Help!! Reading / writing chinese for my O2 Zinc

guys,
i need to read/write chinese with my o2 zinc...what should i do?? i'm using WM6 - WWE_RM3070712 ROM...thanks

Hey, here is the URL that provide the Chinese input application. I havnt tried these before because i'm using another 1. I will oso attach for you. So far i use the Chinese.Support.Song.cab is quite gd but their is a bug which not allow you to log in to the window live messenger that originally come wif your wm6. However i will try to install another version of the messenger to test whether it's works or not. By the way, juz to inform u tat once you install the chinese viewer, you will c only white screen when u read ur sms. But it's will fix when u restart your PPC or reset your PPC. Juz try it.

Here is the one i using. Hope can help you because i oso search for them for the whole nite and tried each of them. So far i found that it's the best software that u may get from the net. There's also a software named CE-Star but i heard that it will make your PPC lagging. So i nvr tried since a lot of chinese user hav these opinion.

The above post is the input software, I think you should install tis chinese viewer b4 you install the input application. Hope you will like it..

Hi Willy,
I suppose you got the links from the forum and they probably used linkbucks over there "and you just used copy and paste".
For some reason the PDAViet forum is not accesible anymore for guests and you have to sign up to access the forum "and therefore the links".
I used to access their forum even though all I was doing is going through the links and find "elfin" and download the rom "since I don't understand the language"
now it is impossible to do so so thanks again for sharing and I wonder why they want people to sign in to download from a rapidshare link "since they don't have an english part"

isn't the build number older than the v42 :

20226.1.3.0 for 44
i've never known how to read build numbers, i can be wrong.. but i do think it already happened btwn v40 and v41

Just flashed to V44 (with 18MB PP), so far so good.
1 thing I noticed, the bottom bar covers a name when in (Contacts) application if you keep pressing 'down'
Not sure if it's because of 18MB PP, or the new ROM. It does seem to be faster than V41 PDAViet.

I created my own cab file, based on smartdial v3b, diamond & black dialer for WWE.
You can get it here

is there a cab with just smartdial? (no black dialer skin)
i never managed to get a prog that could kill an actual process, although i found a hundred that could kill an application, so i can't just kill cprog.exe and add i can't remember which dll to the windows directory

Try Dotfred's Task Manager (http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm). It works for me. If you just want smartdial with no skin, see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394518.

I used Resco Explorer 2007 5.17 to overwrite \windows\etphone.dll directly

Any annoying bugs found in this release?

I am trying this ROM right now. So far so good!
The only big issue is that PCM Keyboard's space bar does not work, which is still unresolved from previous versions of PDAViet. I installed Resco Keyboard Pro as an alternative.
ROM is hyper fast!

bug (maybe) A2DP
HI. im using this ROM for 1 day now. when streaming mp3 with A2DP, the winmediaplayer always stop itself after few minutes. not between songs, but in the middle of the song. if i press play then the song will continue for few mins then stop again. have no issue with previous ROM. anyone else try A2DP with this ROM ?

Prepare to get flamed, because the answer is right there on the upgrading forum if you look at the top.

The ROM is working great on my Touch, no problem so far. The only annoying thing is the dialer, if I want to redial the last number the SEND button doesn't do anything, I need to get into the call history > select the last call and press call or send button, Anyway to fix this?

SMS Software?

Hi everybody,
right now I have the HTC Wizard, but I plan to get the HTC Touch Pro as soon as it is out . Beeing a collector, I would hate to loose all my SMS (I probably never will touch my wizard again (sounds somhow dirty)after I have the Pro. Is there a way to save the SMS to the PC (probably in Outlook?) and than transfer them to the new phone?
Somhow connected: My new plan will have included SMS. Now I would like to write them on the PC (preferential with outlook 2003/2007) and than send them via the attached phone.
I think there could be one programm which could do it all, because the problems are related . Anybody an idea?
EDIT: Ok, I found some programs , http://www.dotfred.net/ (PIMBackup) seems good to transfer from one Phone to the other, and it is freeware.
And http://www.jeyo.com/extender.asp (Jeyo Mobile Extender ) seems to do the job, for all questions, but you have to buy it, does anybody know a freeware alternative?

SMS auto sender

first of all sorry for my english....
I want know if is possible send an sms in auto if i write and send it when i'm out of zone with signal !!! i don't find nothing on this argument.
another question, it's possibile customize the led of the touch pro for example for know when i'm out signal-zone????

as far as im aware the fone will hold in outbox and resends when it picks up signal so its done auto. but might be different in your country :s

in fact in my country and with WM6.1 the sms is not resend in auto!!

hmm ur rite..i went to a place i know i dont have sig and tried on my samsung omnia and on my old noika 6300. both of course didnt send... when i picked up a sig my old nokia 6300 sends again but my new samsung does not...

WM6.5 and Avaya as dialler

I am new on this portal but I read a lot in the last days and was very surprised of the solutions you find and also the apps you made working. Great
I know its not looking very good to ask as newbie for help but I hope you can help me... I am searching for more than a week for a solution and tried even to edit the registry but unfortunately I am not good enough to find the solution
So what do I want do to?
I have a HD2 (branding free) and I want to install Avaya One-X mobile.
Well the installation was succesfull and I also get it running inside my company and also the private modus. But since I have it installed I hear no ringtone. It always plays an "ding" and thats all.
So right now I always have to keep my eyes on my mobile to see if someone calls me or not.
And the second problem is that I also get no caller picture displayed..
But as soon as I deinstall the one-x everything is working (phone rings and caller picture is displayed)????
So you are my last hope to find a solution. Please can you help me?

oh... the one-x mobile software is free for download on the avaya webiste

i'm getting mad with it...
Now I am a step further.. I now that the software deactivates the onboard call handler. I think it is only a registry setting to reenable it. after done the caller name+picture should be displayed and even the call-slider should be back.
Does someone have an idea where I can find the entry?

well now I know exactly the differents between the registry with one-x installed vs without. But I have no experiences in reading/interpreting my results.
Is a Dword something which can be used as name? or is it only a value?
Does someone has a guide for beginners please?

Saw your post on One-x and been reading a little on it. Where did you get the install files from and did you get it working in the end?

I installed the version for pocketpc WM6 (not the UC version) and yes it is working fine
But:
The problem I have is that since I have it installed it
- my mobile does not play a ringtone any more
- "slide to answer" and "show caller name+picture" is away

When I get the disc tomorrow ill post up the results.
This app will be very helpful if i get it working
As for the no ringtone issue I am not sure.

@ fards: there are two versions. one for "Windows mobile 5"and the other one for "Windows mobile pocket pc" (here you can find it for WM6). the first is a UC versions. For this you need an internet connection and a uc-server running in your company. the other one is for normal mobile use. it calls via the phone connection the server and then your call is managed by the server.

I do not see the HD2 listed as compatible device.
Did you get it working or still having problems?
How does the Avaya interface on the mobile phone look like?
Is it replacing the WM dialer completly or only while Avaya software is running in the background?

I have just installed it onto my HD2. The install hung at the end for about 20 mins. Reset device and the software has replaced my dialer. Appears to be working but im reading on how to configure the ini file now.
Tested on personal mode and call connected fine.

it replaces the dialer completly...
for the ini file you need the settings of your ACM. here you have to enter different extensions for each function...
you also has to to enter your mobile number in the ACM. Because your are identified via your number.
But can you test if you get a ringtone for incoming calls? thats my problem. I get no

Just to draw a conclusion to this This topic. This solution does not work correctly on HD2. Unless someone has managed to do this and has not shared?
