Let make a quick poll about what is your phone ROM and kernel
Me: custom Rom
Let's see how good Google do with their own devices

I voted stock/stock
I've been using custom kernels a bit, but the ones I use aren't updated for beta usually, so I've been stock for a while. I'm on stable 13 now since a few days ago on my P7pro. I should see if they're compatible now. My P5 is on 14. No kernels I use are ready for it that I know of

The most important reason I switched to custom ROM is the battery life. P7 stock battery life is so bad. And the next thing is I can hide navigation pill, lol
Hmm now all options come near equal to each other, interesting
Stock and custom kernel. Battery life is great. Doing nothing special, no rogue apps and never running below 50% battery.
Currently on stock June firmware with Kirisakura kernel & I get amazing battery life. Getting 10-12hr screen on time.
Before this I've tried GrapheneOS, XtendedXT, but mainly ran RisingOS-Core. None of them got the same battery life I do now no matter what kernel I tried. Maybe the June firmware is improved? IDK, I'll have to test them out again once custom roms update to the June release.

Ahhh ok. I had major difficulty also with some UK banking apps and another app... Until i tried magisk Alpha (not to be confused with an alpha version of the original...).
If you wanna try, just use magisk hide (for the app) and configure the deny list for banking apps along with google playstore, google framework services etc. App here
Thread here
You may still need to use safetynet-fix-v2.4.0-MOD_1.3-Zygisk.zip. I haven't had the need to use zygisk at all - it is not enabled. See here

Yup, I appreciate they are basic methods but... My biggest problem was with latest UK Barclays app detecting root. Tried soo many options and was about to concede to either not rooting (or unrooting once app data is restored for banks sake) or the alternative was to stick to an outdated version of the banking app that did work - which will eventually cease to work further on down the line as the version loses support.
Honestly, the magisk alpha by @vvb2060 just works - stand alone, no modules flashed for P7P running EvoX. However, another app on my tablet was just as stubborn for detecting root, so I flashed latest MOD_1.3 safetynet fix for good measure and all was well.
Could be worth a try...

I already said no way to hide root bro, included magisk delta, alpha, shamiko, hidemyapp.... (Tried all)
The only way works now is flashing kernelSU. But it just matter of time when they find out rooted device.

Other app can easily bypass by normal magisk with denylist (of course, safetynet patch first)
But nowadays, app keep updating, they force user if want to use app, unroot. They detect unlock bootloader etc...
Even if I use stock ROM with unlocked bootloader, they detected it

AS the name implies this is a stock rooted Android 5.0.1 Lollipop ROM!
The one we have been waiting for!
Features
100% Stock
Rooted
Busybox
No other edits
FSTRIM on install
Powered by SuperSU
Notes:
Should update bootloader. It is attached as a ZIP file but is not flashable! You need to fastboot flash it. For those in windows I have batch file in there along with ADB and fastboot.
First boot is a loooooooooooong time! About 5 to 7 minutes!
You must be on TWRP 2.8.1.0+ for this ROM to Flash properly!
Troubleshooting
If you get no status bar reboot to recovery and clear all cache. If that doesnt work try flashing the factory image then flash TWRP again and then this ROM.
Getting Symlinks failed during install? Make sure /system is unchecked in TWRP mounts
Problems with internal storage? Look at THIS POST for fix by @freakzapster
Root not working right? Flash newer SuperSU by @Chainfire but play store update should be fine!

Let me know what you guys think... They changed some things around and I am "semi" anticipating problems. Obviously I had zero testing time beings I started on it as soon as I got out of work and upload it after a very minimal function test: Play Store, Hangouts, GPS, Maps and that was it.
Let me know if you see any issues.

Apart from updated binaries any other noticeable changes?

You can prolly get buy with 4.02, many people did on the initial 5.0.0. release.

