Guys, I am a newbie and really need your help here.
I have problem with my O2 Connect Application. Everytime I run this application it keep saying "02 Connect application is designed for O2 devices, which can't run on other devices". I think my device is an O2 device. Why this message always appear instead of running the O2 Connect application?
if you have 2005 then you dont have an official o2 rom
in which case the program cant tell that you have an o2 phone
You mean WM2005? Still Looking for it, mine is still WM2003. It's funny that other O2 that I found all have O2 Connect on it and 'working good'.

I have an Alpine (XDA IIi) and an ericsson T39m mobile phone. Both of these devices are bluetooth enabled. I want to know how I may use my PPC to act as a headset so that I can have a telphone coversations that is piped through the T39m.
Why: because I bought my PPC in the UK and when I am in turkey (where I work) its IMEI is locked but my t39m works there. I manage to pipe GPRS via bluetooth dial-up networking going but only if I can get the phone piping too.
Why not use the HTC IMEI changer available on the forums to change your alpine's IMEI to your T39's IMEI?
That way you can scrap your T39 and just use the alpine.

mine is an Alpine. I do not know why it did not work on my PDA. May be I did not do it right but I tell you I spent months on this. If you can give me a little help of pointer as to how to do this on Apline I will appreciate it.

I wonder if anyone has been able to use the vox/ htc e650 as a modem with a palm pda.
I used to use my spv c550 and old e200 with a T3 no problems at all, both with infrared and with bluetooth.
I can pair my e650 and send files to/from the devices but no amount of fiddling with the connections work to enable dial up gprs.(*99# on orange node)
I worked out how to set this up on the older spvs when I worked for orange so they could update their internal pages when people called about this but canoot get it working on vox models.
I have tried setting generic gsm phone or universal phone driver which worked on my old spv so am guessing that something has been changed in the way it uses modem drivers or windows mobile.
Can anyone help ?

it seems I found the answer after looking thru the forums.
Discovered the cab that allows DUN via bluetooth instead of the pan internet sharing which I don't thing the palm supports anyway.
One thing I noticed is that there is nothing on the phone to indicate a connection is in progress.
On previous spv phones and ipaq I has 2 arrowa to show data connection was made.
Is this usual on vox or just a quirk of the dun workaround ?

I m a newbee to these forums... I found it very helpfrul.
I have a problem with my Imate Jamin. It had WM5 and it was smooth.. though it was a bit slow... I upgraded the rom to 6.1 from PDAVIET (1c). I love the new one.. amazingly fast and really cute. I noticed the clarity in sound has increased...
But the problem with it is ... it doesnot allow me to share internet with my laptop or PC thru USB. Earlier in wm5, I used "modem link" and it was just fine. After upgrading when I open internet sharing and tap on connect, it says "cannot connect for an unknown reason. To change your connection settings, tap settings"
I can access GPRS on the phone, activesync is working fine. When the laptop is connected to the net, I can access internet in my phone with usb. But there is some bug(?) with the internet sharing through GPRS???
Am I doing something wrong??? Please help

even I also have this same problem of sharing internet from my Jamin to laptop after upgrading it to WM 6.1
Its really nice after upgrading it, only problem is sharing the Net.
What should i do??? pls somebody look after this problem.

Hi just got this phone yesterday , I can't get it to sync with hotmail/windows live doing my head in its runing wm6.1 please help.
Iv noticed i can log on to windows live and hotmail when im connected through wifi but when i connect through gprs it wont connect but IE works fine HELP

I'm trying to set up a vpn connection on my WM 6.1 device, using Giganews' VyprVPN, but I can't seem to make it work at all.
On wifi, it shows as Connected but my IP isn't changed. On 3g, it doesn't connect at all so far (french operator Bouygues)
Has anyone already used this successfully ? It is supposed to be working with WM (PPTP)
