Need Help in Sending File Attachments with XDA2 - General Topics

Is there anybody who can lead me to the solution in sending file attachments with the IE in an XDA2?
It seems that the IE loaded in my XDA2 does not support uploading (although I can download) in the internet. Do I need an IE upgrade? If yes, where can I get an upgrade of IE with upload capability?
BTW I am surfing the net via GPRS connection.
Thanks in advance.

Internet sharing cab file?

Does anyone know if you can get a cab file or if there is a registry tweak to restore internet sharing (pan) to WM 6. I have a pre release kaiser that has wmodem but no internet sharing and I cant get dun to work properly to tether to my laptop for internet. I thought wm 6 came standard with internet sharing so I dont know if it's hidden (registry tweak) or if it's been taken off the rom and there is some way to restore it. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks
Try this.. unzip it and copy the 2 files into your widows directory on your phone. then create a shortcut icon in Windows>Start Menu>Programs
That worked! You the man. Thanks so much for the help.
you're welcome
wm5?
Is there an internet connection sharing for WM5?
I have a Softbank X02HT Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition (same as HTC Cavalier / Dopod C730) with crippled Internet Sharing.
I tried this cab file which would open the UI but would show blanks for the Internet and local connections. I managed to pull off the intshrui and intshrui.dll files from a Samsung Blackjack, and now it shows connections and I can actually establish a connection - but when I connect my PC to it, it fails to get an IP address.
Does anyone know which other files are being used by Internet Sharing? Which other files beside intshrui.* do I need to copy from the BlackJack, or if it is even possible?

Same problem here. Maybe the .dll file is carrier specific. A stretch but I can't think of any other reason why this doesn't work.

There are no threads. We are asking for a Cavalier forum but nobody is doing any yet.
Internet connection sharing
I downloaded the internet sharing files, but when I run the program on my Samsung Blackjack II the "PC Connection" and "Network Connection" fields are empty and it does not let me change it.

Contact groups/sms folders and other problems

had initially posted this on the vox-specific forum...but didnt get any replies. so putting the generic queries here. Please help
Phone Model: HTC S710 (Vox)
problems i am facing:
1) sending a sms to multiple recipients. The only i can see is adding people one by one...or using a semi-colon. Is there a way to make groups or something? I saw a post somewhere about SmartSMS...but does it work with WM6? If yes, can anybody point me to the latest version...there seems to be a lot of different softwares floating around the net with the same.
2) I can't seem to create new folders for sms...I tried fiddling around with the 'manage folders' option...but to no avail. Is there any workaround? or a simple step that i have overlooked?
3) Before recieving a bluetooth message, it doesn't prompt it...it just sends the data without asking. I managed to be secure enough by using a passkey but is there a way i can just add a prompt before recieving data via bluetooth?
4) TCPMP doesn't seem to support xvid files. Is there any other software available that can play xvid files?
5) Is there any software that lists all active processes? the in-built task manager only shows things that i have started...but i know there are other things running (the OS files...and VITO copy paste for eg)
6) any good messenger apps which let me connect to gtalk/msn/yahoo all through the same application?
7) do i need to install adobe flash player lite in order to play .swf files over the net?
thanks

Bluetooth ftp on Kaiser?

Hi I'm using Qmobile 1.2 which I love but it seems to be missing bluetooth ftp. Actually I'm not even sure the Kaiser's bluetooth supports ftp? I enabled OBEX but I still don't see the file transfer tab in my bluetooth settings. Does anyone know a fix for this if there is one? Thanks.
Basically I want to transfer files via bluetooth but everytime I try from my laptop it says not supported...
as for generally receiving its been a while since i tried via obex, i just used activesync. as for bluetooth ftp you can search and find but im not sure which is the latest version, once you do it would be good to see if Dutty will include it in his collection of cabs or if we add it in one of the stickies. sending from the kaiser works fine in that case. Resco exploer also has that direct functionality of selecting a file and sending by bluetooth.
There is no file transfer tab in bluetooth settings.

Wouldnt be easier to just drag them to your SD card?
If its only not heavy weight documents also you can send them to your email account and then download them on your pda
Sadly the Northwood trashcan i use at work doesn't have a card reader , And it still means reams of plugging and unplugging every day im looking for something like FTP or folder sharing for WinMo
buy a 15$ bluetooth dongle and plug it to your work pc.. then you can send whatever you want straight up.
oh.. and you can also set up an ftp connection on your ppc (you'll need to search in the forum to find support for ftp on ppc connection... which i've discussed just recently in the Q&A section).. if your work has wi-fi