Normally me too , but I figured since it was only a minor update and I was already running the same stock 5.0.0 ROM I'd give it a try. Eveything seems fine so far. No issues at all yet.
Flashed ROM , works great. Ty scrosler
Edit: Sadly tons of 3rd party apps still haven't been updated for Lollipop even after almost 1 month since it was released. Minion Rush and Dead Trigger 2 still work like I have a 2009 device. It's the app's fault or Lollipop's hardware acceleration or memory management, but I am 80% sure that it's because those apps haven't been updated. They work fine for 2 seconds then another 2-3 seconds they go into slow motion mode and sadly I have to go back to KK until this is fixed
Dirty flashed over stock rooted 5.0.0... No issues... And no noticeable differences between both, so far.
Are there any problems if we use CWM instead of TWRP? I'm not a TWRP kid of guy...
Thanks.
So it looks like YouTube mediaplayer is fixed and (at last!) volume control on animated gifs in Instagram works properly (previously it was changing notifications level not media). Hopefully WiFi connection will be also stable but this needs a longer testing.
TY scrosler.
Ok, flashed one hour ago, maked the wipes and all pretty smooth here.
Scott youre the master! As always
Running perfect, but I didn't have a problem with 5.0 either.
If this fixes YouTube I'll be pleased as punch :thumbup:

Hello,
I, on the contrary, am having GREAT BATTERY LIFE on OOS 10.3.0.
Anyway, about your issue...
"Android System" is not actually a standalone APK or app. A lot of other apps are encompassed within "Android System" so, the high battery drain on "Android System" may actually be caused by another app. We couldn't tell by merely looking at the pictures you provided...if you really want to get serious about it, you can try installing some well-known battery monitor apps and then measure/identify which apps are really causing it (the high battery drain).

I've rolled back to 10.0.3, and everything is becoming ok.
I didn't make any change on 10.3.0, everything is just like the older 10.0.3, but got a very high battery drain on 10.3.0.
Which battery monitor app can find the most power-hungry app exactly?

The latest version of arter kernel (r50b1) even doesn't need that module anymore as it fixes the OP issues.
on the contrary I've been getting great battery life on 10.3.0, make sure you do a clean stock flash with no custom kernel
I was on 10.0.2. Downloaded 10.3 and upgraded without any data loss.
Initially faced battery drain but then wiped cache and now all good.
hmm i also noticed this but for me telegram takes the battery drain as per battery statics
tried restricting app also not helping i used servicely app to stop the service still its running in background for some time

As noted, this is an issue with the OnePlus stock kernel on international build after you flash a custom kernel.
Install that module it will kill the process after reboot. 10.3.0 issue only with custom kernels. As you noted 10.0.3 fine with a custom.
But you will then get annoying 10.3 upgrades notices next. I might go back to 10.3 and leave it stock the kernel. Some kernel Devs said they might not do builds anymore for international builds due to OnePlus and what they are doing with the kernel build on those causing issues like this.
This should be a sticky thread because once Devs feel they can't support a specific device...then people should be aware of this. Now it seems that they don't want to deal with the most popular build, international version for kernels.
At this rate, might as well just get a S11 when it comes out and bail on OnePlus...haha

NO, the module is come from a China custom kernel developer, he post this message in a Chinese forum which must download it's app and sign up an ID.
The link below is a preview version, you must use the coolapk app if you want to look over the comment or the author's other posts.

Let me get this straight:
In order to upgrade to LineageOS 19 i simply install the build via adb + the gapps?
No wiping or anything required?
Or can i just install your unofficial build @npjohnson via adb and im done? Because gapps are included in your version.

AWESOME! Thank you! I will be testing LOS A12 soon and will report back!!

