 If you like it, BUY IT!
I tried it, but I'm not paying $15 for it. Rather just keep the few notes that I have (and rarely edit) in Text files, and use a free text viewer.
MS, why wasn't it built in

To bad smartphone notes doesn't sync my SPV C600 with my Outlook
It did with my SPV C500... ...why MS.. ..why

The trial SPN synced with outlook fine for me.

well, the documentation that comes with your pda says so, with a lot of pictures for those who cannot read.

Does anybody knows if microsoft is working on this issue or simply they want that we pay for Outlook?
I can't belive that they don't let us use the built-in calendar/contact!
Any third-part software?
It is meaningless!
Allmost all PDAs that are being sold on the planet comes with version of Microsoft Outlook so no need to buy it!
And Yes it is very sad that you can't sync with Vista's internal programs! They are wey easier to use!

Mine is Outlook 2002!
I don't think it will run on Vista.. But even if it runs.. I can't understand why i have to install that USELESS (and bloatware..) software!
I would use Vista becuse, as you said, it's much more easy!
So why have i instal Outlook (old version) if there is a "mini" (???) outlook built-in?
i guess they consider people who buy this kind of device would actually not care much for price or for outlook since outlook is standard for evey office out there.. have you ever seen a business rely on whatever comes with windows and not ms office? anyway i agree with all of you, there should be some way or 3rd party app that syncs regular windows stuff..
ms is never money satisfied!

LOL
So, why they make a camera phone? Businessman can buy 10 megapixel camera.
Why they make pocket pc? Businessman can buy UMTC!
So, sorry, but i can not agree on this theory.
We have a good PIM on Vista. What I ask is to USE IT.
So, is there anyone who knows something about this issue?
Any from the betatesters?
The problem is that Vista was released prior to WM6
The solution is:

Yes i know.. but we can read:
Microsoft® Outlook® 2003 and Microsoft® Outlook® 2007 messaging and collaboration clients are required for synchronization of e-mail, contacts, tasks and notes to a Personal Computer.

So we can understand that:
-Microsoft don't care about calendar.. LOL
-"Allmost all PDAs that are being sold on the planet comes with version of Microsoft Outlook" but it is too old, it wold not run on Vista (Microsoft says it, not me).
So, i repeat: anyone knows if Microsoft is working on sync between PDA and Vista PIM?
Is there a mail, a forum, where i could ask this simply question to Microsoft?
Thank you.

looking for WM5 Instant Messaging program cab

I used Agile but it was only the trial and no matter what, it wouldn't let me continue. I really liked the IM program from WM5 and I was looking to see if someone had the cab file of it. Thanks
bump
Agile and IM+ are a no go
What IM program from WM5 do you mean? MSN messenger? There are no any built-in IM program for ICQ in WM5 at all.
If you need free icq client try Prelude 0.5.5, it work fine.
Well there is the built in one that gives you the option of using AIM, YAHOO and ICQ and I am mostly interested in the AIM part of it, but I was seeing if there was a cab of that actual built in application that I can load onto wm6
have u test FRING?

look a great app.

I've just made this cab from a WM5 ROM. I don't have the time to test it right now. Looking forward to your comments...

I get an Installation was unsuccessful error right away.
I've just installed it successfully. No installation errors at all. But when I try to sign-in to MSN Messenger, I get "Sign-in to MSN Messenger Service is not responding. Try again later.". Windows Live Mobile Messenger is able to connect without any problem. So, there must be something missing from the cab. Any ideas???
I'm still looking for a suitable program that runs aol instant messenger. All the other ones I have tried are trials and will not run on my phone anymore. Can anybody upload the WM5 instant messenger app?
give Palringo a shot.

It doesn't start on my WM6.0
I'm looking for PocketMSN_WM5 too cuz Pocket Live messenger on WM6 sucks.
I counted 19 steps to change from one profile to another.

Contact manager a la Outlook

Everywhere I see I keep finding references to Outlook when I want to edit contacts through my computer instead of through my PPC (it's a seriously painful job at times... ><).
I have no interest in buying the entire damned Outlook/Office suite for this little thing, and OpenOffice covers everything I need otherwise. Does this exist?
Outlook is an awesome app period. I got '07 version (only one on shelves) for about $70. Not to mention it will also be your main point for calender, tasks, notes, contacts, and if you want mail (kind of pointless if you have the unlimited data plan) Or just find a contact manager app for your PPC that you like, you don't have to purchase the entire office suite.
I'm still not keen on getting Outlook. Costly, unnecessary since I have everything I need in other programs or services. All I need is a way to manage contacts like I can do in Outlook (through Activesync), and that's what I'm looking for, but can't find.
Does it exist?
may try jeyo mobile companion.
its a desktop tool to work with your PPC for SMS and contacts.
Im using Mozilla Thunderbird and Birdiesync, if you install the Lightning-Addon for Thunderbird you can even sync your Calendar.

Now this looks interesting. Thanks to both of you for great suggestions!
If there's a free something out there that'd be even better

Is it so difficult to sync SMS?

I know about Jayo solution but seems it doesn't work with everybody.
Is it so difficult to sync SMS (and if possible MMS) with Outlook?
Is it THAT hard?
WM should do it anyway, but are there any real working WM6.1 solutions?

Considering the overall status of the WM6.1 synchronisation (it can't even cope with two PCs anymore) I think there is little hope that Microsoft will ever include SMS sync in the WM features.

Its another one of those MS "We'll get to it soon" requests...
I use Jeyo and so long as you use Office 2007 it works fine. Its' flakey with anything earlier though.
Try the trial version.
will do - a friend didn't get lucky though (with Office 2007)

You may be lucky!
Used it myself on three different PC's with Wizard, Kaiser and now Touch Pro so WM5.0, 6.0 and 6.1.
If you read the FAQ on their support forum http://www.jeyo.com/forums.asp?forum=0 it gives tips for setting up.
hmmm
i can sync with 2 pc...makes troubles and double entries thou
jeyo works by me too, with some error messages :-/
so no OTHER solution?
is it the only one?
I though WM was the OS of choices (and it is, the last sever years I use it)
btw, I don't think Jeyo maintain their programs any more (just visit their forum and see)

sms in Outlook

hy,
is there a way to become my sms in outlook?
I dont will send and receive sms from Outlook, only save there in Outlook2003
By
Lübby
is there no way?
there is Jeyo Mobile Extender, but it's not a freeware
hm, that where is. But at the moment i dont have money to buy that.
No freeware of so?
Sorry for the bump guys but I figured I'd rather bump then make a new thread.
I'm looking for a app which allows me to manage sms messages from Microsoft Outlook (send, delete, store etc) as well. Using a HTC Touch Pro 2 with WM6.1
Now is there some freeware app which allows you to achieve this? Or is Jeyo the only way out?
Appologies if this is in the wrong topic/forum!
There is a way...
Try this:
