WM6.1 Delete all mails

is there any safeguard to stop someone accidentally deleting all their mail ?
in outlook mail on the phone if you press menu and then 0 it deletes all messages from the phone without an "are you sure" prompt
if you are additionally syncing with exchange it will also delete all messages from your exchange account.
Ok you can recover them from deleted items but I think its a bit of a flaw in WM6.1
can anyone help ?

Menu => Tools => Other => "Warn when deleting messages in the message list".
Tick it off and no more worries.

UPDATE !!
I just checked it "warn when deleting messages in the message list" WAS already ticked
but to be sure I tried it again with that ticked and lo and behold - another 250 mails were deleted

Untick it, close and re-opening messaging, tick it again, close and re-open and see if it works.

I did ALL exactly as you suggested - but still all messages got deleted without a warning
is it just me ?

I believe it only asks for confirmation when u delete a single message, not when u delete multipe / all messages.
Possible reason - deleting multiple / all messages functionality is not an in-built feature of WM unfortunately - its a 3rd party addon.

Before you write "ActiveSync" read the following:
When setting up ActiveSync i checked contacts by mistake, so all my phone contacts were copied to outlook. When I tried to uncheck contacts from sync options, it said "all your contacts will be deleted from phone" so i clicked cancel and decided to delete device from ActiveSync and setup new partnership without contacts instead.
The problem is that the phone deleted all the contacts anyway after first sync with the fresh ActiveSync partnership!! And worst, when syncing with microsoft myphone, it deleted them from there as well!!!
So now the all my contacts are in outlook (where i didn't want them to be in the first place).
What i want to do is transfer them back to the phone but without synchronization otherwise i'll be back to square 1 and as soon as i delete that partnership they'll be gone!

I found a workaround:
1) create sync partnership with active sync including contacts
2) sync contacts back to phone
3) PIM Backup contacts
4) remove contacts from ActiveSync sync options (which will indeed delete all contacts from phone)
5) restore backed up contacts with PIM

Delete and Outlook Email Account?

My wife bought a HD7 and was wondering how to delete an outlook email account she set up and did not want in the end. I've tried looking online and through videos on how-to's....and can't not find how to delete the account so she can set up another one....
Anyone have an answer? Please

settings > system [pivot, should already be on this] > emails & accounts... press + hold on the account you want to delete and it should have a delete option.
Note: if it is the windows live account which was bound to the phone upon phone set up, you cannot delete it and the only way to change to a different windows live account for the phone is to hard reset through settings > system > about > reset your phone. As a result, this will wipe your phone though, so only do this if absolutely required, and ensure you have used zune to sync your pictures/videos/music.

[Q] How to disable email synchro but keep contacts / calendar synchro enabled

Hi,
I'd like to have a button that would enable / disable GMAIL synchronization only. All other synchro I'd like to have always enabled.
Now in 4.4.4 I have button that enables / disables all synchro.
I know that I can edit account synchro and uncheck gmail synchro - I would prefer something more effective such simple button.
Do you guys now how can I achieve that?
I'm currently on 4.4.4, CM nightly, using xposed, rooted.

Cannot set individual sync options in Google account?

Apologies if this the the wrong place for this. I had to reflash my phone after messing up the install with Xposed and set everything back up.
I use Google Inbox for my main email and Gmail for work and secondary account. Previously, I could set individual sync options within the account. Meaning, I could go into my main gmail account, and click an option to not sync Gmail and leave the option to sync Inbox.
Now, when I select my main account there are no options to enable/disable syncing.
I'm going to Settings > Cloud and accounts > Accounts > [my email address] > Sync account
Prior to having to reflash CRE4, the option to set the sync options individually were there.

I don't have the toggles like my wife has.

Found it. In case anyone else has this happen, go to the Gmail app, select the hamburger icon at top left, click Settings, select the account, then Settings and un-chech Sync Gmail.
Then the toggles appear as they should in Accounts after clicking Sync Account.
Absolutely stupid that this was required.
