Hello,
I, on the contrary, am having GREAT BATTERY LIFE on OOS 10.3.0.
Anyway, about your issue...
"Android System" is not actually a standalone APK or app. A lot of other apps are encompassed within "Android System" so, the high battery drain on "Android System" may actually be caused by another app. We couldn't tell by merely looking at the pictures you provided...if you really want to get serious about it, you can try installing some well-known battery monitor apps and then measure/identify which apps are really causing it (the high battery drain).

Have you try to do a wipe cache after the update? If no , test you have nothing to loose

I've rolled back to 10.0.3, and everything is becoming ok.
I didn't make any change on 10.3.0, everything is just like the older 10.0.3, but got a very high battery drain on 10.3.0.
Which battery monitor app can find the most power-hungry app exactly?

Yes, i'm using blu_spark_r67 kernel, but i'm in 10.0.3 now, can't test this temporarily.
I'll try it when i update to 10.3.x next time.

The latest version of arter kernel (r50b1) even doesn't need that module anymore as it fixes the OP issues.
on the contrary I've been getting great battery life on 10.3.0, make sure you do a clean stock flash with no custom kernel
I was on 10.0.2. Downloaded 10.3 and upgraded without any data loss.
Initially faced battery drain but then wiped cache and now all good.
hmm i also noticed this but for me telegram takes the battery drain as per battery statics
tried restricting app also not helping i used servicely app to stop the service still its running in background for some time

As noted, this is an issue with the OnePlus stock kernel on international build after you flash a custom kernel.
Install that module it will kill the process after reboot. 10.3.0 issue only with custom kernels. As you noted 10.0.3 fine with a custom.
But you will then get annoying 10.3 upgrades notices next. I might go back to 10.3 and leave it stock the kernel. Some kernel Devs said they might not do builds anymore for international builds due to OnePlus and what they are doing with the kernel build on those causing issues like this.
This should be a sticky thread because once Devs feel they can't support a specific device...then people should be aware of this. Now it seems that they don't want to deal with the most popular build, international version for kernels.
At this rate, might as well just get a S11 when it comes out and bail on OnePlus...haha

NO, the module is come from a China custom kernel developer, he post this message in a Chinese forum which must download it's app and sign up an ID.
The link below is a preview version, you must use the coolapk app if you want to look over the comment or the author's other posts.

Hello,
What's this ?
Related
AS the name implies this is a stock rooted Android 5.0.1 Lollipop ROM!
The one we have been waiting for!
Features
100% Stock
Rooted
Busybox
No other edits
FSTRIM on install
Powered by SuperSU
Notes:
Should update bootloader. It is attached as a ZIP file but is not flashable! You need to fastboot flash it. For those in windows I have batch file in there along with ADB and fastboot.
First boot is a loooooooooooong time! About 5 to 7 minutes!
You must be on TWRP 2.8.1.0+ for this ROM to Flash properly!
Troubleshooting
If you get no status bar reboot to recovery and clear all cache. If that doesnt work try flashing the factory image then flash TWRP again and then this ROM.
Getting Symlinks failed during install? Make sure /system is unchecked in TWRP mounts
Problems with internal storage? Look at THIS POST for fix by @freakzapster
Root not working right? Flash newer SuperSU by @Chainfire but play store update should be fine!

Let me know what you guys think... They changed some things around and I am "semi" anticipating problems. Obviously I had zero testing time beings I started on it as soon as I got out of work and upload it after a very minimal function test: Play Store, Hangouts, GPS, Maps and that was it.
Let me know if you see any issues.
Well that was fast!
Apart from updated binaries any other noticeable changes?
Thanks! Been waiting for this one ☺.
You mention in OP updating bootloader- what version is required? Say I'm on ver 4.02, do I need to update it?

Sorry... I put the bootloader in the op and you should be on 4.04.
You can prolly get buy with 4.02, many people did on the initial 5.0.0. release.

Normally me too , but I figured since it was only a minor update and I was already running the same stock 5.0.0 ROM I'd give it a try. Eveything seems fine so far. No issues at all yet.
Flashed ROM , works great. Ty scrosler
Edit: Sadly tons of 3rd party apps still haven't been updated for Lollipop even after almost 1 month since it was released. Minion Rush and Dead Trigger 2 still work like I have a 2009 device. It's the app's fault or Lollipop's hardware acceleration or memory management, but I am 80% sure that it's because those apps haven't been updated. They work fine for 2 seconds then another 2-3 seconds they go into slow motion mode and sadly I have to go back to KK until this is fixed
Dirty flashed over stock rooted 5.0.0... No issues... And no noticeable differences between both, so far.
Are there any problems if we use CWM instead of TWRP? I'm not a TWRP kid of guy...
Thanks.
So it looks like YouTube mediaplayer is fixed and (at last!) volume control on animated gifs in Instagram works properly (previously it was changing notifications level not media). Hopefully WiFi connection will be also stable but this needs a longer testing.
TY scrosler.
Ok, flashed one hour ago, maked the wipes and all pretty smooth here.
Scott youre the master! As always
Running perfect, but I didn't have a problem with 5.0 either.
If this fixes YouTube I'll be pleased as punch :thumbup:

I don't think so....
but maybe ist my fault, cause since it's an apk file I cannot flash it with twrp.
first attempt I placed apk in /system_root/system/app, but I think that is worng destination.
I don't see /system in twrp even if I try to mount it, but I'm not sure if I do it correctly...I just checked system in Mount option but didn't hit "disable MTP"
will now try to copy the file with mixplorer to /system/app, cuase i can see it there...
but I really don't know if this will change... feeling a bit lost right now ^^
edit:
just did so, but I don't see any difference in yt-vanced. so I think it didn't work....
Is there any way to know for sure if the installed app is the rooted version?

Official builds running on Saturday night.
I'm currently on 18.1 official and just got an OTA notice about this build (19). Currently using OpenGapps micro for Android 11, should I wait for that to update before i download the new 19 ROM or is it okay to switch to MindTheGapps? The test builds for OpenGapps don't work for SDK32 according to the OpenGapps thread, so I would need to switch to get Gapps.
Just an FYI I moved over to official builds since they released today seems you can't manually pick the Material You colour from the wallpaper and style menu.
I *think* it was there on the unofficial build.
Front Camera Not Working
Yep this weeke update didn't fix the front camera either
The screen size of the app don't macht my phone screen, please check attached pics.
Only the nova settings screens is ok, the rest are positoned on the upper left side of the screen. But only at graphic level. The interface level (touchs) is recognized at full screen. It makes the phone almost unusable.
It works fine with lineageos 18.1.
I don't know if it is a configuration issue or another problem.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Are the above issues (front camera and screen size) are still problematic in the most recent builds?

UPDATED FOR April 21st 2023
I am not affiliated with the official Evolution-X team.
link to kernel source: https://github.com/psybernetiq/kernel_google_redbull_tiramisu-pixel
my other repos for the device and vendor are there as well.
downloads:
EvolutionX-13 - Google Drive
drive.google.com
flash the vendor_boot img. Then adb sideload the zip file in recovery.
Notes:
BACKUP YOUR DATA FOR THIS BUILD. YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO RESET YOUR DEVICE TO FLASH THS ROM. SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE.
I make reference to 9.9.9.9 (quad9 dns) rather than 1.1.1.1 (cloud flare) to 1 part in the code under bionic/libc/dns/net/getaddrinfo.c.
I added bromite webview support (does not require you to be rooted)
I added a flag called TARGET_IS_PIXEL_5 := true so that this device gets a hit to make persist.sys.disable_rescue=true. Without this, the device will boot but then reboot to recovery within ~10seconds.
I did not add wireguard support to the kernel this time. Let me know if you want me to add it back in.
passes safety net
The screen on my pixel 5 cracked back in March and I got a Pixel 7 Pro. I still have the pixel 5, though, and I tested this rom on the device before uploading and sharing here.
The March update was super late coming from Google, and the Evolution-X team was making a bunch of changes during this time (and they still are.) So consider this release an off-cycle release.
I was also having trouble building the ROM for a few weeks due to my laptop's RAM (32GB) being fried but not really making it clear to me that that was the problem. I had been using Qubes as my OS but have since gone back to good 'old Linux Mint. I liked Qubes but it's kinda a pain to constantly fuss with allocating the USB drives and I suspect the constant use of my 32GB of RAM to run all the virtual machines therein contributed to the premature death of my RAM cards (~1 yr old).
I build this ROM in the same tree as for my Pixel 7 Pro, so I should continue to make updates going forward for the Pixel 5. I'm planning on adding the Pixel 3XL and OG Pixel ("sailfish") as well, since I own all those phones, too.
Due to this trouble with my PC, the pathways to my keys (the ones you can see in /system/etc/security/otacerts.zip, you can see it includes the entire pathway where the keys are actually located in my PC) changed and I think that's why you have to clear data on this ROM. I'm also using a different Github repo now, too, as part of a rebranding process I'm doing.
Enjoy!
Can we flash this on top of your unbound rom without a factory reset?

If the worst that could happen is having to factory reset and start over if it doesn't work then I'll give it a shot.

Awesome thanks for letting me know, so to update the rom would I just sideload it in recovery?

