Ebay Bluetooth GPS - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Accessories

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4668&item=5774089779&rd=1
Will this work with my XDA2 ?
I already have software!

Well it says it supports standard serial profile so I would say yes, obviously no guarantees though.

I never bought from e-bay, is there a return policy due to incompatibility (sorry if this is a stupid question)?

That would have to be between you and the seller you bought from and thier return policy, if they have one. But do what I do, just ask before you bid or buy. Most of the sellers are good about answering any qusetions about thier auctioned products. I hope this helps.

UK price - Online for £359.88...

..delivered next day, seems a good price or a mistake as it appears to be £110 cheaper than anywhere else, or are prices on the way down.

Sorry, yes, edited original post.
BUMP!!!
...and, Doh!!! I paid £480 for mine about 7 weeks ago. Sigh. I wonder if people have stopped buying them because of some of the possible issues!

You got to love and hate hotdeals.
It is without doubt a bargain, if you want one and can afford it, I believe that people on that site just vote cold on anything they dont want or cant afford or dont understand, shame really.

Thanks for that - i've been waiting for play.com to have a 10% discount which would have only bought the price down to £432(approx).
This is a great price - i only hope they don't say its a mistake as it looks like one (its cheaper than the Diamond which is £363.39).
It Should arrive on Thursday - just ordered it now.

I've decided to give a WM phone a go again and ordered myself.
To start with I'll just use it with a data sim, to see what its like, as you can't knock a blackberry for staying in touch with IM etc, but Im just so bored of the crap browser experience and lack of software like Live Mesh, which I use one hell of a lot to keep things synced.
I'll use both for a few weeks and see how it goes.
Looks like they have discovered it - gone back up to £466.89 without postage.
Good thing i bought mine
LOL! I don't feel so sick now ; )
spark9990, when your new pro arrives, please could you take a look at what version ROM it ships with now? (start/settings, system tab, device information - though I'm sure you'll know that already). Congratulations on getting such a great price!!!

Yes and mines on tracking so give them credit for keeping the price for those that bought.
I've used them many times actually and they always have been good.

They've cancelled my order - twats. Can they do that?
Mine as well, mine was at the delivery depot.
Not even a offer of a good will gesture, I'm going to check out if they can do that, especially I can prove it was out for delivery.

Had they sent emails to you both confirming dispatch? If so then then I guess they had entered into a contract with you... talk to Trading Standards for a firm answer....

I don't have proof of that - but i do have a receipt, and they did take money out of my account.
Then without my permission carried out a refund transaction. I trying to find out how to contact trading standards but in the mean time i am going to try to reason with sellers.
In a retail store, if a product is tagged as a cheaper price by mistake, then the retailer has to give it at that price.
If Handtec had debited your back account/credit card account, then they had entered into a contract with you to supply that item at that price. Speak to both Trading Standards and Handtec about it and make sure you can demonstrate that they had taken your dosh. All you did is select a product on Handtec's website in good faith and, for their part, it would appear that they too entered into that contract to suppply it, so I suggest they honour it!
EDIT: http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk, and they should have an entry in your local phone book. Kent is 0845 7585497 (just in case - good luck!)

Thats not true. Most big stores (such as Tesco) will sell you at the quoted price for the good will. By Law they infact have something like 24 hours to correct the price once notified by a customer, during which time they can sell at a different price than is quoted.
That is really bad!
I thought maybe it had something to do with stock levels, but if it got to the depot, you think they would have realised!
Hope you get a response from them or Trading Standards

I would think, that even if you bought it from an internet shop, they should have e-mailed you some sort of invoice or payment received with an order number and things.
I order from internet shops all the time, and every delivered order comes with a receipt, and also an e-mail notification.
If you don't have one, you should contact the internet shop and demand it. The order should include the information about the tablet, serial number, etc.