(Nova launcher on vídeo)
This ROM is AWESOME! The only hiccups I hit early on was now playing was failing to start, with WiFi failures and not seeing my internet either WiFi or mobile and wouldn't start. I just clicked the WiFi button from within the now playing and joined my non 5G WiFi and it popped on and immediately started the DB download and worked! Thank you and AWESOME work! SafetyNet passes with NF working, ETC, NO issues, NO bugs I can find!!
This is the LOS version with manual MindTheGapps plus Universal SafetyNetFix plus RIRU, that's what is needed for safteynet to pass. This LOS runs fantastic!
Edit note update, I'm not sure it's working yet. I'm getting the download start over and over and it hasn't picked up anything yet, but that's not unusual when not playing music.

Maybe so but it's what you need to do to pass safetynet but I don't think it's a ROM issue. I think it's a gapp framework issue. And no I used the official LOS method with gapps. It failed out of the box with nothing but OS and GAPPs so it's not coming from that if that's where you were going.

Understood, and you will find the majority of us will prefer LOS official, vs an aftermarket, unofficial project. I like to run LOS directly with my own choice of GAPPs so I get it from LOS website and usually opengapps. That's why I think the issue isn't with the ROM but the GAPPs, I'll dig into it.

No, the issue is that this device uses hardware, backed safety net, and without patching frameworks you can't bypass that, my ROM does so, the official one cannot and will not

Once I'm in a safetynet pass state, everything is certified, NF shows up and the works. This is the STOCK/LOS version (which most of us will take/use) over an unofficial/personal project:
I like the newer version of LOS. Worked perfectly on my Pixel phone. however, my device can not pass CTS profile and Widewine is still L3 even Netflix can download normally

Use the unofficial. It has both those working.

You need safetynet fix plus riru to pass SN then you'll be certified and NF will work and popup in the store. I wrote it a post above your question. NF will be SD though with L3.
Everyone here, I apologize, I was tired when I wrote this the other day but I realized that I misspelled lsposed zygisk and my custom typo dictionary filled in riru for my older comments regarding riru/zygisk. Riru is the not the right term so I'm putting the magisk module list again to visualize what I meant (hopefully I didn't confuse anyone with this wording mishap).
You only need safetynetfix and zygisk lsposed (lsposed used to be riru) so that's where the typos come into play here (self corrected from custom dictionary):
Coming from A13 and felt like joining the fray. Is it safe to assume that stable 12 will work just as well for a base, rather than flashing 12.1 beta?
I was on 12L for a bit and I don't recall the firmware being any different, and using a stable build to flash from seems to make more sense.
Any confirmation would be appreciated.
Thank you for the build.

Good afternoon. Please fix NFC.
How do I make the stock one pass the safety net without rooting (the same way the unofficial image you posted does)?
Can't find any tutorials online

Just tried it on my troika - it works fine. Do you have kane, troika, or P50?

Weird, my banking app works on your unofficial build but doesn't work on the official one. Any idea which of the additional things you installed might be responsible? Are you able to post the changes you made to the unofficial build so I can try to isolate it?
I'm using the troika image.
Sorry for bothering you, I really want it to work.

Huh that is interesting, the manifest for the build is public in the manifest folder on my site download.ods.ninja
I'm running official ROM on Kane. Everything seems to be fine but the screen colours, which are a little off, even though I followed the wiki instructions.
I am running lineage 19.1 and It ia verry smooth like the lineage 18.1, the only issue is the safetynet on the oficial build. But for me everything is working Fine.
Does your unofficial build pass SafetyNet?
Seen a comment around saying that it was a typo.

no it doesn't.
First of all thank you for choosing ONE ACTION as a part of Official device. You are developing very best but any how can solve the safety net issue? Please it is the problem why I can't be able to experience it very smoothly.
Once again thank you

Try Magisk, find a way to make it work, let me know.
I was able to get safetynet working on the One Action official build with MindTheGapps by following the below steps:
You need to install these modules in magisk:
- Shamiko
- MagiskHide Props Config
- Universal SafetyNet Fix
- If you want to use Google Pay install Gpay SQLite Fix
For props config you want to edit device fingerprint to an android 12 supported devices (i used pixel 5) and force BASIC key attestation (i used pixel 5 again). Then just use denylist on GSF, Play Store (im not sure if its needed) and any other app you want to hide root from. Make sure you disable Enforce Deny List. Then you can clear data from Play Store, GMS, and Google Pay (if you need it). Google Pay might not work immediately (took a couple of reboots to get it to work) and Netflix and other apps might not appear in the Play Store at first.
SafetyNet passes now and I have access to Netflix, Google Pay, and my banking apps.

after click an image not saving and the camera is still processing in background And the background processing is doing LAGGY to full system. Full system is lagging after click an image it is a bug or else..
Thank You #npjohnson

UPDATED FOR April 21st 2023
I am not affiliated with the official Evolution-X team.
link to kernel source: https://github.com/psybernetiq/kernel_google_redbull_tiramisu-pixel
my other repos for the device and vendor are there as well.
downloads:
EvolutionX-13 - Google Drive
drive.google.com
flash the vendor_boot img. Then adb sideload the zip file in recovery.
Notes:
BACKUP YOUR DATA FOR THIS BUILD. YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO RESET YOUR DEVICE TO FLASH THS ROM. SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE.
I make reference to 9.9.9.9 (quad9 dns) rather than 1.1.1.1 (cloud flare) to 1 part in the code under bionic/libc/dns/net/getaddrinfo.c.
I added bromite webview support (does not require you to be rooted)
I added a flag called TARGET_IS_PIXEL_5 := true so that this device gets a hit to make persist.sys.disable_rescue=true. Without this, the device will boot but then reboot to recovery within ~10seconds.
I did not add wireguard support to the kernel this time. Let me know if you want me to add it back in.
passes safety net
The screen on my pixel 5 cracked back in March and I got a Pixel 7 Pro. I still have the pixel 5, though, and I tested this rom on the device before uploading and sharing here.
The March update was super late coming from Google, and the Evolution-X team was making a bunch of changes during this time (and they still are.) So consider this release an off-cycle release.
I was also having trouble building the ROM for a few weeks due to my laptop's RAM (32GB) being fried but not really making it clear to me that that was the problem. I had been using Qubes as my OS but have since gone back to good 'old Linux Mint. I liked Qubes but it's kinda a pain to constantly fuss with allocating the USB drives and I suspect the constant use of my 32GB of RAM to run all the virtual machines therein contributed to the premature death of my RAM cards (~1 yr old).
I build this ROM in the same tree as for my Pixel 7 Pro, so I should continue to make updates going forward for the Pixel 5. I'm planning on adding the Pixel 3XL and OG Pixel ("sailfish") as well, since I own all those phones, too.
Due to this trouble with my PC, the pathways to my keys (the ones you can see in /system/etc/security/otacerts.zip, you can see it includes the entire pathway where the keys are actually located in my PC) changed and I think that's why you have to clear data on this ROM. I'm also using a different Github repo now, too, as part of a rebranding process I'm doing.
Enjoy!

If the worst that could happen is having to factory reset and start over if it doesn't work then I'll give it a shot.

Please, cann you try bt headphone volume? On prew build was litlebit low.
got some freezes here and there when adjusting quick settings and had to reboot, but all in all seems to be a nice rom.
only thing i'm missing are advanced navbar settings like "force close active app when holding back-button"
also "connectivity thermal power manager" apparently draws way to much battery
@aleph.mercury I really do enjoy this rom but is there any chance that we can get Now Playing working on this ROM? I tried to enable it through the settings and it does nothing.

I want to say that I tried to install it on the unbound evolution x rom and it didn't work I ended up in a bootloop, have you tried it on this rom yet
Edit: It works on this rom
seems that "connectivity thermal power manager" and "com.android.hbmsvmanager" are drawing way to much power. together they drew like 50% and i had to recharge my phone midday, which usually never happens
