Hi all. I had the screen on my pixel 7 pro replaced, and now I need to callibrate the fingerprint, but I am stuck on how. I put the phone in fast boot, went to https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps to do it, but it couldnt find software to do it. I installed the usb drivers on my computer. I installed the windows drivers. I turned on developer options on the phone. I turned on usb debugging on the phone. I did look in device manager, and it didnt recognize the phone as a pixel 7. Any help is appreciated.

Did you turn on OEM unlocking in developer options and unlock your bootloader? Because you'll need to to use fastboot.
EDIT: go to settings > security & privacy > device lock > face & fingerprint unlock. Enter your password/pattern/PIN. Go to fingerprint unlock and hit the trash icon, then add a new fingerprint
I did not turn on oem unlocking, but I will try again. When I go yo settings to set up a new finger unlock, it says cant use fingerprint sensor

Hi,
I always used to have full device encryption on my Z5 turned on, but after update to Nougat I'm honestly not sure if it's enabled anymore.
You see, with Android 6.0 the device would always ask me for the encryption pin when turning on, so before Android starts booting up - presumably to decrypt the system partition.
But after upgrading to Nougat it doesn't do that anymore - it just boots right into the system, where obviously it asks me for my pin to unlock the screen, but that lack of the pin input screen on boot is worrying to me.
In the settings, it still says that encryption is enabled.
Does anyone know if if this is expected?

Disable and enable again, thats the reason to always wipe between updates.
Hi, thanks for replying - I don't think I can disable encryption, clicking on the "encrypt device" doesn't do anything. I guess I need to do full wipe, restore from backup, then encrypt again?

I explained my problem bro! i don't might have that knowledge! help me out bro
Hello!
I was disappointed about some missing features in MIUI ( unable to unlock by bluetooth by not Xiaomi devices, no reliable notification LED,.. ) so I decided to flash Android P ( I know, it´s beta, but it´s AOSP ) by using the Xiaomi Flash Tool. I left the button at 'clean and lock', because I don´t wanted to go back in the near future - and this was a big mistake! The tool shown after flashing 'successful', but since then the Mix2s shows 'system destroyed - push power button to switch off' on booting. I get access by fastboot, but the bootloader is now locked....
I´ve tried to get access by deepflash, but the problem is, that if I connect it to USB the phone switches on and shows the mentined message - again and again. I´m not able to switch it off, to get the connection by qualcomm drivers to USB. I tried to push and hold the power button very long, push all buttons together and so on...
Has anyone an advice or can tell me about testpoints of the Mix2s ( if it has? )

When in edl mode, only nop and sig tags can be recevied before authentication.
Thanks!
In this thread, some users speak about test points. There is a photo of it

Edit: Method for Mi Mix 2, maybe this can help you...
http://en.miui.com/thread-1351514-1-1.html
You should send it to customer servt
You can try to contact xiaomi support, they can grant you access to unlock the bootloader without adding an account... However, there were only one or two guys in miui forum who were successful with that, for all the others xiaomi said they can't allow it
What happens when you try to unlock your bootloader? And why cant you unlock it again?
Enter Fastboot and unlock your bootloader again by using xiaomi mi bootloader unlocking tool.
same problem when i've flashed the beta, i had to unlock the bootloader again and the phone boots
Hi, i am trying to put a ROM on my Mi Note 10.
To do this I need to have TWRP.
To do this I have to unlock.
Meanwhile, it's frustrating because I can't find an "how to guide from the beginning" that is exhaustive and has no errors (the last thing I read "download the zip, unzip it and double click on the exe", the exe is not there it's in the zip !) .
So.. Now I do the following points:
1. Mi Account on my phone
1. Enable Developer Settings
1a. Enable USB Debugging
1b. Enable OEM Unlock
1c. Add device in Mi Unlock status in Developer Settings.
2. Unpack MIUI Unlock ( I think correct versione) and log into it
3. Shut down my phone
4. Reboot to Fastboot mode
5. Connect my phone to my PC
6. Launch MIUI UnLock and appear empty grid and... the unlock tool does not work!
I have no error, no message... if I click on REFRESH, or UNLOCK... nothing, really nothing!
Have you got any idea?
Thanks!
PS: sorry for my bad english
Have you install the right driver?

Really I don't know... Have you got a link so I could verify? Thx
U can install the driver over mi flash tool and then look in the device manager that windows use the right driver. When the name not match, install the right over manual install.

Ok I found the issue.
In "MiFlash Unlock" version 5.5.224.24 (from XIAOMI site!) there isn't MiUsbDriver.exe!
Hi! As the title says, my phone is unable to connect to WIFI, I keep on toggling on the wifi icon but it stay disconnected. USB connection seems to take a hit as well as my PC is not recognizing it as well even USB debugging is enabled, I had tried to factory reset the phone to no avail..
Are there anyways I can downgrade to a more stable OS or install a custom one?
Thanks so much!
edit: Phone now fixed! I Had to bring my phone to a cellphone repair shop and he reballed the CPU, problems are now gone. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, I have just enabled it thru OEM unlocking option in the developer menu and logged-in at my MI account as well.
Though, USB debugging is enabled, my PC here is unable to detect the phone.
