The MAN OF YEAR IS ! - General Topics

Buzz Lightyear
It is very hard to descibe my happiness, today since after a month that my PDA crash, and almost 4 days of hardworking from Buzz Lightyear he succeed to reinstall a ROM into my dead Qetk 9090... this man is amazing !
I love PPC community since there is ALWAYS someone who will come to you when you got a PB, and who will do EVERYTHING in order to help you, You cannot imagine how long it was to done what he have done, and this without anything else in mind but just to help and give something to someone (me) without asking anything in return....
Once again, Buzz
a 1000 thanks !

)
...absolutely no problem. It was my pleasure ))
Actually, Daimaou is the most cooperative and patient person in the world )))
have a nice day
buzz

Cross fingers everybody!

Let's just all hope it all works with wm2k5 for our magicians, so we can rest in peace
Hi!
I just sent a pm to Buzz and asked him to release the rom. Now we have to wait for his answer. So I will cross my fingers too, maybe we will be able to install WM2005 today! I can´t wait any longer.
Guys, I don't think there's any need to PM buzz.
I'm sure he's had more than one PM saying "I'll help you test it". You know the guy works as fast as super-humanly possible, so let him get on with it and don't make him respond to PMs.
some news would be nice tho! Can't say I ever thought we'd see the day, but there's no reason why it shouldn't be available, given the recent leaks...
All appendages duly crossed in anticipation...
V
no news yet
Oh man, i won´t be buzz - I think he gets a ton of mails like send me the wm2k5...
@buzz
By the ways, what means no news yet?
NO NEWS YET means that unfortunately the guy is not giving us any further information. That meaning he's not able or he does not want to tell us anything else on this subject.
That 'YET' at the end of the sentence makes me look forward to reading a reply from him in the near future. Whether positive or not I don't know.
I couldn't translate it any better !
(considering that English is not my mother-tongue )
guys.. after all those roms are illegal as you know those thing appear and from nowhere and nobody should know where it came from
just wait a few hours, days, weeks and it will be on your favorite ftp server
This will hopefully be the place to be ....
1) Go to http://buzzdev.net
2) Login (IMPORTANT)
3) Click on Downloads » Magician » ROMs » Windows Mobile 2005
... or if you're already a member, simply go here and press F5 as fast as you can ...
http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=83&Itemid=32
Nothing there yet...
...and still nothing... (((
Buzz can u tell us what's the main problem? u don't have the rom yet or there are some problems with it?
Please relax everybody, Buzz has kids, a beautiful wife that let him work on the BA2005 rom at night . So give him time on removing keys etc from the original rom dump so that it wont be the last leaked rom that we get.....
Well afaik the guy who got the wm5 rom and buzz made a deal, buzz send another guy to get the rom coz the owner of the rom has a crappy internet connection and had a serious injury. and it looks like they both live in different countries so it will take some time to get the rom finally in his hands. so we all now wait for further news about it. its exciting tho waiting like this  good luck to u all.

I believe buzz has been working on blueangel's wm5 last week, and i'm really impressed with the work done by buzz. He actually the hero of BA WM5, so I believe buzz will help you guys at his best as well.
That's all I wanna say
Thanks for the BA WM5 (buzz, rudra, mamaich, and all other people who are involved)

And in near future (by God will only) we will say:
Thanks for the Magician WM5 (buzz, raport, "the anonymous who travel to raptor to get the rom").
Plz all of u relax and don't push on the hero "buzz" and raptor (pray for sake of his illness) they do their best. few days ago, all of us were having no hope ragrding wm5 on our magician, now they gave us some light of hope. So, we must thank them and waith them to make this hope a realistic thing. They are volunteers and we don't pay them for that work, and they have all of the tools of the play. So, please don't scratch their sensitive skin. I am sure that they will not delay one minute intentionally more than the actual time required for the work, they have enough idea about how we eager and in great need for this rom. If u cannot wait silent under that great excitement, so, may u post some encouraging words only, or ask a reasonable questions for raport, but as buzz told in the locked thread, those who does not beleieve that the rom is present, please return to ur ordinary work, and when it become realistic, we will invite u to take it peacefully.
A last question for raptor, is the magician of the person who gave u the rom, was 64 memory or uograded to 128. Thanks a lot.
I really wish I could ask what the status is, but I'm scared that I'll be misinterpreted as unpatient/ungrateful/sceptic, when in actual fact I'm not!
Oh dear! Not enough that Buzz has enough to do in working om WM5 roms (with great experience and sucsess). His homepage crashed today. So not only cross fingers for our WM5 rom. Let`s cross our fingers that Buzz soon will bring up his great homepage again. So don`t worry Buzz, everything will go fine soon 8) .
Thanx for your great work
It's becoming VERY quiet on the subject.......

I'm sorry to hear this coz I have lung cancer that also spread to my brain. The lung cancer was diagnosed in Dec. 05, and the brain tumor in Apr. 07. Radiation and chemo treated the lung cancer, and the brain tumor was removed surgicallly with radiation that followed. According to recent CTs and MRIs results, things looked fine... I wish meschle's father all the best. We both will fight this and be the victor!
My thoughts are with you meschle and my prayers for your father and hotdog53. I wish you both speedy recovery and I know you will make it out of this.
I hope he get well soon.

