Sad farewell

Well all, the ride was great and I had alot of fun cooking the NTS series of roms. But like all good things, there comes an end. I have decided that it is time to move on from my beloved wizard and have purchased a Motorola Q9h Global. I wanted to thank all the chefs and users who have participated in my releases and in the forum in general. I wish you all the best of luck.

bro this is my experience... after trying to upgrade to 8525 i still went back to 8125
this may not be relevant but I still find that wizard is the best thing that happened to me ... maybe i can call this a bug that you have given to me really like how wizard work aside from being sturdy... gonna miss you man

When I first found this site, and started to read and understand the idea behind flashing and upgrading - your roms (NTS) were usually at the top of everyone's must have - or dare I say, best roms out there list.

*NEW* Dutty ROM *NEW*

Asked a few times on Dutty's April thread and also sent a PM (although I didn't expect a reply from the PM)
My question is/was:
Is there going to be another Dutty ROM for the Kaiser? or is the April one the last. As there was a few minor problems with it there was mention he was going to do another but no one seems to be saying least of all Dutty - course I did read he was chilling for a bit.
//Before people whine and moan.. I did ask many times on the thread and searched for the answer this is my last resort!

People who are cooking ROM's are doing this for free in their spare time... ..they even got lives besides the XDA forum.

If you want to know what the cook is making for dinner then ask the cook. Asking the people in the super market won't help. If the cook doesn't answer you then just wait to see what he puts on the table. Unless your paying for the meal then be polite and don't bother the Chef. In short one would assume by your question that you have your pants custom made due to the sher size of your balls and I would bet their brass as well.

He did say in one of the threads that he was getting a new device so development might slow down on his kaiser roms. If I was reading between the lines I would guess he's looking to move on. But I'm not a mind reader and so will take whatever he says literally, but really it's none of my business whether he continues or not.
If you'd have read the threads properly you would have noticed him mentioning this, he has done so more than once. Anyway, take it easy, but really this goes against the grain of the community, i.e. 'giving', none of the cooks owe us anything so we shouldn't be chasing them up with whether they're releasing a new ROM not.

Ah ok...well if we are going to discuss something worthwhile... then by all means.
MY girlfriend and I have gotten into watching alot of asian horror, and have branched out into other countries as well.
Check out "El Orfanto", The Orphanage, a very good ghost story from Spain.
If you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth, or really anything by Guillermo del Toro, you should check it out.
I must say that most of the asian horror is sort of "out there" and doesn't make as much of an impact to western sensibilities... good acting, pacing, but much left unexplained. One that isn't exactly "horror" but just an awesome, messed up story...see Oldboy, a korean film.

Dutty and a few others, are kinda sick of Kaiser & will be jumping ship shortly. Don't expect Great Kaiser roms forever. Not with newer & greater toys right around the corner. Many of us will be leaving shortly.

I never said it was my business, and maybe it 'goes against the grain' but it was a perfectly legitimate question and was asked clearly with nothing other than, I'll wait if there is another on the way.. rather than install the 'last' ROM.
What's hilarious is that my question was answered quickly and concisely by Infuruno (page 1 post 3!) - now that's all that was required simply put and job done!.

Back again guys! Need a suggestion

So basically what happened was that my T-Mobile Shadow swam in four inches of water for about five minutes, and now doesn't want to come back to life. Don't they make them waterproof anymore?
So I am back to my trusty SDA. I knew it was the best thing I ever had. Haha. So my question is (its such a noob question, but I've been gone over six months guys): what's the newest and most tested WM6.1 version here? My SDA is still running VJs 6.0 version and I never went to 6.1.

Welcome back!! You can try Blackdragon_860's or mine Gnat's is another option and very good too. I based mine on this one.
But I am leaving too soon. So probably no more Tornado cooking by me. Should that be my path, I'll release my kitchen here before leaving.

@Nitro, I'll still be around. This forum has taught me lots of things that I never dreamt of. I've made many friends here and am happy to be associated with so many friendly, sincere people. Since I will keep my Tornado, this means that any ROM that sees the light of day will 'see' my device
Looking forward to your Platinum Edition. Would expect all the tweaks in it...

I was waiting for a NEO ULTIMATE version maybe with NEO WORKING in WM 6.1 and maybe with the Boot UP screen from MONA LISA (NOT the 19700 one) tha one with percentage which I think is beautiful to see and also quick in booting on the phone.
Whatever you'll decide I'm sure you know you have done a GREAT contribution to us, vox users, and also to XDA community.

Info: In some cases you will need to copy WinCENLS_WWE folder to SYS folder (if not present in Donor's SYS) from your original ElfIn SYS otherwise your device will not boot

Well I have installed 19700 from Dr. Gonzo yesterday dont tell me it is not fast. It has a huge difference. I hope fireburned gets a solution.

Fireburned, I feel sorry for you. Frustrations indeed come from failures but remember that failures are the pillars of success. I think other cookers will be able to help you once they hear about your frustration. Rather we would like to invite Dr Gonzo, Hikey, Frauhottelmann and all other cookers to this thread to help you out. Anyway the final decision is yours. And finally many thanks to you for your invaluable ROMS which made our equipment a prized possession. Will wait for you to cook better next time.

Well entering and going out from folders\subfolders....Windows folder acces time and other things SEEMS TO ME the same as other quick roms out here....i repeat IMHO only scrolling as been improved...surely scrolling fasters helps in usability...no doubt on this...

Well, as far as I am concerned for entering and in folders and other operations are also faster but obviously a Xip update does not update your processor

i moved to your WM 6.1 clean ROM from Dr's Monalisa 19700 ROM and i found yours to be more cleaner and more better base to add-in the big apps/games.
Dr. MG Started it all of the best Vox WM 6.x ROM's and you have upped the ante; we all suggest you NOT TO GIVE UP.

Up until yesterday, I had no idea how to unlock a phone and now my old 6800 is unlocked, has WinMo 6.5, GPS enabled w/ iNav and doesn't look like **** anymore. I read through most of the docs and the process went rather smoothly.

First wow this is an old thread. I wasn't going to touch it, but I was thinking of starting something similar.
It needs to be said that everyone on xda deserves some thanks, for their initiative to become members. Big and small there is great need here and true talent.
I thank everyone who truly helps me. It is remarkable how effectively I can get a question answered. There is enough people and enough talent to recognize all the small problems and tackle the seemingly undo-able.
Its good to reflect on all that has been accomplished here.

MMuzzy's ROM is clean and fast. He's a great guy that does fast good work. I'm really amazed at how active he is and responsive he is to everyone. Kudos man!

Hashcode is an amazing developer who works with many devices. I'm glad he isn't leaving us DROID 3 owners in the dust. Thank again Hash!
