I work for T-mobile UK and trying to find MMS settings for phones we dont do is a nightmare!!! Ive looked on the forum and cannot find the settings.
I can connect to the internet fine using:
APN: general.t-mobile.uk
username= user
password= one2one
I want to set up MMS on the XDA 2 for T-mobile UK. I need to know the following:
Server Name
Gateway
Server Address
(and also anything else relevant to setting up the XDA2 with the T-mobile UK network)
If anyone can solve my problem I will give them a PERMANENT 50% cut in their T-mobile UK line rental. (Its good being staff! )
Cheers, this is what I used, and it worked.
Here you go
Server name: t-MobileUK
Gateway: 149.254.211.10
Server Address: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
For the gateway IP you may want to play around with putting a 0 in before the 10. Sometimes the MMS client does not like the zero so I did not post it. I use my XDA II in the uk and the states. Works like a charm. and I have T-Mobile! Let me know if it works for you.
Mikee
Thank you very much! It worked!
If you wish to have any T-mobile line rental cut, private message me with Your name, your address and postcode, your T-mobile UK number and your password for accessing your account (if you have one)
Ill do the rest then get back to you when Ive added the discounts.
Thank you.
Finally I can set up MMS on my XDA II.
I'm also a T-Mobile employee. Dont understand why T-Mobile dont bring out the XDA in the UK.....maybe thats why we have to get O2 ones and get them unlocked.
We are due to launch the MDA 3 soon. The reason that we didnt take the MDA or MDA2 on in the UK was because we didnt think that the UK market was ready for these sort of devices. Lets face it, joe bloggs has only just given up his nokia 3310 and is beginning to dabble in picture messaging!
I dont think ill upgrade to the MDA 3 tho. I dont see it as a significant upgrade. an integrated keyboard is nice but i have a snap-on keyboard that does the job.
Ugh. Trying to find out how I can install my root certificate onto these WM2005 devices.
Certchk doesn;t work any more and I can't change anything in the registry (apparently the reg editor would have to be signed by the operator?!)
Can anyone help? Otherwise I have the alternative of buying an expensive certificate (bloody rip-off!) or sending this nice phone back!

Hi I got an I-Mate SP5 / (HTC Tornado), and have the same problem.
Please add your thoughts to this thread if you come closer to a solution.
I have tried to change SecurityPolicy like on the 2003 device with no luck..
I have tried to change policy direct in registry + with some freeware tools.
Running out of ideas... ;/ I really don't want to pay bucks to be able to use install own software on my own phones, and use own root CA certs.. it is just annoying.. The security model should be as on ppc.. og atleast possible to manipulate manually in a configuration stage.
try attached file.
I got a package of debug tools
I can see many other files for installing certificate something in it.
I think this should be enough to install software.
Thanks fly,
Didn't try your file, but I did find out how to get it working.
I posted it in another forum... (do a google for "fergus certificate disable" amd the first one comes up with it.) Seems to work, at least for me.

Try this:

On Imate.com there is now a specific program for installing the certificate for the SP5. I have sometime read, that this program is OEM specific, so I don't think that it will work on a Qtek 8310.
whatever I do - can't make it work
Trie it on mt Qtek branded Torndo. Followed all directions to the letter, used same self administered certificate working OK on my Qtek 9000 and IMate PDA2K... doesn't work, anybody has a clue ?

thx
Saar
It works
Actually Following above instructions work. I just mispelled our incredibly long domain name
Upload Imate Utility
Can someone upload the Imate Chertificate utility to the FTP site or attach it to a message here, or PM it to me. I have the new T-Mobile SDA, so I can't get the file from Imate's site and it does not appear to be on Imate's FTP server.
TIA

I Found It.
Here it is
Didn't Work on T-Mobile SDA
The i-mate utility would not run on my US T-Mobile branded Tornado (SDA). However, the instructions in the linked thread above worked perfectly. Thanks. I'm now syncing with my exchange server and my own generated certificate with ease.

