I just sent a pm to Buzz and asked him to release the rom. Now we have to wait for his answer. So I will cross my fingers too, maybe we will be able to install WM2005 today! I can´t wait any longer.
Guys, I don't think there's any need to PM buzz.
I'm sure he's had more than one PM saying "I'll help you test it". You know the guy works as fast as super-humanly possible, so let him get on with it and don't make him respond to PMs.
some news would be nice tho! Can't say I ever thought we'd see the day, but there's no reason why it shouldn't be available, given the recent leaks...

NO NEWS YET means that unfortunately the guy is not giving us any further information. That meaning he's not able or he does not want to tell us anything else on this subject.
That 'YET' at the end of the sentence makes me look forward to reading a reply from him in the near future. Whether positive or not I don't know.

Buzz can u tell us what's the main problem? u don't have the rom yet or there are some problems with it?
Please relax everybody, Buzz has kids, a beautiful wife that let him work on the BA2005 rom at night . So give him time on removing keys etc from the original rom dump so that it wont be the last leaked rom that we get.....
Well afaik the guy who got the wm5 rom and buzz made a deal, buzz send another guy to get the rom coz the owner of the rom has a crappy internet connection and had a serious injury. and it looks like they both live in different countries so it will take some time to get the rom finally in his hands. so we all now wait for further news about it. its exciting tho waiting like this :lol: good luck to u all.

I believe buzz has been working on blueangel's wm5 last week, and i'm really impressed with the work done by buzz. He actually the hero of BA WM5, so I believe buzz will help you guys at his best as well.

Plz all of u relax and don't push on the hero "buzz" and raptor (pray for sake of his illness) they do their best. few days ago, all of us were having no hope ragrding wm5 on our magician, now they gave us some light of hope. So, we must thank them and waith them to make this hope a realistic thing. They are volunteers and we don't pay them for that work, and they have all of the tools of the play. So, please don't scratch their sensitive skin. I am sure that they will not delay one minute intentionally more than the actual time required for the work, they have enough idea about how we eager and in great need for this rom. If u cannot wait silent under that great excitement, so, may u post some encouraging words only, or ask a reasonable questions for raport, but as buzz told in the locked thread, those who does not beleieve that the rom is present, please return to ur ordinary work, and when it become realistic, we will invite u to take it peacefully.
A last question for raptor, is the magician of the person who gave u the rom, was 64 memory or uograded to 128. Thanks a lot.
I really wish I could ask what the status is, but I'm scared that I'll be misinterpreted as unpatient/ungrateful/sceptic, when in actual fact I'm not!
Oh dear! Not enough that Buzz has enough to do in working om WM5 roms (with great experience and sucsess). His homepage crashed today. So not only cross fingers for our WM5 rom. Let`s cross our fingers that Buzz soon will bring up his great homepage again. So don`t worry Buzz, everything will go fine soon 8) .

Yes, it is true, read the annoucement on top of the threads.
This means, no more hosting for the ROMs (released ones of ones created by us) this is a BIG loss as it's always a pain in the neck to great any ROM and will push ROM creation into the illegal zone
I will make my prophet ROMs available somewhere else, details will follow later.

As for "Microsoft's choice".... hope they burn in hell lol well in my perspective they're just trying to finish off those dedicate persons like Jesterz that are working hard to correct Microsoft's software defects...
Hopefully we can all learn from this as I think M$ just reacted to Carrier induced pressure due to lots and lots of customer complaints of bricked devices due to failure to understand ROM upgrade procedures... So please if you are reading this and don't have a clue of how upgrade procedures work, either, don't complain and deal with your bricked device (in a worst case scenario) or don't upgrade at all.

These guys from Redmond shoul learn to respect the work of theyr customers.
We make it possible that they get theyr monthly payment.

I don't get it why you all surrender to this Redmond threats.
Usenets have been around for decades. I am a regular user of Usenets from '95 and I can tell you that their strong arm didn't and probably won't reach there.
Why not simply post your valuable stuff there and leave our cherrished forum clean of any files whatsoever?
Just post to alt.binaries.warez.pocketpc and by the way the kind of stuff we find there is really lacking the quality we got here so the newsgroup might just improve that way.

