Yesterday I installed PocketHotmail 2.5 beta, and I just can't get the critter to work on my Qtek S110. After following the instructions exactly, I still can't authorize the account.
Does anyone know of a program that gives Hotmail support to the Inbox program? Or maybe a program that can replace Inbox (perhaps even with a function that lets me send and recieve mail for all my accounts with one click)?
Thanks in advance !
Why dont you try Pocket MSN, its built-in with any Windows Mobile device. Just sign-in, enter your hotmail e-mail add and password, thats it. Hotmail account will automatically be added to the messaging accounts once signed-in. Cheers.
pocket msn is just too big and overloaded. a simple tool like pockethotmail (costs 5 dollar) is definitely the better solution.
i've tried it too with no success. i already contacted the developer yesterday but have no reply yet, i'll let you know what he says, ok?
cheers, lutz
Hi guys, thanks for your replies. I've already tried a new program called HTTPmail provider wich works perfect. The only thing is the function that says "download headers only" does not disable the attachments. Oh well, it gets the job done! Hope you guys can use it as well .
Yes, I use Http hotmail, and it's works properly for me too.
See you
hey guys....
what is this http hotmail ?? is it http://www.hotmail.com or is it a program named http hotmail if its a program called http hotmail could someone please post it caz ive googled it to no result.....
thanks
The program is called HTTPmail Provider and enables you to use Hotmail in your Inbox.
So it's HTTPmail Provider .
just downloaded it from pocketgear.com.....thanks have'nt tried it as yet will see how it works
regards
Alright! If you need any help, let me know . The only problem with the program is that it downloads attachments automatically, but I do have an older version .
alrite mate.....if any prob will surely let u know....

i cannot download hotmail emails..... i have a @hotmail.co.uk account would this have any effect ?
regards
is HTTP mail working for you guys on WM6.1?
Thanks
try this
When adding a new account I entered [email protected] in the email address box. This allowed me to get to the next available settings needed to configure the account. Once I configured and setup the account, I went back into the account settings and changed the email address to [email protected]. Works now
is this for the login too? or just the reply email address?
thanks
Not for login
I used all of my correct info for the login. Incoming server is pop3.live.com and outgoing is smtp.live.com in case you wonder.
I'm making progress!
at least it now asks for my password. but it keeps saying it's wrong.
are you using HTTP mail or pocket hotmail at all?
Looks like I don't need to use those programs anymore.
Thanks!
Conversetion is complicated .... To continue
Good
My trinity died to early, but happy with my Raphael
Right now I am configuring my device. But somehow I can't figure out how to use a gmail pop server.
When I use my gmail adres it automaticly use the imap protocol, but I like to use pop3. With my trinity there was no problem with gmail and the pop server.
Anyone any idea ??

And used it with my trinity.....no problem at all.
@Blob8me
Push e-mail is not where I am looking for.
But think I will give it a look and try it......thanks !
If it's not letting you use pop3, enter a incorrect adress on the first screen (something like [email protected]) so it doesn't try to download the settings. Then, you can manually enter the pop3 settings.
Use the settings from here to configure it.

I tried that, thanks for your suggestion, but for incoming I have to use SSL wit port 995 and for outgoing port 465. I don't know how to set that.
As I can remember my Trinity recognize the settings for Gmail automaticly and let me choose pop or imap.

I guess the default settings have been changed in the ROM, or by GMail...
For ports, I think you can put "smtp.gmail.com:465" or whatever it actually is.

That's odd... When I first tried to set up Gmail with POP3 (mind you it was some time ago) but I think the Gmail site said POP3 was not accessible, and to use IMAP. My bad.

I changed my image regular. Never had a problem with gmail.
Now Imap gives me not the possibility to keep my messages on the server, I can only delete them or send them to the trash can.
Pop3 is available in my country
Be my guest and give it a look

Hello,
We have an Exchange 2003 SP2 server with mobile features enabled and we are trying to setup HTC touch HD for connecting to that server for receiving the emails in "Push" mode.
I followed the HTC manual and enabled the required settings, but I'm not sure what to do next. The instructions there are minimal.
Can anyone help with referring me to an explanation of the entire process, i.e. step-by-step configuration on the phone and on the server and troubleshooting steps?
thank you in advance,
David
Do you have OWA enabled in your Exch Svr? Just put the owa.xxx.com to your HTC setting. Then enter the ID, password and domain for the user. Check the SSL if you applied for the cert. That should be good as I'm using this kind of setting.
Hello horacehkm,
Thank you for your reply. Would you kindly elaborate?

Which HTC Seetings page/screen should I put it at?

How do I know the domain? Where in HTC should I do that?

We didn't buy a certificate for this domain. Is the self-signed certificate enough or must we buy one?
Thanks a lot,
David

Mail selection
Sorry to post under this thread, but I don't know where to post...
Is there a way to select multiple mails with 1 single touch (maybe sliding?)?
I haven't found an easy way...
Then, is there a way to empty the deleted items directory without tapping on every single mail?
Thanks for the answers!

Have a Blackberry 8520. Trying to validate Yahoo email. Message pops up as "Your device encountered a problem with the application's server. Select ok and repeat the action to try again".
Device worked fine up to a few days ago when I changed Yahoo password. Desktop application working fine.
Any suggestions how to get my device to sync with Yahoo?
Many thanks

Not real sure. This is a company issued blackberry and some apps turned off. I was able to install Yahoo when I first got the phone and it has worked perfectly for months. Problem when I changed yahoo password on desktop and bb asking me to validate.
Thanks for your help.
Solution (worked for me)
Hello:
So I'm at work with my partner's Blackberry.
Do the following:
Open Blackberry full menu
Setup
Email Settings
Select/Navigate to your Yahoo e-mail
Press Blackberry Botton
Edit
Go to "Login Information"
Retype your new password
If this doesn't work tell me.
So did you try that? what happened?
No I'm back to the beginning. BB is asking me to validate the Yahoo mail password. That's when I get the error message.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks,
