O2 mini WWE 1.11 ROM - ID Country error

Hello,
I have just downloaded the official new rom v1.11.
When I want to upgrade it, I get an error regarding the ID country !
I don't understand why... I got the rom from the official website (Thailand section since I bought the mini in Thailand but the ROM is for Asian countries and it should not be the problem).
How to solve this problem?

I upgrade my O2 mini completly by using offical O2 firmware.But i try two times. I think the meaning of "reset" is hard reset then let the O2 goes back the original setting before upgrade.
After upgrade, the storage still has 7Mb, not 27Mb. Who can give me a comment???

GPRS problem

Now the ROM updated.
But I got a new problem, with GPRS.
I can connect to GPRS but once I'm connected, I don't have anymore the possibility to disconnect like before with the previous ROM.
*** ROGER 123, what is exaclty the problem with the storage? You are talking about the RAM or the free space in the ROM?
I guess what you mean but not sure... After a hard reset .... additional softs will be intsalled (3 seconds and...). Just make a soft reset before the process and then you don't have these extra softwares so that you have 7 Mb more available in RAM.

Hey2, this official rom, you can't get 27 Mb of storage. If you want get the 27 MB Storage you must cooked the official rom first.

O2 mini Rom upgrade help-
Hi,
I'm new here...Just downloaded Rom upgrade from www.seeo2.co and tried upgrading. (ma_o2asia_11100_922_11100_ship.exe)
HELP! At stage 2. Updating Extended Rom.... the process just freeze at 15% and refuse to complete!!
I've also read other upgrade options and downloaded "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" and followed instructins but same thing each time..
Tried at least 10 times, each time stuck at 15%
Any known solution out there pls??

Help..new type of problem on upgrading Mini.

Please help me...am newbie here..
I've O2Mini and I want to upgrade the rom into 1.11 (official one).
Upgrading process just as mention on their official site.
the problem is that the upgrade always stuck on stage 2 (30%) and then the installer shows error and close.
I've tried to download the installer but it still occured on the same spot (30% stage 2). I've tried different rom from our ftp (the 1.12 rom for O2). but the problem still occured on the same spot (30% stage 2).
now, my mini became usable since there were no rom inside it.
Can somebody give me clue on what's going on my mini?
what is the problem? (I've already use official rom)
what should I do...I want to use my mini again

Hmm... weird case...
however i have some suggestion:
- try to flash using other computer (dont use yours)
- if still can't flash, try other ROM besides O2, perhaps from T-mobile.

Any XDAII WM5 for Asia?

As I am using XDAII for 2003se which is 2.0600WWE downloaded in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16880). The radio is 1.18 and the bootloader is 1.01. As I can upgrade my rom from 2003 to 2003se without any problem, I would like to upgrade it to WM5 in these few days.
However, I face some problems in my updating.
I have try XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE, XDA_WM2k5_2.01a00WWE, however, I cannot search the phone network after upgrade rom. As I have read some posts before, I know that there may be my radio's problem, so I upgrade my radio also. I have try 1.17, 1.18, 1.08 with these rom. Unlucky, it also cannot search phone network.
So. for the only solution is get back 2003se with "Asia O2 Xda II WM 2003 SE Upgrade" in this forum. I can get my network back.
As the result, I would like to ask that what problem am I facing and what can I do? Is it the problem of bootloader ? or the problem of radio?
And also, there have "Asia upgrade" for WM5? It helps me a lot and I need not to afraid the networking problem.
Please help me. .

you're lucky you can install that file to your XDA2. Mine can't I donno why. Activesync kept on disappearing. Although upgrading to 2003se is not a problem.

waht edition of active sync do you have? to get wm2005 to work it has to be active sync 4.0 or higher and for the newer roms you have to have AS 4.2 or equivalent beta versions

I'm currently using AS 4.2. The problem is that I couldn't install WM2005 2.01 64 to my himalaya. Once I double click on the installer, AS disappears and an error screen will come out after 10 mins. I also tried installing WM 3.0 but still the same result. I really wanted to try using WM2005 on my himalaya. could you guys help me?

I understand that AS will disappear the same way as it does when I installed SE. However, what puzzles me is that all of these installers will inform me that there is an error and I could not proceed further with the installation. I even have to restart my laptop because AS couldn't communicate with my himalaya after my attempted installation.
Sorry I'm not well versed with computer language/jargons that's why I could not understand the readme file. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me. Thanks.

at last installed it! I have to re install though. I restored some of my data and it crashed on me.

high what network are you with and are you on contract or pay as you go?
cause i have the settings for o2 contract gprs and also havw the settings for e-mail etc

I'm now able to access my emails. however, MMS is still a problem. Still can't send or receive. I'm using a globe telecom postpaid line here in the philippines. I installed the attached file for the network configuration but still nothing.

No ROM usable ??, hang on Opera9 customization process

I would need some help to understand the following :
whatever ROM i try to install, after successfull flash and the following reboot when you get the "customization will start in 3 sec", it always hang on the "Installing WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera9_WWE.CAB" (last time i wait 5h to see if it move)
i tried RomeOS1.01 as well as 1.02 (just a few minutes ago), same also happen with DCS-TouchProv13 or even when i try to revert to RUU_raphaelWWE1.66...
i have a successfull HardSPL1.90.1.3 Olinex properly showing up on the 3 color screen.
Soft reset allow me to use the phone with a somehow successfull install ? (i get some of the appz but not sure it is 100% successfull / how can i check??)
Only concern is that the phone get warm around the camera/speaker after a few hours of usage and battery doesnt sound very powerfull (full load stay on about 5 to 6h with no bluetooth but wifi on)
original is an XDA diamond pro from o2 germany (model RAPH120)
as of right now i have
ROM: ROMeOSv1.02 WWE
Radio: 1.02.25.11
Protocol 52.33.25.17u
Any idea why the custom... always hang on the Opera install ? i dont care to not use opera or dl and install it myself afterward ??

