COPYING DVD TO PPC ?

Thanks to Spb Pocket PC Tips and Tricks (some very useful info here), I've decrypted my DVD with DVD Decrypter, ran AutoGK, and PocketDivXEncoder. DVD is now on SD card and I play it with BetaPlayer. Problem is I only get the 'Director's Cut' soundtrack and not the original soundtrack. The file on my PC plays the original. Anyone any ideas ?
Aparantly you have selected the wrong sound-track.
It should not bepossible (unless you created a multi-audio DivX) to have 1 single AVI playing different audio on different hardware.
Tip:
For this purpose Microsoft has the Windows Media Encoder suite.
AFAIk it has all the important options.
No need for extra players/codecs on the PPc!

Click to collapse
Essentially true but BetaPlayer is more flexible, will play a greater number of formats and remembers where you left off which WMP doesn't.

Hi
To play files, use TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player) - don't delay, install today: Get it for FREE from www.tcpmp.com
To encode files (just go for XviD if I were you) try Pocket DivX Encoder (Google for it) or even better the commercial version of this program 'Lathe' from www.Omniquiti.com - $7.95 is disgracefully cheap for what this program does - & does it effortlessly! Geez, it even converts DVD material at the click of a button & does it FAST (about an hour - believe me, that's FAST).
Andy
Yup pocket divx encoder is a hassle free way to convert films for your device. TCPMP is also an essential, if you want to view fullscreen.
Converted 4 dvds and 7 avi films last night and am happily watching some of them at work today. FYI Watching HOSTEL and re-engineering an ecommerce website don`t mix
LOL, It's called WORK....
You get PAID for it!!!!!
HOSTEL - I'll have to check that film out.... not heard of it.

Syncing recorded TV Via Windows Media Player

Hi, Hoping this one hasn't been posted already - couldn't find it in a search.
I use Windows Media Centre in Vista to record TV shows. I then use Windows Media Player to auto sync those shows to my Pocket PC (TyTN II but that shouldn't be important here).
When syncing, Windows Media Player does alot of (essential) file conversion, which slows down the syncing process. Does anyone know if it's possible to set WMP to do this conversion as soon as the file is recorded, so that when I plug the device in I don't have to wait for conversion?
Sorry I dont' know. I use tivo to record, which transfers to my pc, and from there I stream it using winamp remote.
but you might not have an unlimited data plan i guess

Streaming mp3/music from PC to WM6 - What software?

Hi guys,
I want to use my HD Touch to stream music (mostly in mp3 format) from my main pc, i.e. like a squeezebox.
What's the best software which will allow me to do this?
The only thing I can find is "LobsterTunes" but its last release was in 2008
Thanks
I use WMP to run a media server on my pc, and Conduits Pocket Player to access it from ppc over my wireless home network.
Orb...i really think this is your best bet.