Please, cann you try bt headphone volume? On prew build was litlebit low.
got some freezes here and there when adjusting quick settings and had to reboot, but all in all seems to be a nice rom.
only thing i'm missing are advanced navbar settings like "force close active app when holding back-button"
also "connectivity thermal power manager" apparently draws way to much battery
@aleph.mercury I really do enjoy this rom but is there any chance that we can get Now Playing working on this ROM? I tried to enable it through the settings and it does nothing.

I want to say that I tried to install it on the unbound evolution x rom and it didn't work I ended up in a bootloop, have you tried it on this rom yet
Edit: It works on this rom
seems that "connectivity thermal power manager" and "com.android.hbmsvmanager" are drawing way to much power. together they drew like 50% and i had to recharge my phone midday, which usually never happens
If you aren't an advanced user and just want a daily stable device, I recommend you to use Xiaomi.eu or Stock (you will need Zygisk to bypass Play Integrity/Safetynet)
I've been using this phone for more than a year and I've tried many roms, so here are the best ROMs in my
opinion.
0. Stock ROM: it's not custom and ships with bloatware, but it's the most stable one and least bugs has. If you want a locked bootloader and max security use this.
1. Xiaomi.eu: Best custom ROM with a lot of enhancements, the best option if you don't want root.
2. LineageOS: the second best custom rom for this device but it needs Magisk and setup a lot of things to work well, if you are an advanced user I recommend you this rom.
3. Arrow OS: AOSP ROM with a very smooth performance.
4. EliteROM Stable: MIUI ROM based in Xiaomi.eu, it has little visual bugs.
5. Crdroid: AOSP ROM based in Lineage, NFC don't work with Mifare Classic and has more visual bugs than Arrow, it has a great performance in games.
6. Evolution X: AOSP ROM, it has visual bugs and your device maybe gets hot, but it's very good in gaming.
Honorable mentions:
- LineageOS for microG
- Divest OS
- /e/
I've been using LineageOS for almost 2 years now, can you please ellaborate on the issues you're facing with it? I never experienced issues and i'm very curious to hear about your story.

It doesn't bypass Safetynet by default, userdebug ROM, bugs in launcher when clicking home button, NFC and Bluetooth don't work.
Also, if you are using LineageOS for 2 years, which firmware version are you using?

Safetynet pass by default is correct, that's intended, but can we worked around. I have not experienced the launcher bug. NFC and Bluetooth work for me!
I was on LOS 18.1 with firmware 12.0.3.0 i think, now im using 13.0.3.0 with LOS 19.1
Maybe those issues were there when it was still unofficial, but is has been official since 1.5 years or so

I will give a try with V13.0.3.0.SJUMIXM firmware
I have a few additions to my last comment:
I am on global firmware.
SystemUI seems to crash (sometimes) when replying on messages via notification
OTA sometimes results in a bootloop, though you only have to reflash gapps and sometimes magisk + enable data on play store again.
I used 13.0.5 or 13.0.9 firmware and experienced random reboots but not on 13.0.3
Seriously haven't found anything weird other than those things

I mean, random reboots on any firmware is pretty serious bug.

Yeah still testing it, also seems to happen when the motherboard is dying because of the solder, but so far 13.0.3 seems stable. Not completely sure if it was the firmware yet.
You said that "almost everything" works on Arrow. Can you elaborate? I'm seriously considering installing a custom ROM.

Yeah, with that firmware most of the bugs are gone.

In Arrow 13.1 most of the bugs are visual. I never had problems with apps or the system stability. Also great performance and battery live.
I'm in need of orientation, so if anyone could guide me please
I have an x3 pro and I've been looking for the nearest pure android rom to get rid of mui14
My only issue with miui is that in the developers options there isn't any quick mozaic/tile to shut off the phone's sensors (cameras and mic are the ones i want to shut off). Is there any way to shut them off? (only software methods). If not could anyone please recommend me the best rom in order to replace miui?

The MIUI rom is so good that I can't find in Google, so for sure it's another crap custom rom with a lot of bugs.
And rising os is another cancer.
I don't recommend any of them.
I don't recommend the stock rom so much due to the deadboot issue that is occuring in Poco X3 Pro due to high temps even at idle. Xiaomi.eu is not pretty bad but second space feature (Multi-User) is not simple. Arrow OS being AOSP is still a good pick for me.
So you must not have tested RemakSo you must not have tested Remak
For me after months of testing the best is CrDroid 9 + NGK Kernel + X3 Pro profiles for NGK kernel, it has battery and gaming profile made specaily for Poco X3 Pro.
Second is xiaomi.eu if you want MIUI but it has problems locking apps in background, system kills some of them, I heard it's a long time bug on MIUI and xiaomi.eu
Third is maybe Evolution X if you want good AOSP with some useful features.
Arrow and Lineage is probably good, never used them because they are too minimal for my taste.
