Hi guys
I'm presently with 3 and have the Motorola 925! I have to admit that after owning an XDA the 925 has to be the worst phone on the planet (my personal view).
So I'm in the market for a new phone and I believe the XDA lll is now available?
If so, I wonder if someone could give me some information?
1. Can the XDA lll be used on the 3 network? My 3 SIM was recentley replaced to stop me using it in my XDA 1.
2. Are there any deals around? 3 give me 500 free minutes cross networks for £25pm
3. As I've been 'out of the market' for over a year now, is there anything better than the XDA lll ?
I hope this is the corect group to post this - my apologies if not!
Regards
John

I know things have changed since back in the day, but does this now mean XDA-Developers in now fully legit?
There is no way this is real.

That's really funny. But seriously the website does have so many well written tutorials.

It does not surprise me really
We have been always a reference, since 2003
it just shows how poor their capability of handling customer concerns.
thumps up for xda though for being able to provide what we need.

Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I've been on XDA so for give me if this is in the wrong place. As It covers both devices and is not related to development activities as such I thought this would be the correct location.
Anyway I have had my eye on the TF700 for quite a while then the nexus 7 was released though I am still leaning in the direction of the TF700 but I want to get other peoples opinions on the matter, especially from anyone who has had a chance to use both. So please if anyone has experiance with two device I would really like to hear your comments, and or suggestions.
Also does anyone in the UK now what shops are demoing these devices, i will be checking out my local carphone warehouse this weekend to see if they have the nexus 7 as I don't think anywhere has the TF700 in the UK yet.
Anyone got insider info on what shops maybe stocking the TF700?
Thanks for your time and will see you on the forums.
Cheers
Hey there, I think you may want to put this in Q and A but I think a mod will be about to do it anyway. And there are many threads dedicated to x or y type question.
Welcome back to XDA if you haven't had a welcome back yet.
Anyway, I would say get the nexus 7. Support and updates for that would be through the roof. It is also great value for money.
Sorry If that isn't what you wanted. Hope you enjoy your purchase anyway.
Please use the **Device Suggestions Thread**

Thanks will ask the question in the thread mentioned above; If a Mod wants to kill this one that be fine by me.
Get the nexus 7
nexus 7!!! obviously
Well answer the question yourself by answering these questions.
Do you want a bigger screen or better portability?
Do you want something with a large memory capacity without anything hanging off it? Or cloud if you have good bandwidth?
Do you want more power for future games ie 1-2 years from now?
What ports do you need?
Do you want frequent updates, and lots of development?
Do you want to spend the extra cash?
Both are good devices, but you're comparing apples with oranges, so pick a fruit

Best method to import to UK from USA
Hello, forgive me if this is a common question but searching doesn't yield much info.
I'm considering a Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 Tablet new or second hand but really want the USA spec as I believe the UK model has less features such as IR Blaster.
Can anyone advise best procedure to get one delivered to the UK from USA. I mean is eBay a good option or do some suppliers specialise in this type of thing. I just worry a little with regards to safe delivery and reliability.
Thanks
2nd Post
Found a UK supplier of refurbished by Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 models with the IR Blaster.
I mailed them to confirm and they replied that these were the US models with IR, at a good price but I worry how good a quality these would be.
Has anyone bought refurbished that can advise ?

I have bought a used one. (used = refurbished) At the prices they cost that seems the best way to buy. I got mine off eBay..
I just bought one from Expansys !
Thanks for all the opinions it's appreciated, makes buying a little easier!

Apparently that $200 deal for students is only for certain schools. Anyone have a list of which schools?
I suppose we could start a thread (or dedicate this thread) to posting results of actually calling each school and asking. Is anyone interested in creating such a list?
Well the offer only applies if you go to that school so your probably best off just dropping a phone call to your school and asking yourself.

DOH!
Just realized that the rebate auction is now over.
My school (Henallux in Belgium) has joined the program. We got the mail last Wednesday from our MS teacher, but it seemed it was impossible to order online. So I had to find a retail store which had available Surfaces.
And I did ! Last Friday I found the very last RT of my area.
So, it took me only 2 days to get it ! And I'm very happy with it !
I have been googling but its kind of hard to find real posts from sponsored ones through google. I'm going to be purchasing a phone today and was wondering what is roughly the best phone out there for its cost.
It would have to be purchased through T-Mobile, US Region, and price should be about $700 - $750 max preferably. Battery life and screen size would probably be the priority. Its for my wife and she doesn't really care about how powerful it is. Hopefully this is the right place to post and I'm not breaking any rules lol Thank you!
