Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition

CPU PXA263 : 125.77Mb memory
VoiP is now available and USB phones are on sale. My PDA connects through USB so is it possible to use it as a VoiP handset?
You can't access the mic/speaker through USB..
Only data transfer as files or sync..
Ah well...it was worth a shot. Thanks for the feedback

My xda neo (Prophet from O2 Germany) with Windows Mobile 5.0 only accepts ActiveSync connections with machines on which ActiveSync 4.1 (or higher) is installed. AS 4.1 requires Windows XP on the other machine.
But I would like the xda neo to connect to my good old Win98SE laptop, too. I was told that ActiveSync 3.7.1 and 3.8 work with Win98SE AND support Windows Mobile 5.0. When trying to instal ActiveSync 3.x on the other machine and connecting to the xda neo, I encountered the RNDIS problem. This was solved after installing usbswitch.exe on the xda neo and disabling the RNDIS protocol.
But still I cannot establish a connection because the xda neo rejects Win98SE-compatible ActiveSync versions.
Can anyone suggest a solution?
For new devices with WM5.0 you must use ActiveSync 4.x, and you can only use Win2k (with SP4 ; and it isn't the best for synchronize), or later. Then with Win98 I don't think it's possible... Sorry.
I have been living with Windows Vista Beta 2 Build 5384 since June. This is an "evoluting version" that is upgraded/improved/corrected from time to time. All in all I should not have done that and stay with XP Pro but I was not sure how to unistall it. However, the Windows Mobile Sync function works well with my HTC prophet (Qtek S200) which is equipped with ROM 2.15.23.27 WME, 3/9/06, Radio version 02.19.21, Protocol version 4.1.13.09, ExtROM version 2.15.13.121. Last week, after a little research, I decide to upgrade with RUU_Prophet_2151327_22113102_022021_Dopod_PDAMobizEdition_v101 though I was not that sure that it was really an upgrade (I was looking for the Push-Email feature). In any event, the upgrade program did not work. I am stuck. It stopped regularly with a code error [202]: Th update utility (V2.5.2) could not connect to the PDA Phone. All comments are welcome
I can only speak for the Blue Angel on this - but I couldn't upgrade it using Vista because Activesync is used for the connection. However, in Vista, Activesync has been replaced and it cannot be installed on Vista. In the end, I got out a spare HDD, dropped it into my pc, installed XP FLP and upgraded using that instead.
RC1 of Vista (Build 5600) is now out to certain testers and I can confirm that Mobile Center is no longer present/doesn't work properly. This is also true of 5536 and 5552. The PDA will show up in Computer and you can browse it - but there was no utility to sync. Activesync can again, not be installed either.
Windows Mobile Device Center
With respect to the Sync function, I recall that the "Windows Mobile Device Center" that has replaced in Windows Vista the ActiveSync 4.1 of the past did not work until I triggered the firewall options. After it worked well though the Notes included in the Contacts (MC Outlook) are not synchronised correctly. Hence, my surprise for the impossibility to upgrade s explained above.
Hello
I'd like to know if there are a software to control my pc via bluetooth with my pocket pc. I'd try to instal puppet master and another shareware like that, but it'doesn't work. I have to install a midlet on my ppc and my ppc say it doesn't work because my phone doesn't support the java (mdip or something like that).
Is-there a solution, another software or have I to instal something else?
Some info:
Rom version: 1.12.02 fre from jam Imate
Radio: 1.12.10
extrom 1.12.125 fre
I use bluesoleil to synchronize my imate with my pc ( i'd try to use the generic driver from microsoft but window's doesn't detect any bluetooth hardware)
Ps is there any way to use the windows generic bluetooth software with my bluetooth dongle?
Thanks
SC
Salling clicker is that app what you need. Just syncronize your PPc to PC, install this soft, configurate it, and use it.
Also you can use pnvct (or smth like that), but it require bluetooth pan, or wlan (IP-adress). Via BT it's realy slow, so I advise you to use Salling Clicker.
Hi there I'm new here...
My question is:
Does this program work through BlueTooth or through the internet?
If it works through the internet, How I do set it up to connect to my pc, as the IP won't do much good... cause there will be 1000000000 of the same IP's used around the world.
Step by step instructions will be greatly appreciated!
YES! I am not too familiar with this SW.
I need something to connect to my office pc through the internet.
For when I'm on the beach, so that I can access my pc at the office.
My Device: HTC S710 Windows Mobile 6 (Windows CE) OS.
Thanx.
I have a Pluscom 54Mb Wifi SDIO card that is not supported under WM6. I have had brief comms with the manufacturer http://pluscom.cn/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=571
It appears that they do not curently intend to develop WM6 drivers and they allude to the problem being to do with the way WM6 hooks into the miniSD slot to support HC card types.
Has anyone found a workaround for this and if not are there any dumped WM5 .nbh anywhere for this device? There aren't in the FTP.
Thanks
I got a spectec mini SD wifi card on hand. I think I can have some test on my Treo 750 few days later. There's also driver for WM6 on spectec's website.