Feel like you owe someone?
Is there someone/something that changed everything on your device for nothing in return?
What or who revolutionised the way you use your device.

Up until yesterday, I had no idea how to unlock a phone and now my old 6800 is unlocked, has WinMo 6.5, GPS enabled w/ iNav and doesn't look like **** anymore. I read through most of the docs and the process went rather smoothly.
Thanks!

Cheers,
First wow this is an old thread. I wasn't going to touch it, but I was thinking of starting something similar.
It needs to be said that everyone on xda deserves some thanks, for their initiative to become members. Big and small there is great need here and true talent.
I thank everyone who truly helps me. It is remarkable how effectively I can get a question answered. There is enough people and enough talent to recognize all the small problems and tackle the seemingly undo-able.
Its good to reflect on all that has been accomplished here.
MMuzzy's ROM is clean and fast. He's a great guy that does fast good work. I'm really amazed at how active he is and responsive he is to everyone. Kudos man!
Hashcode is an amazing developer who works with many devices. I'm glad he isn't leaving us DROID 3 owners in the dust. Thank again Hash!

A thank you thread to lj50036

I decided to type out a thank you letter to a good friend and a very helpful guru named lj50036
I am sure some/most of you know this person, he is one of the people who helped develop CMB ROM for Asus TF700
The very first time I got my Asus TF700 I was having issues with rooting and flashing it, so I posted a thread on here asking for help and in
little to no time I got a notification and it was lj50036 asking if I needed any help just to send him an e-mail through g-mail, which I did.
Not only did he help me flash and root my tablet but also went through step by step process in helping me! It was genius!
After a month I ended up bricking my tablet! It was frustrating because I use it for school and since I didn't like using a laptop
and loved my Android so much! I decided to post a thread even though it felt hopeless! In just about 10mins I received a notification
regarding my bricked tablet, yup! It was him! lj50036.
Not only did he help BUT! He called from Iowa to Toronto where I live just to help me step by step on unbricking my tablet!
I don't think I have ever met a person online who was this dedicated and humbly patient to help! He is an awesome person folks!
Very kind and generous! This is a huge huge huge huge!!! Thank you to lj50036.
If you guys ever need any Asus tablet related help he is your number one help! In return guys! Please leave him a kind feedback!
Even better! A donation towards his help would be just beautiful! Even though he told me the only thing he wants back from the people is just a kind thank you and feedback! But still! I feel like donating show's your true kind of appreciation!
Remember guys we're all android fans here! Not only that! We're also all friends to one on another.
It was thanks to XDA-Developers for bringing us here and a little bit closer together as humans <- lj50036 taught me that!
So to conclude this! I would like to say thank you thank you thank you!! lj50036 A.k.a Joshua Lynch for patiently guiding me and showing me the way!
For anybody who wants an awesome ROM for their TF700! Please check out this thread here!

Thanks Lynch for taking your time helping us....
WOW
IM SPEECHLESS
OP is right, I'm also amazed when I see people caring and helping with great motivation on this forum. I read a lot of things here and it feels good to see there are passionate people always ready to help others enhance their knowledge. So here's my "thanks" post! Keep up the great work everybody! :highfive:
Thank you, lj50036 !
I initially thought I had bricked my TF700t. Then I found his email address on the Crombi KK thread and decided to shoot him an email to ask for help.
Within 10 minute I had his reply, and in 30 minutes (due mostly to me trying to set up the connection) he was (remotely) configuring my tablet. At first, I couldn't believe this guy's kindness. Then, I couldn't believe his skill.
He spent three hours (yep!) helping me out! He said he wanted nothing in return. He said he enjoyed helping people.
In the end, he made sure I understood well how I should do future installations.
All I can say is: this guy is one of a kind. Stay this way.
Constantin.
These kind of stories are exactly what this world we all live in now need more of and reading one here at xda developers puts a smile on my face. Good on you mate and you're a prime example of what we need more of. Cheers

for all developers

i am just a kid from poor family who has been cheated by friends in buying a bad tablet arnova 10d g3
it was my years of saving and dreams just broke into pieces....and there is no one in the world is trying to help me other than
ask hime he knows...
ask the developer he is best at this
your device is a ****...cant help you..
please close the forum and reopen in another section
no replies..
this is how you a treat a man...just kicking like foot ball?
i came here in internet seeking for developers because ... i thought you guys are better than me...will help me... i am so sad that you all are moking at me and saying ... no more device supports..no roms released ,bad hardware,i dont have the device , so i cant test, i dont want to ruin your device as it is now...
if i were someone like relative wont you ever had try to help me once than saying reasons to avoid me?
animals are best than human beings atleast they stay together helping each other...
i hate you guys... one day you will loose some thing precious by doing *your work as being a developer... your heart will brake and you will think of me... i am cursing upon you all the developers...you will never be worthy as a developer anymore...
go on mocking again seeing this postss
go on and say why dont you scold your friends on cheating...ell they are better than you... atleast they stoood by my side than just mocking around...
i hate you all...
I lay in tears in bed all night. :'(
Pressed Thanks button for your efforts in writing that much
God Bless ya
A little research BEFORE you buy can avoid this next time. And it's nobody's fault here that there's no development for your device.
Disrespectful rant thread closed. :good:
