Hi,
How do i go about saving all my contacts to my SD Card, can save pictures and files but having problems with contacts.
did you find a solution?
Im after a similar thing?
Thanks,
Not sure it's possible on the move. But why don't you just sync with Outlook then export the contacts list (File >> Import and Export).
because i have 650 devices to do this with, and i want to manage the contacts on each device from a central location.
its a pain in the
use x-backup, and select "contact only" and pick ur storage card as the destination
but does that make the "live location" for contacts storage the storage card?
Or just generate a backup
Cheers

Dear all,
Is it possible to sync (or store) the Pocket outlook data on storage card? I can't find any setting about this; however is it possible for me to make it via any tweak (like registry modification)?
Let me explain why I need to do this. I understand that when device failed, I can always sync PIM to new PDA with outlook on notebook or desktop computers. However my secnario is that if I can store Pocket outlook (PIM) data on the storage card, I will not need my notebook or desktop. I can just put the storage card into a new PDA, and I can have all the info. I may leave notebook in home, but will carry PDA all the time. This is what I thought for this.
Thanks for reading this post and your kindly assist.

if it's the same type of device you can just use xbackup or spirite backup to backup and restore your data from the sd card
the thing about putting active programs and data on sd cards is they have a limited nr of writes they can do before they die
and most programs cant cope with their storage being removed run time
which you can do when it's on a sd card
sd cards are disabled when the device is off to save power
if you get a mail or sms when the device is off the sd is off too
Dear Rudegar,
Thanks for the reply. It looks like there is no way to store PIM in the storage card. I will try to test another solution, eg. to sync with Exchange server directly. The only issue to sync with Exchange is that it is not so easy to find wireless access point.

Hi,
Is there a way with activesync to synchronize the "My Documents" folder located on the storage card instead of synchronizing with the one in the memory ? I would like to move all my documents form the rom to the µSD.
Thanks in advance.
I think you will need additional software to sync non default folders. Intellisync and Mobisync spring to mind.
did you check this?

Is there a way I can edit my contacts which are stored in Outlook on the device but edit them and add new contacts via the computer in a sort of spreadsheet format?
Note: I do not store contacts on the sim card itself
hi everybody,is this possible? after i sync all my accounts from google i found my old sim card with a lot of losted numbers then i just copy/import all that numbers from sim to phone memory and there are all together now but when i sync that new contact does not appear when i log on to my gmail account on computer

Go to setting, accounts and sync. Manually sync contact by toggling the check mark off and on again.

What rom are you using? Some roms gives you the ability you save your contacts to your sd card (vcf format I think) once you do that. Go to your contacts from your email, click on more and it should give you the option of importing contacts from file, choose your vcf file saved on your sd card and it will add your new numbers to your list
hello, i have a doc file with thousands of phone numbers, and i was wondering if there's a way to transfer all those numbers to my android device?
If you set the file format up properly in a csv you should be able to import them into your gmail account on a PC which should then sync to your phone.

I've also seen apps that will export and import CSV files from your SD card. Just search the market for "contacts csv" and you will find several.
