voice command for Voice Command :)) - General Topics

Is there a way to start Microsoft Voice Command with a voice command?
I don't like to press a butten to do a command.
Maybe a workaround with another app?
Thx!

but then the other app would to include all the same voice recognition as voice command does
it would be about as big as voice commander and use as much memory
and use cpu because it would have to listen for the special start voice command command

i know what you mean, the old ms voice for win98 already had the option to say "computer", folowed by a "ding!" from the computer to acknowledge that the computer is ready for a command. (bit like startrek)
does anybody know if it is also posible to start voicecommands with the button on the headset? thisway it would be an exelent remote for media player when you have your phone in your pocket.

XDAII + Bluetooth headset + MS Voice Command ???

I've not got my XDAII yet.....but curious to know whether this setup works, i.e. XDAII installed with MS Voice Command and wearing the Bluetooth headset - do the voice commands work ok through the headset down to the XDAII or do the commands have to be spoken to the XDAII directly ? Also, is it necessary to have to push a button on the XDAII before you speak to it - or does it listen all the time ?
Thanks for your help,
Nutz
Voice Command doesn't work with a Bluetooth headset.
You need to press a button on the XDA2 to invoke VC and make it accept a command. This must be because it's so sophisticated that if it listened all the time, it would a) run your battery down, and b) hear commands that you didn't intend.
but even....
so, there is no way to make my XDA II work as my old SonyEricsson T610 (on SE T610 - when I perss button on headset and say voice command into it and than it repeats me that command for check and running it...) - no way to achieve even half of this on XDA II ?
( )
I understand it can be done using the supplied wired headphone, but no, not with bt headset. Too bad!
is this the same as voice dialing ?
my bluetooth headset manual says to press the button and speak the command to dial the contact
this is a Sony-Erricsson HBH-35
surely some software somewhere for the XDAII would support this ?

MS Voice Command Handsfree

Hi !
I'm trying the demo version of MS Voice Command, and I would like to know if there is a command to start a call in handsfree mode :
Ex : CALL JOHN SMITH AT HOME HANDSFREE
or something like that.
It can be usefull to do so when giving a call when driving : only one button (activate MS VC).

Deactivate Voice Command

Hi folks
sometimes it's very annoying when one switched off the voice command because he doesn't like it but everytime a bluetooth headset connects, the voice command gets re-activated again automaticly.
How to switch off it completely?

Bluetooth button remap, or Bluetooth voice dialing with voice tags.

I am fighting for some hours for this one on the device and searching google/xda but I don't seem to be able to solve it alone.
I want to execute an application when I press the bluetooth button. (OR) Find a voice dialing utility that supports bluetooth voice dialing with voice tags.
My current setup works okay for MSVC with bluetooth. Whenever I press the bluetooth button MSVC pops up but it is worthless for me because my contact names are not in English so I need something with voice tags.
I've found 3 relevant registry keys but none of them worked for me:
"HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway" "BTAGExtModule" = "path to a dll"
"HKLM\Sftware\OEM\VoiceCommand" "LaunchAPEnable" = "path to an executable"
"HKLM\ButtonApps\Microsoft\Voice Command" "AppFilePath" = "path to an executable" and "Parameters"
First, the Bleutooth Audio Gateway dll is mapped to one that comes with MSVC (vcbthag.dll). This particular dll will detect the bluetooth button being pressed and will lauch MSVC. Changing the aftermentioned registry keys pointing to the MSVC executable will not lauch another application when I press the button. Deleting voicecmd.exe and putting in place my executable (tricking vcbthag.dll to execute mine) doens't work at all (nothing happens).
On xda I found another Bluetooth Audio Gateway dll named BTAGExtModule.dll. Changing HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway to that dll will make all audio pass through bluetooth (where with vcbthag.dll this happens only for a couple of seconds when MSVC is active) but no application is executed when I press the bluetooth button. A mystery to me is that using this dll when I try to record something through the bluetooth mic and then try to listen to what I've recorded, playback is very fast and high (in tone) like it's been played at 10X speed (I guess a wrong sample rate is to blame for that but I don't know why).
Pressing the button to start MSVC then start an application by saying the command "Start application" doesn't work. The problem is that the bluetooth mic isn't used after the called application starts (MSVC has exited so mic and audio is returned to the device).
So is there a solution? If MSVC can detect the bluetooth button being pressed why it doesn't work with any other executable? Do I need a different Audio Gateway dll to start my own application? Why is this so difficult while devices costing 50€ can do this out of the box?
Please don't tell me to just use MSVC. It just doesn't work for non-english names. I need something with voice tags that can be executed with the bluetooth button. Of course that means that audio and microphone input should be channeled to the bluetooth headset while pressing the button.
Thanks in advance.
if i'm not mistaken you can use Cyberon Voice SpeedDialer

I tried that too, but the initial problem is that I can't make any program launch successfully with the bluetooth button except MSVC.

Thanks but this is for wired headsets, not bluetooth (I've seen that thread again and it would be quite convenient to work for bluetooth too).
We have the same problem. For non-english name, it's very difficult to make a right call. I search for solution on internet but i only found the solution to replace Voice Dial with Voice Command. You should upgrade your firmware with a ROM version content Voice Speed Dial.
