Heya, a question for PocketPC users
I got an Orange SPV M600 (Windows Mobile 5 PocketPC Phone Edition). I have GPRS internet set up, and set to always on so email is automatically checked on the go, and msn is available on the go. The one catch I have is with the stand by mode that the device goes in after it isnt used for a while.
During stand by, the screen turns off, but also applications are frozen, and the device only wakes up on the power button or an incoming call/text.
Both Windows Media Player and GSPlayer can do this thing where the display is turned off, but the CPU and programs continue, and the devices screen only comes back to life after the power button is pressed.
I was hoping there was a way with a program to make the device automatically go into Screen off mode after a period of time, or after power button pressed. Without using Stand by mode. This way I could leave MSN messenger signed in via GPRS all the time without problems.
Hope someone can help
Whenever I was in a call, I used to press the speaker-button to activate the speaker, but ever since I installed the HTC Touch Dialer-skin (and also the O2 plus package) I can press the button, but nothing happens.
I tried holding the answer-buttons, but all that does is put the call on hold...
Can anyone help me please?
I'm using a Blackjack1, and i noticed that when I make a call, and press the hangup key in the middle of the call, it won't hang up
i noticed this with both Windows 6.0 and 6.5.
It's weird. I can hang up the call 1 second after dialing a number. But if i wait any longer than 1 second, it won't let me hang up.
the hangup key works for sure. it will close windows and show the homescreen just as it should.
but i just can't hang up mid-conversation.
what's going on?
do you guys experience the same?
edit: actually, after I press the end key, it will take 10 extra seconds to disconnect the call.
in my old WM6, it hung up immediately.
Hi Friends,
I am facing problem while recording video. Whenever i start recording video it throws error of MIC. that MIC is Being Used by Another App. I have tried everything but couldn't solve it. Please help me
Try booting the phone in safe mode, to see if there is a conflict with an app you've installed.
For safe mode:
Press the Power key for a second or two
Touch and hold Power off
Touch OK when Reboot to safe mode appears
Hi guys,
I noticed a week ago that while listening to a WhatsApp voice message I was unable to change the volume using the volume rocker.
I thought this very strange. Then while in the car listening to a podcast via Bluetooth I noticed the audio would stop, then maybe 5 minutes later start again by itself, then stop again (sometimes for ages) then start again.
I've now noticed that the audio was switching to in call volume ( active and green) during the times the audio stopped. As soon as it decided I wasn't on a call it would then default back to media volume and things would start playing again.
So my bloody phone thinks either a call is coming through or I'm on a call yet neither of these things are true.
Very very very frustrating!
Has anybody experienced this? What could this be and how can it be fixed?
Thanks
Bump

I am still not able to understand your issue clearly but could it be bad proximity sensor?
Thanks for replying.
My phone has "in call volume" active sometimes even though not on a call. When you press the volume rocker on the side it is active (highlighted in blue) when it shouldn't be.
When active it cuts out all other media.
Then sometimes it's normal where in call volume not showing (not active) when you press the volume rocker so I can play media, (media volume shows active when pressing volume rocker) just the way it should be.
It's totally random.
I'd that clearer?
Thanks!

Do you have smart connect installed? In past I have experience something similar while using smart connect.
Like sometime it acts as if headphone is connected when it's not and you don't hear anything when you play media.
I haven't, and I don't know what smart connect is but my issue isn't it thinking headphone connected, it thinks it's on a phone call
