I'm following the Magician ROM upgrade procedure in the wiki page to upgrade my O2 XDA mini. When I run the MaUpgradeUt_noID program the following error message appeared:
ERROR 150 ROM UPGRADE UTILITY ERROR
Anyone know how to resolve this problem.

Hi,
I searched this forum, but I couldn't find a solution for my update problem. I tried several times to update my German MDAc with this file:

The problem is I get always the Country ID error 120. I tried the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and the cracked one. With this programs I just get a different error message/number. I tried also various other things: I did the [CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1 modification to RUU.conf, I disabled McAfee, I did a hard reset first etc.
Does anybody have a clue what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,
I got this error as well, just make sure your USB connection is enabled in ActiveSync and then run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe. When you get the error about the country code simply close the program and re-run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and this time round you should'nt get the error.

that's what I've done! But the second time I get a different error. Sorry I can't remember it exactly, but I think it was something like wrong device or so. If this is important to solve the case, I will re-run it and post the message.

Hi guys,
When i run the upgrade utility program either for wm2005 or the upgrade off o2 website im getting an "error 100 :model id error" i have noticed that once my device goes into usb mode the activesync disconnects, i have checked all settings in activesync and they seem ok, i have no problems with sending and recieving information other than when i run the upgrade utility program.
The instructions that came with helmis rom upgrade say to put the file extrom on mem card, but the instructions in wiki dont mention this which leaves me totaly confused on the matter,
I have been reading wiki for a solid week now so have done plenty of research.
Any help appreciated guys.

model id error sounds like a rom for a different device (?)
active sync will disconnect, ruu has to be able to work without it, for example from bootloader screen.
however that's all I know, you don't give any details for a more experienced person to help, what's a helmis? blue angel? try posting in the blue angel upgrade forum, where did you get the rom from etc

I was able to install Faria's ROM on my Wizard but now i'm having some problems:
1 - I still have to watch that ugly bootscreen
(by the way, are those version numbers "right"?)
2 - Every time i reboot it i get this error about sddaemon

4 - As you can see on the previous photo, the memory is running low and so I everytime i try to syncronize with ActiveSync 4.5 (Beta2) i get this

Ok 1. Are you CID unlocked, cus if you are not then the rom may not take correctly. It would be better if you had IPL/SPL at 2.26
Download and downgrade to the USA T-Mobile 2.26 rom. (At work so no time to find this for you, if you have not got it by the imte i get home i will update with a link)
Then try upgrading again to the WM6 rom, you may find that will sort all your problems!
The rom you should be able to find

Did you flash with shell tool? I think that you have no extended rom flashed, only OS.
As far as the error - your item 2...

DON'T use the 2.26 rom.... u've got a G4 and can't update IPL/SPL!
I downloaded this ROM

and tried to flash it but when it starts (the PPC screen turns red,green,blue) it gives me an error msg on the PC saying "ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDER ID"
(this PPC came from UK)
I tried to use the mun_rus How To with this ROM but apparently it stayed the same.
From the UK T-Mobile i can only find this http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/download_manager_mda_vario.html
but i think this is what a I have now running.
Ideas???

As for the Extended Rom i followed this:

Problems Aswell
Sorry if this has been mentioned many atime before but my rom is like really slow sometimes and most of the time on the today screen only the time/date is shown and no other items. Also when turning on the device sometimes it doesnt get pass the boot screen (green one) and is resolved by taking the battery out which is annoying. Someone said by putting the orginal factory rom then installing farias rom then it will improve - tried that same thing. And outlook wont let me change email type from plain text to html.
Anybody Know???

I just did the SAME upgrade you did and I am getting the same
timewizard.exe popup!
however, my rom upgrade went ok , about the only thing different is I restored a backup including my registry to get all my programs back.
I have EVERYTHING working on wm6 with faria except for the annoying
popup.
have you been able to get ride of it?

Is that a WM5 backup you restored? WM6 has stuff in the registry in different places. You've probably added a bunch of keys that shouldn't be there, and in the wrong place.
Also, WM6 PIM database is different format. If you restored that, its likely thats been hosed too.
Have a problem with unlocking my new G3 device (never had problems with the old one until it died ). When trying to downgrade/unlockcid using downgrade_and_unlockcid_v01 utility after executing dowgrade.bat I get following message: "could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, may be it is in use?"
tried to solve the problem by running SDA_ApplicationUnlock before trying to downgrade but still nothing. Dear Guru, please tell me, where the problem might be?

Firstly i was trying to update from WM 6.0 to 6.1 but i didnt manage it..
after several times i decided to update to HTC HERALD UPDATE TylerC161 Wing Kit its like new skin but i damaged everything..
So when decided install, and installation was happening i touched the screen (in the rules was written dont touch the screen during installation) and i guess because of it i damaged the my windows...
What can i do now?
Now i have just HTC letters shining on my screen then it is starting and nothing happends..
If im trying to run new ROM from bootloader on 3 % i have an error
("ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility"
And EXIT.)
and i think it is becouse of CID locked, my phone came from Turkey and its written on him Turkcell..
What can i do ?

Maybe it is possible to unlock cid code from bootloader.exe ? without ACTIVESYNC?