It's so sad to see how MS is dealing with this situation. I have owned PPC's for some time know, and not until I started having problems first with my universal and recently with my prophet that I got into this community. This web site is the best thing that has happened to MS and HTC. I have singed Jester's petition to MS. I know that if this happens I shall go to PALM o iPhone. It is not by taking the ROM archive dowm that MS can stop ROMs from going around!
Why don't they simply try to release ROMs that WOULD NOT require any interventions from the final user instead.
Looks like the "prohibitionism" has taught these guys nothing at all.
i suggest we can use http://www.mydatabus.com host to share our roms. (up to 5 G space pro person and stable).
Rapidshare, megaupload, uploading...etc are not good solutions for us to download and exchange file. Because it will be deleted in limited times.

it is yourself's private storage space, it depends on you, if delete a file or not. but when you want to share the file, you must make it public.

I came into this forum a couple of weeks back with a bricked prophet G4 & a O2 XDA Exec(UK). Since then not only i have been able to restore my prophet ,I have been able to learn a lot abt PPC as a whole. Its a shame that M$ feels thereatened by this forum as we have done nothing wrong except to give people choice!!! Isn't it our right to choose & develop??? Who's MS to stop us?? I ported it from original JPN rom (not from uni). I think i fixed all bugs that Ive find. And when I'll have a chance to upload it, i'll do it.
I think that other person who promised to release his "own" new rom just speculated with news of my release.
As for new features:
-Office Mobile 2007
-Modem Link (in additional to Internet Sharing)
-New versions of system files
-System is more stable and fast ..etc

I just got my new TyTn today, so I started browsing the Hermes forum and grabbed a base OS to start playing with. I wasn't overly pleased with what i was seeing. Pride and ego seem to be the prevailant theme, and I hope it never infects this group.
It reminded me that I want to thank everyone for being excellent contributers. I've found nearly everyone curtious and very helpful . On a scale of 1 to 10, I rank this forum as a 9+. I can't say the same for others
I'll still maintain the Kitchen thread, though I'll have to rely on input for the OS improvements since I won't have any hardware to flash. Hopefully it's nearly done. If there's a big issue, feel free to PM me if an needed.

Regarding the Hermes forum...i think that as long as you don't ask any questions at all, and know a little bit of this and that...it could be pretty funny...in a sick sadistic way
Considering you own a hermes now...maybe you want to take a look at my Hermes kitchen and suggest a few changes .. considering i don't have one...and some people reported errors...some didn't so i wouldn't know what's wrong or how to improve it.

It is the Core kitchen adapted for the Hermes...a little step more advanced.
The latest is the Artemis Core Kitchen..which is the more advanced(couple of bug fixed and some remakes)...and i will have to make one that will work for all (well..not all but most....you know what i mean).
BTW...you're lucky ...i want a hermes too

i flashed a hermes for a buddy yesteday and must say the process was alot longer but not all that difficult. there are some nice roms out for the hermes, but i agree that forums there are almost worse than what they were here last year when some of the wizard chefs were leaving

I agree, it's WAS bit more of a process. BUT - I already have it to where there's LESS steps to cook and flash a Hermes than the way the bepe based kitchens do And it's only my first few hours playing

Asked a few times on Dutty's April thread and also sent a PM (although I didn't expect a reply from the PM)
My question is/was:
Is there going to be another Dutty ROM for the Kaiser? or is the April one the last. As there was a few minor problems with it there was mention he was going to do another but no one seems to be saying least of all Dutty - course I did read he was chilling for a bit.

If the cook doesn't answer you then just wait to see what he puts on the table. Unless your paying for the meal then be polite and don't bother the Chef. He did say in one of the threads that he was getting a new device so development might slow down on his kaiser roms. If I was reading between the lines I would guess he's looking to move on. But I'm not a mind reader and so will take whatever he says literally, but really it's none of my business whether he continues or not.
If you'd have read the threads properly you would have noticed him mentioning this, he has done so more than once. Anyway, take it easy, but really this goes against the grain of the community, i.e. 'giving', none of the cooks owe us anything so we shouldn't be chasing them up with whether they're releasing a new ROM not.

Ah ok...well if we are going to discuss something worthwhile... then by all means.
MY girlfriend and I have gotten into watching alot of asian horror, and have branched out into other countries as well.
Check out "El Orfanto", The Orphanage, a very good ghost story from Spain.
If you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth, or really anything by Guillermo del Toro, you should check it out.
I must say that most of the asian horror is sort of "out there" and doesn't make as much of an impact to western sensibilities... good acting, pacing, but much left unexplained. One that isn't exactly "horror" but just an awesome, messed up story...see Oldboy, a korean film.

