i have xda 1. whilst charging in cradle, vertical lines appeared on screen. tried soft and hard reset but now screen only displays vertical lines and does not function. can anyone help?
Thanks

Maybe the conenctor of the display isn´t fixed properly. You could try opening the device and check cable settings.
Or the display is defect...

My XDA ran out of battery and so I lost everything on it so I have to re-synchronise with my PC.
However, I cannot get past the "Align Screen". I an constantly tapping the four corners but once this is done and the cursor goes back to the centre of the screen, the screen doesn't change and I am unable to get to my XDA.
Urgent help please!
make sure you tap the cross in the middle of the crosshares
Yes, so I have found out after a lot of hard work!
Thanks!
I have just done a hard reset on my XDA. However, I am unable to get past the Align Screen mode as I align the screen but it won't go any further.
How can I get past this so that I can get into my XDA and synchronise it?
Thank you
Why isn't it getting past screen alignment? Is it not responding to taps?
V
My XDA responded to virtually nothing - I tapped the screen and it took 5 minutes to respond to every tap instead of instantly. I was advised to do a hard reset, but when I do the screen taps to align the screen, the cursor goes to the middle of the screen and nothing else happens so I am unable to progress.
Any help would be appreciated.
Ive this problem as you do,
Anyone can help?

Weird...
Are you using a screen protector? If so, take it off before alignment; it's possible that there's some crud stuck underneath it that's registering a tap, or something.
I can't think of anything else, besides a faulty touchscreen, or some dirt in one of the edges of the screen. Sorry.
Try reflashing the rom. If that doen't work then looks like you've got hardware failure.
kindly redirect me on how to flash the rom?
im very new
Thank you

Hmm... Just the second day I got my phone. But found that I cannot move to the previous/next message with finger. Anyone has similar problem? Any cure for this?
Thanks..........
Did you try a horizontal swipe starting/ending outside the screen border?
Thanks for the reply. It's solved. It seemed to be my TC was very low in memory & it just kept hanged at same message.
At some times it works fine, at other times, not. It happens with any system like tnt, wm5 and wm6 and it is solved by re-aligning but lately the screen would not even recognized my pen stroke on the alignment process...
Any help??
thanks in advanced!
Forgot to say; I have TNT 20273.1.3.3
Nobody with this problem?
could be a workaround
Hi,
i am using this ROM and this Screen Align problem is not a software issue its hardware issue,
Try to press corner border frame and kept it pressed and then try to see if you can work properly, do this one by one with each corner.
once you identify which side your screen is not fitted properly then you can diagnose further how to correct it.
mine trouble was above to call end button corner. then I unscrew the entire device and re Fix it.
Cheers
Thanks for your accurate reply! Mine is in the same place. I think it´s because there is too much pressure going on there...did you fix it succesfully? Or do you actually change the whole housing?
Just recently my Fuze touch screen is not accurate at all. I tried to align the pointer but if I press a certain part of the screen, its selecting the area above or below.
I hate to hard reset my phone- can someone help?

You def should have done this properly. Did you align the screen using your stylus only right?

Yes, aligned with stylus and tried soft reset. Still acting up where if I touch a portion of the screen, it acts as if I pressed a different area.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Might be a long shot, but make sure the screen is clean and free from all debris.
hard reset seems like the only option. unless you want to send it in and get a new one...
Make sure the screen protector you are using is placed right. Are you using a 2 piece plastic body protector? If so, the top half may be putting undue pressure on the screen itself. Remember, with these screens, when touched in two different places will recognize a midpoint...not one or the other of the pressure points.
regestry
There is a regestry key that hold the info of the digitalization process.. I will look for it and post the values. I know that they are not the same for all phones but in his case maybe work... If he wana try.
registry key...
The registry with touch screen values is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DeviceMap\Touch\CalibrationData
and the values on mine are...
493,511 800,186 797,836 192,828 191,176
So just open that registry key and copie those numbers and it shuold work... Maybe not perfect but enough to do a real calibration...
Sorry for my english but its my second lengage...
good luck!