Disabling certificates
Is there a way to simply disable certificates?
If not how the f#@k do I get a simple program in visual studio onto my phone.
I have added the Microsoft_Visual_Studio_Remote_Tools.cer to my app.
I have used regedit to set the propeties as above.
I have installed Microsoft_Visual_Studio_Remote_Tools.cer to my device.
When I try to compile the app I get the error saying security is stopping the install.
I am obviously do not understand what goes where.
Anyone have a idiot level step by step guide to get the thing working.
Hurry up about to hang myself

Greetings from Ukraine!
I expect to receive Cingular 2125 soon and would like to ask a question. Since our MS Exchange Server uses our own security certificate I will have to add our root certificate into Cingular 2125. I have successfully done that several times for HTC MTeoR using SP_AlowCertificateInstall.
Can somebody advise whether it may also be possible to unlock Cingular 2125 by means of SP_AlowCertificateInstall to be able to install our certificate?
If not and as posts in this topic are rather old perhaps you know some “nowaday” method to add security certificates into Cingular 2125?
Hey All,
Doing some hacking here...
My company only supports Verizon phones connecting to out Intellisync environment for access to our Exchange environment. Well I'm a Cingular user and don't want to switch. I've gotten a co-worker to grab the Verizon Wireless Sync software from the Verizon web page (rebranded Intellisync product) for me but it's only the WM2003 version. This version does actually work well, but I'm looking for WM5 perfection!
For all their WM5 phones the web site says "included in your phone" so what I was hoping for is that some nice soul with either a Samsung i830 (I know wrong forum) or a xv6700 (Apache) might be able to extract out the Wireless Sync CAB file and post it or shoot me a link or PM.
If not does anybody know where to get the latest WM5 version of Verizon's Wireless Sync product or maybe the Intellisync counterpart?
Any help appreciated - there's got to be more than one way to skin a corporate email system.
Thanks,
-JMS
You can find it here...
I posted the cab installer in the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=43555
It will give you what you need - and is the full client, not the cripled one VZW offers. Use it on my 8125 and other WM5 devices...even those that talk to the VZW wireless sync server.
If you have the VZW client installed you should uninstall before installing this one.
Regards - John
Wow, once again the folks on this board are awesome.
Thanks so much, I'll give it a whirl, I really appreciate the help!
-JMS
Hey chybinj,
That worked beautifully, much smaller and better designed for WM5 than that older sync client I had.
Thanks again for your quick help.
-JMS
My pleasure...glad to help - I know my head hurt from all the whacks on my desk casued by previous versions.
If I get a newer version I will repost...may get an upgrade our server in a few weeks.
Regards - John

Might help if you told us who your carrier was
But yeah, as stated above, check the 2nd post of my XM6 thread as I have cabs and pointers to various cariers... If you find one I don't have, let me know and I'll update it.
thank you for your replies, I am from the Philippines and I am using Globe Carrier. Before with my WM5 I have this auro config from my menu, and from that I got to choose the network available with it autosearching.

suncom cab fiile
hey,
i have SunCom and I am constantly flashing new roms to my wizard. Is there a cab file that will automatically input the correct mms/internet settings so that I don't have to re-enter it time and time again? Also, if there is not a cab file in existence already, how do I make a cab file with those settings?
Hi, was hard for me to find via search engine the latest info about a big issue/problem with the internet settings for the Polaris/Htc Touch Cruise.
As you know O2 says always that is not supported.
But I was able to buy bolton at 7.50 pounds per month and use google maps, internet explorer, just the weather do not update.
I lost the settings, and I would find again the settings because now on Diamond I have a bigger problem!!! seem that on Diamond I will be not able to surf at all, and because I needed the O2 tariffs to call abroad, this is very sad for me and problematic to switch to 3, Tmobile, Vodafone that are expensive for calls abroad.
Are you surfing with O2 payandgo as I was able to do it, if yes, can you please post me the settings?
Do you have any solutions for the same problem on the Diamond, always with O2 uk?
thanks in advance
I solict forum angels to help please, for sure a lot of people from London here, and O2 is famouse here, so I please to help again! thanks