Hi guys , I'm abandoning this release for now as it seems there still issues with this build, not sure if its the newer wm6.1, I havent tried 5.2.19212 as yet, but there are random freezes with these build , i know people are mentioning it could be hardspl but I cant see how is that have to do with it, My thoughts it could be related to the dynamice pagepool setting with also with our customcache settings,
I fixed most issues so far, including contacts and other stuff, but dont feel its still stable.
I'm also looking to get a new device soon,
So for now I will not support this thread, also I'm also busy at work again, thanks for supporting guys, I will be at the background trying to do one more release, but need to investigate the random freezing we experiencing now with these new builds

Nothing much but just tell you small thanks for your hard work for this community, Since i've got my first htc magic i had no clue how to deal with roms or android at all.
I've found ahmgsk on this forum and just added him to my gtalk and said "oh well, if i've a luck he will approve me" and guess what? he has.
since then he has teached me step by step about roms, about android explained me about radio, roms and helped me with many upgrades/downgrades and saved me from screw up my device as many would in this forum while trying change the radio or what so ever. he NEVER asked me to vote or review him. But after his decent help to me, a person he never knew or got anything from. I want just tell you, thank you for what you are and hopefully see you keeping up your great work at this community!

+1 i can only agree with that.. to bad that there is some idiots instead of getting a live spending thy're time on frustrating and annoying others.
thx to ahmgsk i have come along way with my sapphire too
and point i would like to mention to people here about ahmgsk. Even he has lost his Magic in the past december. He has still worked hard to bring the Magic owners the great roms, he has exchanged many of his must study hours to create roms and help people all the time.
He is a truely good person with good intentions, when he even lost his own Magic he didnt said "i lost mine, so i dont care of others" he kept working hard and every second he could borrow magic from some one, he used to keep and creating great things for everyone here!
Sorry but have I missed something regarding ahmgsk!? would someone be kind and filling me in what has happened?
i also want to thank ahmgsk for his hard work and great roms
i like his work he is one best in rom dev.but feeis sorry for what happen in his latest rom thread which was unfortunate.

I'm pretty sure if he left the community on his own accord, he's no longer interested and never will be.
I think we should be standing behind the devs who are still here and truly are dedicated to this forum.

I agree with all of you, except one or two. He for our did a great job only for our entartainment. You like it or not, this is the truth. It is truth that nobody put him to do that, but at least we can a little respect for his great work. I and probably most of you are waiting for him to come back.

guys... he deved on friend device... that one he dont have anymore how u whant him to dev without device ? he is a good coder... but its like u cant code on typewriter... anyway he did things because he like not because he needed...

Yeah, and a lot of people donated a lot of money for his nee Magic. Do you belive that he didn't get enough money (about 350$ for brand new)?? I belive he gets the money! But now he won't develop for us anymore. It is too sad, because he promise that new version will come at tuesday, then he said on friday, then on sunday and finally - no release for u f****s... OK THANKS for the "no release".

In fact it is not so dificultly to make roms by yourself guys. I am making my owns, when i am tired to wait somone to give me a good rom. Maybe i should start to recruit some donations and after 1 month develping will tell you - go away, i am tired? Good idea.... but i am not like the others. If i start to release modified builds, there will be no link for donations.

those were not even new radio when he made that port lol (superd ahgmsk port was old radio)

And My Rom was Not released Becoz i m a student still and
in students life u hav to do submissions, projects, seminars, assignments, job, and many more personal things

and BTW -> i Stopped Android 1.6 porting long ago after some of users started porting roms.

yes, I use his SuperHero1.5.
I'm very happy happy with this rom, it is the fastest one (with SenseUI) I ever tried (and I tried many)!
SuperHero2.0 would have been great, but ok, i can stick with SuperHero1.5 until htc releases the offical update.

hey robocik is pretty damn close with his robomix
its pretty premo - some DiS here and there - and ofc usb problem but its almost daily usable
on the otherhand, that is why I have 2 complete up to date donut roms ported which are suitable for daily use, and I was downloading from you LONG before I got frustrated with the roms around here, to have to make my own ports
to all the people that can live with bugs on a rom and use it, im not one of you - sorry
need stable!

EDIT: all dev's even cy and wes are working on -> eclair 2.1 do u post on there post and say give me stable or dont post
edit 2 : robonic got it working now -> this means my work on eclair rom and other heros roms b4 this all got wasted
just bcoz new roms hav compatible drivers which made his work easy.