Thanks for advice.
But things go different in China. Most electronic products are made in China, then sold overseas at first. After 2-3 months or even half of an year, the products finally come to China's. Here another problem comes, we should face much more expansive price, about 30%-60% higher than abroad market.
People smuggle the products and sell them on the Internet Shop, it's illegal but most of youths like buying it, 'coz we can get the expective device early, and the price is acceptable, too.
There're no packs, guidebook, receipt, invoice, and no guarantee as well.
I can just got one tab, USB cable and charger, that's all I get from Internet vendor. (Most of Internet vendor in China are personal owned, not like Amazon)

Yeah, that's what I thought. Here in Moscow, we call it the "gray" market.
I had a small issue with my 701 as well (probably for the same brick as you). It was so new to the Russian market it wasn't in the Federal database for a couple of days. But all is well, and should get it back this or next week.
Sorry I can't help you on the warranty thing. I suppose you registered it on Acer's site when you first got it and went through the setup wizard?
But as you say, they want a receipt. Not sure why, as it's clearly so new, the warranty should still be good. You will just have to argue nicely with them.

It's possible NVFlash would help, but as far as I know, Acer won't release an SBK generator for the 51x or 70x. And, it probably wouldn't help with the corrupted memory blocks. This is why they changed the mainboard. Seems it's the only thing thay can do.
Glad you got your tab fixed

Technically, the warranty is not by Google - it is by LG. Google will handle returns/replacements within the first 15 days.
According to LG, the warranty is for 12 months for the original purchaser.

Sorry - can't say because I haven't tried it. I suspect it will be ok if you have original receipt since all LG would really care about is the purchase date to figure out whether it is still under warranty or not, but I don't know if they will check purchaser name as well. You could check with Google/LG to be sure, but I'm pretty sure they will give you the legal answer
Just out of curiosity, why are you buying from ebay instead of the play store? Is it significantly cheaper there? I just glanced thru' some of the postings there and they all seem to be selling over $400 (buy it now)

The price in the Play Store is almost 450, with taxes and shipping, and there are options for less than that.
Moreover, I am having trouble ordering from the Play Store as I am not a resident of the USA, and only sending it to a person there. I know that the ebay order will get there, unlike the Play Store order which is still pending and can be dropped at any moment.

[Q] Buying a nexus 5 1 question

Hi, new to the forums and want to ask a question as maybe there are people here who will be able to help me.
I want to buy a nexus 5, and currently I'm looking at one on ebay for £50 less than the price on the google store. I asked the seller whether it comes with warranty and he said no as its being imported from outside the UK, however he said its a Genuine LG Nexus 5 even though its from hong kong (now you see my concern)
£290, is it worth risking it for a possible fake? (if there are fakes out there that is)
Thanks,
Rús

Pay the extra 50. It's worth it for the peace of mind and warranty. If it is a fake or it has a problem with it, it's going to be a nightmare and it's going to cost you much more to get it fixed.

Best place to buy in the UK?

Is there a goto place to buy in the UK with a UK warranty?
Had a nightmare with oneplus and wont' buy chinese again until they have some local presence.
The Honor 8 in blue looks great, so hence the question of where to buy.
vmall.eu looks like its not UK based...
Thanks

Your best bet is to purchase the Honor 8 UK edition thru vmall.eu (https://www.vmall.eu/uk/honor-8-blue-292297/) which includes a warranty (see specifics here: https://www.vmall.eu/uk/warranty-policy/). If you have any other questions regarding the device and warranty policy, please let us know. (NS)

vmall.eu's shipping seems from Expansys?

Notes:
The estimated arrival times are taken directly from information provided by our couriers. These are estimates only, and EXPANSYS are not responsible for any variation.
If selecting a next working day service, goods will need to be signed for. To help, please give a delivery address where someone will be available to sign.

i phoned them and told them I don't need a sim card thanks.. already got one, so got just the phone for 339. If you get told they can't sell them on the phone and online only, then hand up and call back until you get someone who knows what they are doing. took me three attempts. must be why they are called three!
Buying them Honor devices from Three UK you get the same warranty as if bought online via Vmall.UK.So trust assured you good on all accounts and Vmall will deal with you directly once bought.
Got my partners from three today a d on the phone there is like a customer service portal, typed in the imei and she has a two year warranty

Just not clear and although it looks a lovely device, I will steer clear until it becomes clear who i deal with if anything should go wrong.

I think 1 year is good enough already... usually after 1 year, manufacturer will stop/slow down upgrade, at that time, you have to rely on developers from XDA or places alike.

i have to agree here, most places will only offer a year anyway as after this they normally have slowed down production and are at that point concentrating on another product.
if its that much of a problem about aftercare i would personally find good insurance for your phone after the year is up @OP
i have insurance on all my electronics so i never pay a thing for breakdowns etc.