How about flash ur stock ROM back, then revert the stock SPL. There may be semething wrong with ur device

Guess what .... after flashing back to a german ROM (thks for the link to an htc oiginal ) the "customization" with Opera9_DE went well and finish up normally.
i am going to work/play a bit with the German version to make sure it does not come from the device
any other idea in how/why my German o2 xda does not love all the great simple ROM cooked here ??
is any o2 Germany user here havig successfully flashed their xda with an English (or French ) ROM ??

I am seeing this exact same issue.
I have had no end of grief flashing my Raph, I maintain an XP VM (I am on OS X) entirely for flashing. I have flashed many different devices with dozens of ROMs and never had a problem until I got the Raphael. I have seen BSOD's and numerous connection issues while flashing using both Raphael_CustomRUU_v1.2 and RaphaelWrapper.
Also, every ROM I have flashed (on a XP SP3 box I put together from old pieces just to flash this bastard) has hung whilst installing opera.
I am using the o2 uk variant (as yet unreleased XDA Serra).
It is a RAPH120, is this unique to o2 devices?
Would appriciate any help getting this sorted, it could become a more widespread problem with the o2 uk variant is released, as there may be an influx people wondering why their device wont flash properly.
nb. I have an unreleased o2 built ROM (RUU_Raphael_O2_UK_1.60.206.1_radio_sign_52.29.25.12_1.01.25.16_Test.exe) that flashes and installs fine even from inside my VM.

[UPDATE] I tried installing Opera build 1957 from a cab and it worked fine.

maybe a dumb suggestion... but try to get your device unlocked and see what happen

So no leads there, as an interim solution I will repack ROMeOS² v1.03 without Opera and see how that works out.

i have the same device and the same problem. I will try to repack it with the german version of opera..

Oh dear, so it would appear that current roms do not work on O2 variant devices...
Has anyone successfully flashed an O2 device (with a cooked rom)?
I have hit some problems repacking ROMeOS² as hung has included measures to stop people making their own roms based on his. I pm'd him last night asking if he could help us out, but as of yet I have not recieved a reply.
I will probably start making my own rom from scratch tonight, but its a fair bit of work just to take opera out of the customization sequence. Hopefully its just some odd bug in the opera install, rather than something more serious. I guess worst case scenario is that after opera is removed it just crashes at another point during the costomization process.

Excellent, so at least we have a workaround in the pipeline. Still, it would be best to find the cause of the problem, as not all cooks have the time and dedication to make special versions of their roms for a small sub-set of users.

Actually Opera is included but with no device specific & v1.04 is done

Hi Stephane and others having similar trouble,
I had the same situation but my original ROM was Japanese, after trying a lot of possible official WWE versions for flashing and cooked ROMs, only one version worked.. Check the official WWE version Singtel.. it worked up to customization without problem.. the only difference the default internet page is Singtel but it is not a problem cause I can still go to the other sites..

upgrade to WM6 close to fail ?

First my question :
I'm now thinking about reinstalling official ROM but my question is : should I remove Hard spl and move back to initilial IPL/SPL before loading the WM5 rom.
Then the context:
I'm a newbie and 2 days ago I've tried to upgrade my I-Mate K-Jam to WM6.1.
After having carrefully read several thread and in particular the thread "Wizard Windows Mobile 6 for newbies" i first start to unlock my G4 mobile with HardSpl. This was a great success so I moved on to the next step loading a WM6 ROM. I choose the WizFlo 6.1.1.4 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=435228) but this was not a success since my K-Jam was just looping on the splash page/alignment wizard and reboot. I really thought that I had turned my mobile into a brick but was still continuing to investigate and yesterday evening I've learned how to just start the bootloader by pressing the camera button while starting-up. Yepee, 2 a clock this morning, I succeed loading the vanilla version of the TNT rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=388229. Super everything was working fine so I went to bed.
This morning, very proud of what I've done alone I just decided to move from the TNT vanilla version to the professional version. This was a mistake since then I was never able to restart my K-Jam. It just freeze on the TNT splash screen. I've tried to reload several other rom but the TNT splash screen remains and my mobile just continue to freeze.

YES!
In order to revert back to official rom,you'll first have to remove HardSPL,otherwise it'll Brick the phone.
Secondly, have you tried a Hard Reset,it might help the phone to start working.Is your battery fully charged ?
After getting the phone HardSPL,there's no reason for any wm6 roms like TNT to stuck up,it might be that the battery is weak or flat.
Get the battery fully charged,try a Hard Reset,otherwise reflash TNT.

Thanks for your answer, I'm not sure about the batterie status. Am i able to refill the battery in bootload mode. or does the official K-jam charger work in my mobile is not yet started.

Almost a week I'm working on my mobile but no sucess yet.
One more question, Is there any special restart or reboot to be performed once the rom load process is complete ?
I've tried to install Loverom or merlin rom but even if the splash page change I never go furher. I'm now considering on moving back to an official ROM. But since I didn't backed up mu rom before all of these update process I'm gone use a download one.
K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.exe. This official package install a ROM file and the RUU utility, but how can I check that the rom does not contain IPL nor SPL file.
Is there a way to check rom content before a load. I'm using hardspl and I've read that if I instal a ROM with IPL/SPL i will turn my device into brick.
May be I should also remove hardspl but how can I do this ?
