it on WIFI, it can work on my x7510. Afer installation, there is a new program named sip config tool in your programs, there you should input SIP informations, such as SIP server user name password, next step you can find a new window at the telephone setting named internet, here you can choose when to use VOIP. But I do think, the voice quality of the VOIP can not make me satisfied.
if you install Skype for PPE, it automatically does VOIP, either WiFi or 3G
I now use AGEphone mobile, which has good skin, user interface, and voice quality.
works great

My choices are this:
Sell it for $200
Find a way to tether it...
Tried some of the internet sharing cabs and such I had laying around form other ROMs, nothing worked. I also have a Touch Pro, so this phone really is just a spare, but its almost worthless to me without tethering...
Help me?
I got mine to tether using the QPST tool to change the modem connection username setting from [email protected] to [email protected]
Let me know if you need further instructions.
Cheers
