camera spots and specles

hello all. I recently upgraded to the imate 1.12.00 wwe rom from this beloved site. Unfortunatley i didn't know it was the imate one. I read the upgrading t-mobile mda rom post and followed blindly. Now i have a camera with the spots and specles, no mms no gprs and a terrible audio quality. Any way i can revert to either and updated T-mobile rom or the old tmobile rom. Many thanks in advance. I have an t-mobile mda compact pm10a.

install the mms cab for the mms and install your operator settings
as regards to the camara I am trying to figure it out myself , I upgraded my mates m500 with the imate rom and installed the same patches i think but his cam is great mine is speckled , i am at a loss i am sure iv installed the cam patches (build 19194)

i have installed the gprs settings from the website yet i when u dial up i get this response, the answering modem you has disconnected.

best thing is to do a search for
orange AND gprs
get the accesspoint and login pass and such
and manualy set it up in connections
the settings should be the same on 2005 as it were on any other rom

Faria rom: how do i keep my gprs connected all the time?

i want to keep it constant on, like i had on wm5.

Start - Settings - System - registry wizard - tweaks3 -GPRS Always ON

that eliminates most of the reconnects but not all of them.

i'm using a tracking software and to get the LAC and the CID for the cell that i'm into the connection has to drop. when i used faria's AKU3.3 with crossbow icons i used that tweak and it worked on WM6 doesn't

It depends on what radio you are using. The only radio that I know of that will not cause GPRS connection issues is 2.19. Anything higher than that has problems reconnecting to GPRS if you lose signal.
The problem is that 2.19 doesn't have coverage as good as the other radios. Someone is working on a fix for the 2.61 radio stack with Faria. the thread is over in the Wizard upgrading forum.

I have 2.61 Radio ROM and no Problem. Imedeatelly I disconnect phonecall, GPRS is reconnecting. Very fast. German T-Mobile settings. And no problem. Using octratalk and have no problems beeing connected to googletalk, icq and msn.

You are lucky then. It seems most people trying to run 2.61 on any of the WM6 ROMs have issues. I put it on MBE version and immediately had missed calls and SMS message (yes, coverage was excellent, and very quick to acquire GPRS connection and all, but calls would go straight to VM for no reason one time, and come through the next). Never had this issue with 2.61 on AKU 3.3 or stock 2.25 ROMs.
I also put it on Faria's WM6 ROM and had a similar experience. Not even trying 2.61 on the mUn ROM.

[DATA Connection] Internet Working but no mail nor msn

Fisrt of all I'd like to thank you for that great website which has been very helpful for my entrance in windows mobile world
I've got a SFR HTC S710 flashed to Dr Gonzo latest ROM (running on bouygues telecom network). Everything is working great:
Calls
MMS
Internet Explorer Browsing
But I've got a strange issue: I can't use MSN messenger or donwload mails using Edge or GPRS. It always times out and ask for me to check if I'm under cover of data connection.
I've been using HTC auto config script to set the data connection up. And I can ensure i've got the right contract which allow me to do that
What I'm trying to figureout is:
Is it phone related ?
Is it a bug related to the RADIO version ?
Am I missing something in the configuration ?
Network limitation ?
MSN and mail have been tested and working ok with Wifi connectivity enabled.

Protocol 25.74.40.02W Howto get rid of it?

Hey Folks,
I use Duttys Hybrid v2 (dutty i salute you) and got this Protocol Version : 25.74.40.02W. I remeber that i had a protocol version without W before various flashings but I cant figure out where i 'lost' it... But i need my old one back!
Why?
I cant get a 3G connection. From what i found here is the reason for this problem my Protocol version.
W means GSM (900/1800/1900) and UMTS (2100 anly)
H means GSM (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) and UMTS (850/1900/2100Mhz)
I think that i need a protocol version with H or maybe even without any letter (like my original one was)
How can i do this?
I tried to flash some Radios like Niki, Polaris etc. but the Protocol Version stays the same....

seems to me like the radio islocked or something. cause even when i tried to flash back to duttys FIRST hybrid release the kaiser stared to add a letter to the Protocol version which he never did when i used the hybrid v1 back in the day

Can you select Start->Settings->System->Device Information.
Then note and post the radio version, and we'll see who can help. You may have the 'radio from hell' flashed.

Atm i flashed to the shipped HTC

Hey ckain,
in your first reply you said that you have flashed a wrong protocol into your Kaiser. "I use Duttys Hybrid v2 (dutty i salute you) and got this Protocol Version : 25.74.40.02W"

With te "H"...

Could it be that you don't see the 3G icon in the upper taskbar like the original taskbar does...?!

Yea i flashed from duttys v2 (with W) to the german shipped HTC original with a H.
With both versions i am not able to connect to 3G networks. I see the symbol but i have to disable 3G in commanager to get a connection established, which of course hasnt the 3G speed.
My UMTS sim card is working in other phones with 3G.
Correct me if i am wrong but i remember that protocol versions normally looked like 25.83.40.02. without W, H or any other letters?!

Well on my Kaiser I don't get the 3G icon. But my HSDPA icon is still running...
So on that approuch I think that if it could connect to HSDPA you also can connect to 3G.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
EDIT: Also when I'm going to the setting, Start-->Settings-->Connections-->Connections, and want to change my T-Mobile Internet settings it says that he will make contact with a GPRS, 3G connection...

Are you able to place voice calls while on 3G, and if not see here.....
